I think I want to make the Golden Boy character, I feel as if it's especially fitting of the media figure character as well.

GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Strong progress has been made on the character sheet template. It'll need its own damn instruction booklet (slight exaggeration), like, but it's happened regardless. I'll debate putting it up when it's completed, or waiting to post it along with the OOC. I know which choice most of you would prefer, but it's about what would work best for me (less pressure, more sense of organisation, etc). I promise the wait will be worth it.

Anyways, I have a few ideas for powers, but I'm really not sure which direction I'd like to go.

My first idea was someone with the ability to copy and turn into different energy signatures, allowing for various different effects depending on the types of energy that they had the ability to turn into. Electricity to travel through power lines and jump in and out of tech essentially, thermal energy to morph into fire or a cloud of sub-zero energy, electromagnetic for a whole wide range of outcomes. ETC. User may slowly learn how to make manipulate energy fields without morphing body.

Another brief idea I had was for someone who got a large boost in brain power, causing for both psychic abilities and extremely enhanced intellect. While the psionic abilities are still unclear, the main use of the power would come through technopathy and the ability to create a large array of gadgets for various situations, always adapting for the next thing. Might go Deus Ex and lose a limb or two for technological prosthetics, or piece together a sort of suit if I decide to go with this option.

Third, I was thinking about a "golden boy" type character, a little literally actually. Whatever it is that happens would trigger an effect that would jumpstart the evolution process slightly in the process of gaining superhuman abilities, creating what would be considered "peak" for a modern human. Stronger, more attractive, slower to age, smarter, hypnotic almost. But this would be the side effects of the real ability, which would be an aura of golden tinged energy, just barely visible to the human eye (like when you can see heat). This energy could be directed to different places and would be the ultimate "enhancer" for just about anything. Allocate the energy into the muscles to boost physical abilities, strength, speed, durability and the like, onto an object to turn it into a temporary invulnerable shield or boost the destructive power of a weapon, or even more obscure things like "flexing" the aura itself, giving a kind of hypnotic atmosphere around them and suggestive abilities, or even pushing the energy onto someone else to boost their healing process or the other individuals ability itself.

Still brainstorming and heavily undecided, just wanted to know if any of these sounded interesting.

• This makes things way easier, also I feel like removing the hard cap from the get will automatically create for a broader range of abilities from the characters, varying power levels often can create some really cool dynamics. Forcing a team aspect as some may have to actually rely on the skill set and abilities of the others instead of having a round-about way of completing any task they're faced with. Cool
• Fun! So we're the breakout stars huh? I'm assuming the actions we take near the beginning will have a heavy sway on the course of the media, and how we're viewed by the public? Soooo many possibilities if an individual played their cards right, I mean marketing yourself as the first breed of superhuman? As an athlete, I know how sponsorships work, and I mean if you could mingle with the right individuals and end up finding yourself in the right rooms at the right time, shaking the right hands? Sheesh you could probably find yourself outfitted with the most cutting edge tech, and backed by some amazing sponsors, what company wouldn't want their own personal superhero on payroll? I know I would. Of course, you'd have to play the media like a game, but what's the part of being in the spotlight without any influence? Besides the benefits of this would obviously be enormous if you could keep up with the demands of the companies and playing the constant game of social media figure.

I have access to discord, and as far as powers go what is the general ability range of our no doubt diverse cast of heroes? Are there other powered individuals, and if so are they common? Are any laws or special rules set in place, and also how would they be looked at by the general population? Am I asking too many questions and should I just shut my mouth now?
