@RumikoOharaBecause they played out the class and you do NOT have to play out the classes. They should only be relevant if some sort of important plot information or anything plot related is being done. That is why they fail. That may just be a common thing on this site but school RPs are successful everywhere else. In the end, RPs only fail when the writers just lose inspiration, go AWOl, or simply move on. RPs are meant to be enjoyed while they last.

As for the toon powers thing, I also disagree. I've seen comedy characters workout to everyone's enjoyment. The silliness aspect would have just been to make for a silly character, but I plan to make her serious. I'm not at a computer so I couldn't give you an example of what I mean by Faust silliness.

I can't decide to make her Domino-like or a Domino/Punisher type. :)

Uh, could you describe the toon powers? I'd hate to put you to the bother of working on a character only to have it denied solely based on the power.

Also, when would you guys want me to post the OOC? Do you want me to wait for some more interest?
I think we can hit a middle ground by having a team of young heroes being actively mentored and guided in the field by more seasoned heroes.

Also, comedy characters are awful. The very word "Toon" in a superpower RP is a massive red flag.

I disagree about comedy characters being awful, the tone of RP I'm looking to set is lighthearted for the most part, serious events here or there but largely fun and upbeat rather than gritty and dark.
Also, how could you not have both a team or school aspect in the game? I've seen both the education/mentoring standpoint and the team standpoint all done in the same game.

I'd just rather do one or the other, the school setting would have events with villains and stuff, it's just they'd be more erratic and MHA based, with a team it'd be like solely villains along with a bit of slice of life. Also could you elaborate on the powers? I don't play guilty gear.
@Mr_pinkI watched that anime you are optionally styling your game to and I think the school theme influences character interaction, especially if characters are in the same classes as others. I am going to make a female for this and she will have toon powers. :) I have a pic of her on my computer, I'm just not on my computer and won't be for several hours lol.

What do you mean by 'toon powers'? I've seen powers described as that before, and I'm sorry to say, but if they're anything like I'm thinking of then your character wont be accepted.

@RumikoOhara Yeah, I get what you mean. I think I'm sort of leaning more towards the team aspect as well, but I'll wait for my co-gm to get in contact with me before I make any final decisions, if he comes online that is.

Also, if anyone else wants to be a co-gm just shoot me a PM and we can work it out.

Any preference on the school/team thing?

so you're not a big fan of Deadpool?

Nah, I used to like him a lot when I was young, I just sort of find him annoying these days.
<Snipped quote by Mr_pink>

yes as well as being aware that he's a comic book character lol

I'd probably lay off that bit, I find fourth wall breaks irksome most of the time in all honesty.

I'm thinking of an Ambush Bug inspired hero

That'd be cool, he's got teleportation right?
I feel like going with team missions would seem a little more fresh than just being at school in my opinion, I am interested in this. Are OCs allowed?

It's more like the school is specifically made to train heroes, along with teaching them the regular stuff. There'd be missions and events and stuff to keep it interesting. Original character's only, although I'm not against using an existing heroes power or even appearance if it's at least fan art.
I've been waiting for a roleplay like a teen titans one for a while now, so I've just decided to make my own. There's no coherent plot at the moment, as I am unsure whether or not to have this be more like Teen Titans, where the characters will mainly be based around being heroes and whatnot, or more based around My Hero Academia, where the characters will juggle being a hero with being a student in a school designed to make them professional heroes.

I'll be needing a reliable co-gm to help write the plot and manage the roleplay with me as I have exams coming up and an absence here or there could be a regular event for the next few weeks.

This is just to garner interest, please tell me if you'd rather have it be based around solely superhero-ing or the school thing as well!
