Lord Finch sat scribbling text on a clean parchment as the Administrator entered his study out of breath.

"Herr Finch, word from the colonies has arrived! They made landfall on the east coast of the New Lands!"

"Excellent the colony is to be named Munich! " Finch said with glee "There is much more to be done though! Firstly, the Cartographer Guild is naming the new Lands. It is my wish that it be named New Germania in honor of all German people's ancestry. Send a preliminary sum of 5 Billion Franks."

"Ja Herr Finch."

"I want reports brought to me immediately regarding projects. "

"Gleich Herr Finch!" (Right away Lord Finch)

Excellent
I'm ready to continue
Haha no its an easy misconception given the time period, religion was prevalent I shouldn't have said it wasn't. It was just very corrupt and the people new it.
Actually not to be a thorn in anyone's side but historically speaking the dark ages had a lack of religion, that's why (along with the lack of proper documentation at the time) they are called the dark ages.

The great enlightenment and renaissance are when religion truly ruled people's lives. During the dark ages The Catholic church(most of Europe was catholic or orthodox) was very corrupt at this time, this lead to the breaking of the church and the formation of the protestant church and the beginning of the enlightenment.

The Dark ages were a period of feudal war that ground out nations after the fall of the Roman Empire.

This had been a history lesson with MrFoxNews

Cheers Gentlemen :P
I believe much of that has to do with we aren't exactly sure how much supplies and such cost. Essentially considering things in the 1700' s were priced differently than today
Can we put a map on the quick stat post?

That would be very convenient.
Markus Finch, Lord of Numburg sat wrapped in a fur cloak and dressed in loose military fatigues. He grumbled something about the cold to no one in particular.

A member of his administration Walked into the room cautiously.

"Herr Finch, a word please."

"Yes?" Finch replied somewhat mockingly.

"A report Herr Finch, from the coast. A mysterious ship was sighted by a trade vessel. According to the sailors who files the report it was the Mighty Hammer." The Administrator said his voice hushed.

"If the ship shows aggression towards Numburg notify me." Finch said.

"Further more I have an assignment for you and the rest of the administration, I would like a second colonization fleet sent to the southern half of the new world. But this fleet I want this fleet to be much larger, private investors will be allowed to accompany the fleet in any way they deem fit. Prepare the fleet to launch by early spring. "

"I have one last thing I want done. I have a project for our engineering team. One that I'm bent on finishing. Numburg requires a new form of transportation.... One that is not constricted by Land Or sea. I dream that one day our people will not sail to new lands but instead fly there."

"One last thing, send 5000 Regulars and 10000 Colonists to our border with Azor, once we have gained permission to cross the border we can continue moving them towards our allies. "

"See to it that they are enacted immediately! " Finch told the man.

With a salute the Administrator left.
