In-Depth Appearance |
Cash is about average size wise, standing 5’11” and weighing in at a trim 175 pounds. When he isn’t wearing his police uniform his fashion sense is quite questionable, as he has an uncomfortable affinity for old, grungy, worn out t-shirts and holey blue jeans. His voice is a slow baritone, syllables marked very distinctly by a southern drawl. Cash does not have any tattoos or piercings, but he does have a rather large and gnarled looking scar on his right thigh from being shot as a younger officer.

Scent |
Cash mostly smells like cigarettes, coffee, and pine scented aftershave.

Personality |
♦ Courageous ♦ Jealous ♦ Adaptable ♦ Impatient ♦
Cash has an adventurous spirit, thrives on action, and loves anything that gets his adrenaline up. This of course makes him a bit of a risk taker, which often gets him into sticky situations, but most of the time he can handle them on his own. It also means that he can get bored easily if he feels like he isn't doing something productive. In addition to this Cash can be a bit a sarcastic, with a no nonsense sort of attitude when it comes to people who are breaking the law. He has a soft spot for the little lost lambs of the world and will go out of his way to protect them, albeit gruffly.
He is very physically affectionate to those he cares about deeply and can get jealous over just about anything. Fortunately he knows this about himself and just grits his teeth and bears it whenever the green eyed monster decides to rear its ugly head. His years on the force have acclimated Cash to all sorts of violence and bad situations, so he is not easily grossed out or scared of things that might have the average person running for the hills. He does have an addictive personality though, which is why he does not drink at all. The last thing he needs is another vice to rely on.
He loves his canine partner Marlene and takes her with him almost everywhere.

History |
Bio: Cash was born to Emily and Forest Callaway, a pair of cattle ranchers living on the plains of central Texas. Growing up the young family never had a lot, but there was food on the table and the little boy always felt safe and loved. Cash adored farm life and all the things that came along with it like chasing chickens, catching frogs, or splashing about in the creek bed. But his favorite thing by far was when his father would take him out into the pasture for target practice.
Cash was far from a natural shot at first. It frustrated him to no end how no matter how steady his breathing or how carefully he peered down the barrel of the pistol, his aim was always comically off. The young boy worked at it day in and day out, but he never seemed to get any better. Then one day his dad brought out his old .22 bolt action rifle. “Let’s give this one a try, hm?” he hummed, carefully pressing the worn firearm into his grip. Cash planted his feet, took aim at the coffee can, exhaled, and pulled the trigger.
Bam!
Bull’s eye.
“That’s my boy,” Forest told him, giving his hair a quick tussle, “I knew you’d get it. You just needed something with a longer barrel. Helps make it feel more like an extension of your arm, or some shit like that. Now come on, little man, supper’s waitin’.”
From then on it was easy for Cash to adjust his aim accordingly when using a pistol and by the time he finished high school he can hit damn near anything he aims to, no matter what sort of firearm he happens to be using. He joins the police academy when he figures out a life in agriculture isn't for him and even though it’s grueling Cash takes to it like a duck to water. He graduates, aces the exams with flying colors, and becomes a fully fledged police officer right as he turns twenty.
He works in the small department without incident for four years before he’s shot through the right thigh on a routine drugs bust.
After a long year of physical therapy and having to retake all of the physical tests required to be an officer, they finally let him rejoin the force. He stays here for another year before his parents retire to Philadelphia and Cash is lucky enough to find an opening in the nearby town of Red Lake. He lives in a tiny house close to the police station and has currently worked at the department for about one year now.

Marlene | Canine Partner | (3)Marlene loves to chase a good stick. Also, she loves to chase bad guys. She is a mild mannered, friendly creature when not working and is rarely far from Cash’s side.
