Pokemon Mercury: Accepting Applications Now!

Piper tried to cover her mouth as the smoke that the Weezing had used made her eyes water and her throat ache. She hated smoke. She felt a bit helpless, as her pokemon didn't know any moves that could help clear the smoke. So, she recalled Terra and tried to hunker down as the more experienced trainers handled it. As soon as she recalled Terra, though, she began to feel a strange sleepy sensation overcome her as a gentle melody came from somewhere nearby.

"What's going on?" She asked to the smoke, not really expecting a reply. She began to feel extremely sleepy and figured that she would probably pass out any second now. Piper sat on the ground, fighting to stay awake.

Piper felt intimidated by the man, but refused to stand down. "Everyone, don't let the pokeball touch your pokemon." She called the the people around her. She didn't want anybody to get hurt, but if the man caused caught flareon more chaos would ensue. She was weary about the arm attachment, though. Would it hurt the others pokemon around her?

Piper tried not to panic as an egg was shoved into her arms. Forced mega evolution? Who did that to pokemon? She wanted to try to help stop the rampaging pokemon but Venus and Terra were way too low level to actually help with anything. Instead, Piper decided to help with crowd control.

"Anybody who can, come over here!" She shouted. Piper watched as a few people came over to where she was standing. That's good, she thought, the more people I can keep calm and out of the way, the better. She looked over to where Terra was standing near her feet.

"Terra, if anybody tries to attack us, I need you to use sand-attack on them. Don't try to hurt them, just to confuse them so we can get away."

Piper was looking forward to the Gala for weeks. Her family had traveled all the way from Saffron City to view the different events and booths that would be available. While she was excited to witness the battling, Piper could honestly say the thing that she was most excited for was the actual viewing of the pokemon. She had even brought her notebook so that she could write down facts and observations about them (someday she hoped to have a pokedex but they seemed to be more expensive than she could afford at the time being.)

Piper and her family were checking out the different booths on breeding and pokemon care when Piper looked at the schedule and saw that a presentation was going to begin soon. Better yet, it was going to be a presentation that involved Sarah Smith, a well known pokemon gym leader! Piper thought that she could surely learn some tips from the gym leader.

As she said goodbye to her family, Piper separated from the group and made her way over to the seating area near the stage. Piper watched excitedly as Sarah released her pokemon from their pokeballs. All of them were very cool and well-trained pokemon, though she did have to admit that she had a bit of a bias for Sarah's ditto. The idea of a pokemon being able to transform into other pokemon was too cool!

Suddenly, though, something happened. Volkner called out to Sarah before their pokemon fell down in pain! Piper watched, eyes wide, as they were unable to be called back to their pokeballs. She also watched as ditto and haunter were sent out and instructed to look around.

Piper pushed through the small crowd closer to Sarah. She may be very new to having pokemon and battling, but Piper wanted to see if there was anyway she could help out. She couldn't just stand by while somebody was trying to hurt pokemon.

Appearance:


Goals: To explore the world and get to know about a bunch of different types of pokemon. Her main goal isn't to actually battle, but to become a pokemon researcher.

Background: Piper grew up in Saffron City with her parents and her younger brother, Austin. She had always wanted to travel and to learn more about pokemon, but wanted to complete her schooling first instead of leaving home at an early age. When she graduated from school she was gifted an egg that hatched into her first pokemon, Sandshrew.

Piper is in Hearthorne City with her family to explore and to watch the Gala. She doesn't want to participate, but since it is such a large event she figures that she will have plenty of opportunities to study different pokemon that she may otherwise never see.

Personality(Optional): Piper is a soft-spoken girl who spends most of her time taking care of her pokemon and studying. She is hard to get to know due to her shyness, but once you get to know her she's a caring and loyal friend.
