Oh huh yeah. I got the impression of a halo spartan esque all around expertise guy rather than "take damage to benefit yourself and others" guy which is probably why I didn't recall the part about his armor being virtually indestructible.

To be fair, I said John's armor is the strongest known armor to man, that doesn't mean it's virtually indestructible, it might seem so, but it can still be broken.

His Skeleton on the other hand is virtually indestructible =)
