@MysT3CH Unfortunately I'm going to have to say No to Johnathan Reeves. He explicitly violates my "No Supernatural Hunter" clause in the Magic User section.
Must of missed that, no worries.
He is also an invincible Abmortal with the moonscarred ability. That combination is unacceptable since not only is he immortal and invincible but he possess a variety of other supernatural powers. In addition to that the character's abmortality includes powers far beyond simply cheating death, which is unacceptable.
The moon scarred thing was meant to be rendered impossible due to his immunity to disease. As per your reponse to my earlier inquiry. He cannot die yes. But is not invincible. Other beings of supernatural presence can harm him, as seen when the werewolf ate his arm. Which was stated in the CS. All damage he receives is tangible but heals quickly unless inflicted by a supernatural. So he can be stopped by them easily. And weapons which would normally affect supernaturals like silver would hurt him. Which I also stated, though perhaps was not clear on my intent. I am open to possible fixes for his abnormality i guess.
The curse also transfers and reverts supernaturals which I'm going to veto immediately as there is next to nothing in this world that will undo a supernatural change. If there were it would be rare, unheard of and the center of a lengthy card related mystery and would be directly related to that supernatural being not a blanket 'removes supernatural status'.
I can understand that, but again this isn't something he can control. and only happens if he is killed. I can remove this no problem. But it isn't like it would happen save to once during the RP (If he dies)
The prosthetic limb has no explanation since its not a period piece. It would need some sort of explanation (this is more knit pick since it appears to be there to simply shore up a potential interesting character weakness 'I lost an arm to a Wendigo'.)
Was a werewolf and i can explain it in the bio gladly, just didn't want to hit you with a book so skipped it.
Overall the character feels like he would have been quickly run out of Job by the combined might of the supernatural communities who would have identified him as an immediate threat given his current state and run him off. In summary the character is unbalanced and needs more work in terms of how he fits into Job. A few knit pick notes: General knowledge of the supernatural is rare, even rarer is knowledge about things like Reapers, angels, demons, and the divine messengers and harbingers of other faiths beyond the judo-christian faith. I left things like angels and demons off the list on purpose as they represent the initiation into some of the ultimate mysteries of the world like: Is there a god? a devil? Vishnu? What about the gods of other mythologies? Crow? Coyote? Ra? Sun Wukong? Thor? Job is purposefully written such questions unanswered though it hints at the fact that there may be more in the world beyond what I have listed. At this time I would prefer to keep it that way. Try again with the character and then let me know
I kind of wanted a character that would be at odds with the whole community. As i wanted to explore the idea of him being an outcast among outcasts. But alas, i again didn't factor the no hunter thing. I'll edit him up. Though him hunting the pack was really just meant to be his excuse to be there, I understand your reservation given that rule which I seemed to have over looked. Thank you for the timely feed back though.
A man physically in his late twenties, the baby faced Jonathon stands six feet tall. Possessing long black hair which extends to his shoulder blades. Upon his forehead he wears a red bandanna with his fringe emerging over it. A tattered red cloak always covers his frame in public, held in place over his shoulders and lower face by several buckles. Beneath, Jonathon's attire is comprised of a black dress shirt, a pinstriped vest - adorned with several straps and buckles - and black jeans. A gun holster of aged black leather is strapped to his right thigh, which match the knee high boots he wears upon his feet. Jonathon's most distinctive features are his pale complexion, crimson irises, and his gold plated prosthetic left arm.
Underneath the clothes, Jonathon is of a slim yet athletic build. Possessing musculature of exemplary definition due to his previous occupation as a mine worker. However, the entirety of his upper torso is lined with burn scars which also extend to his left shoulder. Additionally, there are also several scars from bullet wounds across his frame. Two near his heart, where a bullet entered and exited his body. One on the back of his right shoulder, and another on within the palm of his right palm. As well as three elongated scars from lacerations between his lower left ribs. The latter greatly resembling claw marks, despite being much too large to have come from even a bear. Horizontally, upon his forehead, sits a scar resembling a backwards 'F'. Which Jonathon always keeps hidden to the best of his ability.

Personality
An introvert by practice, Reeves is soft spoken, untrusting and attentive. While he prefers to speak only when necessary, and chooses his words with precision. When he does speak, he is usually well mannered and gentlemanly. Always addressing women, authorities and his elders with due respect. Unless he feels he is being unjustly disrespected. Externally, Reeves always appears tired and melancholy. Despite the fact that he is most frequently in an inward state of impassiveness. Yet this is not to say that he never shows signs of emotion, just that almost all of these expressions are practiced and false. As he sees the world as most know it as nothing but a collection of lies. Unlike most men, who grow angry when frustrated beyond relief, Jonathon has a habit of adopting a large and rather sinister grin. As if he enjoys the act of acting without restraint.
However, to those few people unfortunate enough to be trusted by him, Jonathon is known to be a very different man. Being not only a romantic, but also a protective and empathetic soul. Whose smile always seemed to infect those around him, and who always put others first. However, as these individuals dwindle in number, Jonathon seems to slip further into his stoic and at times sadistic role. It should be noted that while Reeves is aware of his supernatural ability, he does not know the full extent of his abilities/weaknesses, nor of the being whom first placed it upon him.
History
The eldest of twin boys, Jonathon was born in Chesterfield, Virginia. Born the bastard sons of, Jeremiah Rathom - who owned the largest Midlothian coal mine - Jonathan and his brother Conner were regular victim of physical abuse as a children. Constantly being used as outlets for their father's frustration with their mother. Esther. A local lady of the line. However, after Rathom caught her with another man, he shot her dead. Thus subsequently stopped supporting the boys, instead forcing them into slavery as forty-niners within his mine at age ten. Where they remained up until the second year of the civil war.
Yet, life would forever change for the duo in 1863, when a group of bandits momentarily used the mines as their hideout. As it was during the violent take over that the brothers managed to slip away. Utilizing an abandoned mine shaft in order to momentarily escape the assailants. Unfortunately, it was only after they had moved deeper into the shaft that they realized they faced are far worse fate. Hunted by a creature they would later come to know as a windigo, the brothers wound up spending the better part of two days hiding from the relentless predator. Escaping only due to the curiosity of the bandits, who sought to explore the shaft on the second day. Presenting the two with their chance for escape as the beast tore the men asunder. Sadly, neither would escape unscathed. As Conner was mauled by the beast as they made for the exit, Jonathon fought in an attempt to save him. Resulting in him having his spine fractured, and ribs broken as the beast slammed him against a nearby support beam. Leaving him unable to act as he watched it drag Conner back into the depths of the mine, blood filling his lungs as his brother's scream faded into obscurity.
Then he arrived.
The stranger with the glowing eyes. His skin was as black as coal, his body draped in cloth the color of blood. And with one touch, Jonathan shot awake. Instantly, the boy was gripped by fear, unable to so much as whimper as the thing which knelt above him firmly took his forehead within its grasp. It was only when an audible voice began to ooze from the being's mouth-less face, that Reeves at last screamed out. His forehead literally having been set ablaze.
Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. And from the Lord will your presence be hidden; And for eternity shall you restlessly wander on the earth. And it will be that whoever serves the Lord whom finds you, will kill you. And that anyone who kills Cain, will suffer the vengeance of the seven realms.
Thus it was that from that point on which Jonathon Reeves ceased to be a mortal man. Having lost consciousness, he awoke minutes later to find the mysterious 'man' absent and a mark upon his face his head. One he would later believe to be the biblical mark of Cain. Unaware of the fact that he had not only died, but had also been resurrected, and changed. Jonathon, in his renewed health, sought out the Windigo in an attempt to rescue his brother. When he found him dead, he entered a rage. Discovering the first of his abilities as a bearer of the mark in the form of his inability to die of normal means. Which he used to kill the Windigo using the weapons that the bandits had brought in.
However, rather than fear his curse. Jonathan embraced it. Throwing his life into a series of hunts. Intent on preventing tragedies similar to his own, he sought to hunt down and kill any 'hell spawn' he could locate as he made his way across the frontier. Yet despite his original intentions to protect others, as the war and years progressed, and his experiences grew darker. So too changed his goal, as fear began to turn self preservation into revenge. However, it wasn't until the final year of the civil war that his heart truly began to darken.
Having settled for a time in the riverside town of Blackwater, Jonhathon grew to be attached to a young woman by the name of Elizabeth Bell. The wife of a confederate Colonel, Elizabeth found herself at the center of one of Jonathan's investigations into a possible witch sighting. As rumors had massed that someone from Blackwater had been performing sacrificial rituals, lynching and disemboweling victims after covering them in demonic symbols prior to death. Stuck without a lead, despite having been there for months, Jonathon had just about given up on the hunt. Until one night he believed the witch had come for Mrs Bell, whose home Jonathon now slept within. Thus, he quickly rushed to her aid.
But nothing prepared him for what he then happened upon, finding a nude Elizabeth drawing similar ritualistic markings upon herself and another woman. Who lay unconscious before her. Although he initially thought she had somehow been influenced by the assailant. During their conversation, Mrs. Bell then revealed herself to be a Werewolf which had forsaken her pack in order to further her strength. Then attempted to take Jonathon's life. However, after being impaled by her claws, Reeves killed her. Shoving his left arm into her mouth as she moved to bite him prior to emptying his six shooter into her bowels. In one final act of defiance, Elizabeth then bit off his arm as she succumbed to the wounds he had inflicted.
Full of a new found fear of the supernatural, having discovered his first fully sentient species of supernatural, Jonathon inwardly vowed to find her remaining kin. Unsure of whether or not they too could call upon the dark arts, and pose a greater threat. Thus this event proved the catalyst for his eventual journey to Job.
Having spent the last year scrounging for any leads he could get on myth's related to werewolves around what was now Nevada, Jonathon eventually found himself in a small town on the border of Minnesota. While he originally came to question a local preacher who supposedly survived an encounter with a werewolf, it was here that he would meet the first of his allies. Minnesota Dill. An up and coming inventor, who had studied under George Stephenson himself, Dillon Openhauer was held back only by his wildly inventive mind. Hence was disregarded by the scientific world as insane for his unorthodox desire to apply steam technology within the most mundane of objects.
Yet, despite that, Dill had managed to develop many working prototypes of his designs. Most notably a design which allowed one to motorize a bicycle, allowing prolonged travel 'without need of a steed'. It was during a dispute over said object that Jonathon first made his acquaintance. Hamilton Weston - a dirty U.S. Martial who secretively led a group of bank robbers, sought to exploit the inventor for gain. Threatening to destroy all of his life's work and burn his town to the ground unless he complied.
Unable to simply ignore the situation, Jonathon intervened. Inadvertently making things worse. Weston, angered by the presence of the cripple whom single-handedly neutralized three of his four men, put two shells into Jonathon's head as he engaged the last. While Johnathon had managed to save Dill for the time being, when he suddenly awoke, fully recovered a short while after, he had to face another issue. Explaining what he was to the frightened man.
Much to his surprise, Dill took Jonathon's explanation rather well, reasoning that is he has wished him ill, he could have killed him long ago. Thus the duo begun to plan the defense of the Town of Hucksin. Unable to turn to the law for help, given the identity of their foe.
Certain the Marshal would return with a small army, Jonathon and Dill managed to rally nearly a half a dozen of the townsfolk to aid in their effort. Relying on some of Dill's more bizarre inventions in order to even the field. And so, when the Marshal returned with twenty men, the smaller group took them by storm. Decimating half the force with a type of stable explosive Dill has cooked up, and then buried around the town's exterior. It was then that Jonathon committed the crime which would forever make him a man wanted by the law. Gunning down seven of the remaining men before they could do any real damage to the town or town's folk, before proceeding to eat the Marshal to his death.
So it was that in a single day, Jonathon had become the savior of Hucksin, earned the respect of his new friend and became one of the most wanted men in the Wild West. Dubbed "Johnny Deadeyes" by one of the surviving thugs. Who seemed to have also exaggerated his body count, claiming he had killed twelve men. As payment for the debt he now owed to Reeves, Dill offered to construct for him an arm which could replace the one he had lost. Unable to refuse, Jonathon spent what remained of that year working with Dill until he had completed a model with which Reeves could viable combat the undead.
Seeking to spare his horse, Jonathon one day sought refuge within a small town saloon during his journey to Nevada. It was here that he would break bread with his second ally upon the western frontier. Hankshaw Moore. A spirit bound to the building itself, Moore had turned the saloon into something of a sinister trap. Making use of his daughter, Sally, and the other soiled doves in order to punish those who would mistreat them. While many would view his fate as an eternal torment, being forced to watch time and time again as his offspring 'pleased' various men for little but coin. Others, such as Jonathon, saw it as something else. As here was the spirit of a man who had sent his own daughter into prostitution, now punishing men who sought only to harm and exploit them.
Having himself fallen into the snare after Moore attack him -viewing as a threat to the girls after deducing his inhuman nature - Reeves soon found himself at Moore's mercy. As the spirit had slashed and bludgeoned the man with manipulated objects until he had 'killed' him twice over. It was only as Jonathon rose to his feet a third time, and Moore flew into a frenzy, that the spirit ceased its attack. For Jonathon had subjected himself to yet another fatal wound in order to protect the by-standing woman from being struck by Moore's final assault.
When Reeves finally came to hours later, having had his body continuously stabbed by a myriad of debris, he was met by none other than the spirit of Hankshaw Moore himself. As well as his 'lil' girls'. After the two each inquired as to what the other was, they exchanged apologies and decided to come to an agreement. So long as he never threatened any of the girls, Hankshaw would help Reeves where he could. In return, so long as the spirit adhered to the same, and never killed anyone who wasn't threatening one of his girls, Jonathon would never train his sights on it. Thus, birthed the outlaw's first supernatural friendship, and his belief that not every supernatural force was necessarily a threat. Leading him to doubt his mission of extermination for the first time since he discovered the werewolf race.
Unable to determine the authenticity of his cause without tangible evidence, he ultimately decided that his only choice was to press on. Leaving the final decision to be made once he had arrived in Job.
Personal Cards and Hand
Personal cards- 2 Hand- XI - Justice Mysteries- Bell of the Wolves
The Mark of Cain - An ancient and biblical curse of notorious strength, said to be the first curse to be placed upon man. The mark always possesses a host, and can only be transferred to another at the will of it's current host. Those afflicted by this curse possess a supernatural immortality. Where they cannot be killed by anything of purely of the human realm. Thus, while bullets, blades, and other earthly objects can temporarily damage the flesh - due to an fairly expedient healing factor-, they cannot damage the bone. However, should the afflicted be harmed by paranormal entities, or objects blessed (or cursed) by otherworldly forces, said damage is potentially permanent. Hence, capable of scarring and/or inflicting permanent death.
Dismemberment by such objects will result in the afflicted's death, but should they be killed without passing on the curse, it will be transferred to their murderer. However, as it was meant for humans, should said individual be anything other than human, there is a chance the curse may drive them to madness upon bestowing it's enhancements. If it does this process is permanent, and insanity suffered via this method remains even after the curse is passed on. As the mark requires a live host, beings of an undead nature cannot be resurrected unless very recently deceased. Undead beings would be compelled to pass on the mark to a living host before being consumed by it. This process destroys the soul.
While the mark does not grant one with enhanced strength, it does augment their perception abilities and eliminates hunger and fatigue. Allowing the afflicted to possess sight and hearing beyond the reach of regular humans, whilst still lesser than those of beings such as Vampires. The alteration to vision always results in mutation of the eyes, although each case is unique in this regard. Additionally, the afflicted can 'extend' the curse to a single inanimate object of their choosing. Granting it a supernatural presence. This allows the object to interact with objects of a paranormal nature. In the case of weapons, it enables them to effect supernatural beings which originate on earth (Anything that is, or once was human). Allowing Reeves to circumvent a necessity for silver. Although it should be noted that silver is still far more effective.
Jonathon most frequently uses this ability to augment his prosthetic limb, but will occasionally also do so with his revolver. Once an object has been chosen, the afflicted must wait an entire day before they can select a different object. If the object is removed from their being for longer than two hours, the effect is nullified, and they must wait until the cool down has expired.
It should be noted that if one bearing the Mark is suspended within a situation which would result in continuous death, they would remain unconscious and simulate a state of death until removed from such situation. (I.e. trapped within a body of water, buried alive, etc)
Weaponry - Jonathon favors the Colt Model 1861 Navy revolver, thus always keeps one within his waist holster at all times. There are also two small throwing daggers kept within the neck of each of his boots. When augmented, as it usually is, Jonathon's left arm can also be considered a weapon, as it is flexible enough to flawlessly mimic the movement of an actual arm, whilst also durable enough to survive direct hits from a sniper round without permanent damage. It's pointed fingers can easily be used to stab at others.
Knowledge base - Although Jonathon is aware of his immortality, enhancements and immunity to sickness, he remains unaware of the fact that the mark can be passed on, that it effects other beings differently, or of his weakness to Silver and other weapons of similar nature. His knowledge of supernaturals is limited via experience as he has only encountered Ghosts, Zombies, Witches, Windigos and Werewolves. Although he himself is still uncertain of the actual facts, Reeves has become fairly knowledgeable about the latter. Having uncovered, but not proven a great deal of information on them. That is except for information on moon-scarring, and the details of their reproduction. Which he is not even aware are possibilities.
Out of curiosity, if an individual was already effectively Abmortal - and subsequently immune to disease, could they still become moon-scarred? Or could they be immune to said toxins as well?
