"Ok Jon let me locate some sort of first aid kit, then we'll figure out how many walking wounded we have and how many need medical attention now. Hang tight Buddy we're going to get through this." Mike patted Jon on the shoulder as he stood up and headed back toward the wreckage. He honestly didn't know if they would make it or not but somehow just appearing confident and attempting to share that confidence would hopefully spread to others.

As he jogged towards the plane he saw a couple of the other guys walking around there, He went to them quickly and asked, "Have y'all seen a first aid kit anywhere? Jon is a med student and may be the closest thing we have to a doctor. We need to find the Kit and get some blankets and pillows as well as any bottled water inside so he can use it to flush the wound. We also need someone to check with the remaining survivors we need to sort out who had bumps, bruises scrapes, and call them walking wounded, they don't need attention right now. We also need to figure out which ones do need the attention now and try to get Jon to see to them ASAP. I've had training for mass casualty disasters like this so I cam start triageing the walking wounded from the injured if you guys want to take care of the other stuff for now. I think once we get the survivors sorted we need to get together and discuss sleeping arrangements and shelter for the night. I don't want to come across as pushy but we need to focus and take these things one step at a time."
I responded to you starcatcher, I'm hoping this story line doesn't die off It has some great potential.
Mike finished cleaning up the immediate area around the survivors and threw the bloody rags wrapped around his hands on to the pile of bodies he had made behind the plane. If worse came to worse they could drain some of the remaining jet fuel to dispose of the corpses. By this time he was so depressed and sickened to his stomach he couldn't deal with the macabre sight. Turning he began walking back towards the small survivor's area. It was made just as the beach sand gave way to trees of island. The trees were close enough together to offer some shade. As he reached the shade Jon called out to him "Hey, uh, Mike! I'm a medical student- haven't done much though."

Walking up to Jon and Yvette he replied, "You may be the closest thing to a Doc we have out here, but looking at the carnage there won't be many of us to take care of. I had some mass casualty training, and basic first aid, I know how to splint, stitch and CPR, but if you need a set of hands I don't get queasy or sick easy. I guess the first thing we should do is find a first aid kit."
..bump

"Ok Yvette take a big deep, and hold it for me, Jon lets link arms as we lift her it will create a cradle, we have to keep her stable until someone with some medical training can look at it. I pray we have a doc or nurse left alive."

Mike took a deep breath as he slid his hand under Yvette's leg and behind her back, after linking hands with Jon, He counted to three and they lifted her from the seat. Carefully they carried her slight frame into the shade of one of the trees, several survivors had begun gathering pillows and blankets to lay the injured on. They laid Yvette down on the blanket. Once she was lying comfortably Mike stood and surveyed the scene.

Aircraft pieces and debris laid across the beach head and some even floated in the water. There were bodies lying everywhere in grotesque, twisted positions. Overwhelmed by the sheer loss of life Mike's stomach twisted, out of roughly 300 there appeared to be less than 20 survivors.

After taking a deep breath and not knowing what else to do Mike took off his shirt and undershirt. He tore the undershirt into strips and wrapped one around his nose and then his hands. He then began the macabre task of picking up the body parts and deceased and moving them away from the survivors.

In the December of 2012, on the winter solstice, a date prophesied by the Mayans as the end of evolution, a date prophesied by Nostradamus as World’s End, man chose to evolve by the process of natural selection through self-extermination from nuclear fallout. The decade long War on Terror escalated to a series of short events between many warring nations that ravaged the known world on all sides in 24 short hours forcing man into an Exodus that would last 20 years for the chosen survivors, before they could return to the ruins of civilization and start a new era of man. The survivors are the lucky ones, the people that made it to fallout shelters, and those that somehow survived against all odds.

One of the side effects to the nuclear war was complete destruction of virtually every major city, these are now known as yellow zones due to the radiation still surrounding these areas. In the process of destruction it has wakened a long dormant primal instinct in Mother Nature. She has released magic once more into the world of mortals. Magic has only been released to the races that still kept their old ways such as the Native Americans. Because magic is still new there is a lot of fear and misconception. There is also a slight learning curve, so even though a person has magical abilities they will not be able to do perform great, magical deeds without practice which will definitely include some trial and error.
The story begins in the year 2042, vaults around the country are opening up and some people, born in the vaults are seeing the sky and sunlight for the first time. Vault 9271 is located in the Ohio River Valley 60 miles west of Pittsburgh in what was known as the Tri-State Area. The area was once known for their coal mining, as well as the fertile soil in the area. As the citizens leave their vault for the first time they are forced to decide whether to stay together and set aside their differences to begin building a town or to go their own way.

GM NOTES:
• Not everyone will have magic, if you have magic you will only be able to do minor things at first
• The game is set around the area of Ohio, PA, & West Virginia
• No God Modding
• There won’t be much in the way of technology or electronic due to massive EMP waves from nuclear blasts
• Weapons will have to be made or found there will be a minimal number of weapons in the Vault.
• This game is about politics & survival, not everyone is friends
• If you are from outside the vault you better have a good back story
• If you decide to travel near a "Yellow Zone" you will have some sickness and other problems

Magic User Notes
1. Magic will start very minor, for example healing or growing plants with a touch, creating water in a small area etc
2. Magic will grow as it's user grows and advances
3. Magic users will be shunned/disliked by people who do not understand/appreciate them for being different

Magic Spells will mostly fall under the plant or water domain to begin with, The sun domain completes the peak of the triangle and magic cycle.
I can work on a spell list if necessary because I don't want the magic users to strong to begin with.

Please use a little common sense with this RP if we work together we can make this story great.

Antagonists
Plot antagonists first will be nature itself, you will have to survive, create shelter, plant crops etc. because food is running out in the Vault.
There will be raiders from other vaults or just survivors who miraculous survived

Ok Sir I appreciate it. I am really enjoying the concept of this RP, if anyone wants to collaborate or work together feel free to PM me or come see me in IRC where I chill out most of the time.
Hey cook dumb question...

How big was the plane and how many passengers were aboard and how many will perish? I'm just curious so I can get an idea of the scene...
