You could always have the incident be something that happens when she's already in the military after having more training. She's on leave at home when the war starts and the attack begins. It would also make more sense for someone who's already a trained soldier to survive such a situation.

I would also add that the Turian defensive forces wouldn't buckle and retreat so haphazardly. Doctrine states that they'd hold out as long as possible before attempting to withdraw in good order, covering the retreat with traps and a strong rearguard. It wouldn't be a everyone for themselves dash.
@Deos Morran Oh so we're on the same page with that.

In the real US military, you go to officer training to gain an officer's commission. Hence why Lieutenants are young. But enlisted recruits wouldn't be a Lieutenant in a few years. It is incredibly rare for an enlisted to rise to a commissioned officer, especially so in such a short time. However that's the human military.

Everything we know about Turian ranks is that everyone joins at 15, and people who want to be officers train even longer than enlisted. They get promoted based on the recommendations of their peers and their superiors. So she would have been placed in training first, she wouldn't have been put into dangerous covert field assignments right away being so young. If she wanted to be a Lieutenant, the training would have been long and intense and she'd need to show command ability. And she'd still be a typical soldier, not an elite who gained the attention of the Spectres. So you'd have to come up with something that makes her stand out in her later career since you can't have a Reaper attack in her teenage years.

Yeah Aegon has a mexta. It's a turian sword, a family heirloom of his. Kind of like an officer's saber.
@DervishI agree. Aegon's edges are gene enhancements, jump jets, a space sword, and military training. With all that, he could fight a Krogan in melee combat but even then he couldn't punch him out or tackle him or anything. Smaller opponents have to be clever and cheat as much as possible when fighting a big guy.
@Deos Morran Well I don't think any Turian could out-muscle a Krogan but a clever one can disable them if skilled and quick enough.

Aegon is good in melee but he's one out of like a dozen people.

Also keep in mind that the Collectors didn't attack any Turian colonies and that the Reapers were basically a myth until the war happened. Also she's a Lieutenant despite being relatively young and inexperienced in comparison to other Turians. It would make more sense if she got some officer training once she hit 15.
She could always have her weapon fitted to be on cooldown rather than on thermal clips.
@rivaan That's my point, the Alliance wouldn't just discharge a multiple amputee and wish them good luck, ME 3 shows that they would have at least given her basic cybernetics or clone replacement parts.

Omni-Shields are retractable though. And Revenants have ungodly recoil. Having her dual wield them would be a tad too ridiculous.
@rivaan The sheet looks fine to me, the only thing I would say is that unless she had skin grafts, I don't think her skin would have grown back over the cybernetics. And that I think the Alliance would have sprung for basic cybernetics, I would hope the Alliance VA would be better than modern VAs.
Aegon considered it for a moment, "I see no reason not to. It could catch them off guard, give us even more of an advantage once we hit them. Take point. You're big, you can draw their attention while we maneuver into position. But don't stray too far and don't fire before I throw a flashbang, that'll be the signal to attack." He left it unsaid that having Ellis in front would give Aegon a clear view of his back should the former Cerberus agent prove to be treacherous. And that even if he wasn't he'd be an excellent bullet sponge, being both durable and expendable.

He decided to ignore Vella's borderline infuriating grin. It was clear the Asari still didn't take him seriously. That had to be rectified, and soon, but now wasn't the time. Perhaps she'd save him the trouble and blow herself up during the mission. If not, he had to get her to start acting like a professional. Aegon answered Rykarn's question, "You're right. We can't drag that many people along during a firefight. I have binders, but if you get a hold of someone without me there; feel free to get creative. Shoot a kneecap, break a leg, tap them on the head, whatever it takes. Once it's over, some Alliance MPs will help us round up everyone and transport them."

Aegon gave Sicaria a once over, his expression inscrutable. Her record had been good, both parents had been decorated. But she deserted, merc'd up. Abandoned her post, abandoned the cause, and turned criminal. She only came back when the Reapers were ravaging the galaxy. In the Hierarchy the penalty for desertion was demotion at best. In war, it was death. She was lucky the Citadel government and the Empire had bigger concerns than two deserters, but Sicaria and her partner were still technically fugitives. He didn't like deserters much, but he had had to enlist a few for help. He didn't like deserters that had a mouth even more; but this wasn't the military and she could be given a little leeway; as long as she didn't start blowing things up and nearly killing her teammates. Aegon decided to let her behavior slide for now and at least try to be polite, "Policy isn't our domain, what the suits do is their business. But from a practical standpoint, it's better to let dissidents talk then try and shut them up. Doing so only gives them more credibility. But once they start picking up arms, then we can take them down. Hence this mission. Now I believe that's all the bases covered. Does anyone else have anything to add? If not, we move out."
@AquaAzura Hmm, I like the character concept but there are a few tweaks needed.

Her characterization strikes me as a tad inconsistent. Either she's normally mellow and reserved and can keep her cool most of the time or she's has issues with controlling her emotions. A calm person will react strongly from time to time but if her rages are strong and common enough to warrant a mention in her psych profile then she isn't a calm person. Neither would she be if she's quick to berate people often.

Also, it's very unlikely her family would allow her to not take a breeding request or that she would refuse. Salarian society is set up to be a set up like Fuedalism and loyalty to the family is sacrosanct, especially since young children imprint on Dalatrasses at birth. If her family set up a contract for her, social and political reality would demand her obedience if her psychological imprinting didn't already.
I'd love a Salarian Medic character.

A Female Salarian would be very rare to have in the field but might work.
