"
I'd... I'd love to dance," Hunter murmurs, hands going to her hips as they started to sway with the rhythm of the song. His hands are large enough that they span almost the entirety of her side and Clover shivers when they first make contact because they’re so incredibly
warm. There is nothing fancy about the way they dance together, just two people in an almost embrace rocking back and forth to a melody that was muted slightly by the door.
When the song draws to a close Hunter bundles her up until she’s pressed flush against his chest. "
Thank you. Thank you for making this trip worth coming," he whispers, breath ghosting across her ear as he clutches her even tighter. The redhead’s heart starts to beat just a little faster. "
It means a lot to me, it really does." Clover doesn’t say anything, instead tucking her head under his chin and giving the man a squeeze back. He seemed like he was going through a lot right now and she figures he just needed someone to hold onto for a moment.
Clover doesn’t mind at all. It was quite nice, actually.
Hunter seems to get nervous after a moment and pulls back, stuttering out, "
I... Uh... Sorry. I just..." The man stops, averting chestnut eyes before pressing on, "
I'm sorry. I've been... stressed recently. I didn't mean to make things awkward. I mean you're an amazing girl, one of the most amazing I've met. And I barely know you." Clover gives a surprised giggle at the unexpected praise, her fingers flexing and barely brushing over the fine hairs at the nape of his neck. "
Maybe we should get to know each other?" He asked shyly. "
Could be fun."
“
Hmmm…,” Clover hums, tapping a finger against her chin like she’s actually thinking about it. The dance had done it’s job, because the ginger is not nearly as nervous as she was when Hunter had first sat down next to her. “
I’m kidding. Yes Hunter, I’d love to get to know you,” she tells him with a grin and, before she has a chance to chicken out, she rocks up onto her toes and plants a quick peck on to his cheek. The action leaves a perfectly shaped kiss mark in bright red lipstick.
She leaves it. It looked cute.
“
So,” she starts, letting her hands fall away from him. “
You like swimming, right? Because I heard that they shut the other two pools down for the night to make sure they had enough staff for the party,” Clover informs, tucking a wayward lock of hair behind her ear.
“
...you wanna sneak in to one of them with me?”
