I stared at her. "Uh, sure... but all I heard was 'figure something out' and that sounds good to me." I said with a smile as I shifted on the bed. "So, you go do all the hard work and I'll just wait here. Pour myself a bubble bath shall I?" I asked with a smirk as I lay back on the bed, trying to hold back a grimace.
"We need to find Luke, Penelope and Christy. We can trust them. They can help us and we can help them." I told her as I rubbed my shoulder.
Looking around the room once more, I noticed a few bag's lying about. Seeing as we didn't have any we would probably have to take some, we needed to carry our things somehow.
I followed Daisy into the cabin, glancing around the quiet room. Walking over to our beds, I lowered myself onto my bed gently, relieved to finally be sitting down. "I wonder where everyone is." I murmured so only Daisy could hear me. "There's not much to do at this place apart from eat, sleep and train."
I smiled in return. "Good." I said and looked ahead at our cabin.
"I wonder how many people are planning things like we are..." I mused aloud, wondering how many plans would be put into action, how many people would fail because they didn't know the truth. "How many are trustworthy? How many are Jaxlors?"
I looked at her for a moment before nodding. "Sure thing, how many do you want?" I asked, glancing down at her pocket that she had tapped. "How long does one usually last?" I wondered, who knew how long we were going to be out there for and how often she would need it.
I looked sideways at Daisy, ignoring what she had said about the cabin. "What do you want me to get for you? I'm sure it won't be any trouble. Another ice pack?" I asked thinking of her bruises, trying to figure out what she could want from the infirmary.
I thought for a moment. "Look, I'll go back later, I- Glenda wanted to see me again tonight so I'll take a bag and get some then." I told her, not wanting to admit that I needed to apologize to Glenda for what I had said to her the previous night. "I can go after dinner, then when I get back we can go get those maps."
I looked over at Daisy and smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, I'm fine. There was a loose root." I explained smoothly, reassuring her with a nod of my head.
"You know before we leave, I might have to get some pain killers off of Glenda." I said a few minutes later as we walked along. "Actually, there's an idea, we should pack some medical supplies, who knows what could happen out there and it's probably be better to have them."
I shrugged and immediately regretted it as pain throbbed through my body. "Dunno," I said concentrating on walking and not tripping over. "Anything could have happened, although, if something massive went down I'm sure we would know by now."
“True.” I said with a nod as I began to follow her back to the cabins. Glancing over my shoulder, I took one last look at the artillery shed and hoped with everything I had that we’d see it again tomorrow and leave it behind for good.
“I wonder what ended up happening after breakfast, if we’ve missed anything important…” I mused turning back to watch where I was going.
