It's ok, just remember if you are starting outside the Vault you have to give me a more in depth character background.
Looking forward to the update Napoleon

In the December of 2012, on the winter solstice, a date prophesied by the Mayans as the end of evolution, a date prophesied by Nostradamus as World’s End, man chose to evolve by the process of natural selection through self-extermination from nuclear fallout. The decade long War on Terror escalated to a series of short events between many warring nations that ravaged the known world on all sides in 24 short hours forcing man into an Exodus that would last 20 years for the chosen survivors, before they could return to the ruins of civilization and start a new era of man. The survivors are the lucky ones, the people that made it to fallout shelters, and those that somehow survived against all odds.

The story begins in the year 2032, vaults around the country are opening up and some people, born in the vaults are seeing the sky and sunlight for the first time. Vault 9271 is located in the Ohio River Valley 60 miles west of Pittsburgh in what was known as the Tri-State Area. The area was once known for their coal mining, as well as the fertile soil in the area. As the citizens leave their vault for the first time they are forced to decide whether to stay together and set aside their differences to begin building a town or to go their own way.

GM NOTES:

• The game is set around the area of Ohio, PA, & West Virginia
• No God Modding
• There won’t be much in the way of technology or electronic due to massive EMP waves from nuclear blasts
• Weapons will have to be made or found there will be a minimal number of weapons in the Vault.
• This game is about politics & survival, not everyone is friends
• If you are from outside the vault you better have a good back story
• If you decide to travel near a "Yellow Zone" you will have some sickness and other problems
• Your character will have no idea what is going on in the outside world
• When you leave the vault most people will leave to find their families, homes etc there will be less than 50 to begin a new civilization

Please use a little common sense with this RP if we work together we can make this story great.

Antagonists
Plot antagonists first will be nature itself, you will have to survive, create shelter, plant crops etc. because food is running out in the Vault.
There will also be raiders from other vaults or just survivors who miraculous survived.

Character Sheets

Keep in mind if you are coming from the vault you probably would have seen some of the other characters inside the vault. As CS's are posted I challenge you to look over them and PM other players and decide who will work together. I think having this hidden undercurrent will definitely make the RP more interesting.

If you are from outside the vault then send me a PM describing how you survived or grew up in the post nuclear world.

Name:
Age: (Choose carefully anything under 20 means you were born in the vault, 21 - 30 means you were 1 - 10 and may have only a few memories of life before the war)
Occupation: (if older 40 it could be doctor lawyer etc whatever you may have been before entering the vault. if you are under 40 you would have been a child entering the vault and would have been trained by those in the vaults and by reading books)
Personality:[i] (Are you a leader, town builder, or just a loner)[i]

Approved Characters

Occupation suggestions for CS's
The vault contains the following industries:
- Small Medical Clinic
- Dentist Office
- School
- Cafeteria
- Janitor Services
- Engineering Dept. (Responsible for maintaining the Vault)
- Security Dept. (Basically a few individuals who keep the peace)
- Eco Dept (Grows small crops In a room with Grow Lights)

*If you wish to add some other occupation I am fairly flexible as long as it makes sense.

OOC is here!

Made some updates and changes
Dirk finished replacing the pickups on a Les Paul, and checked his watch, it was almost 4 o clock. His best friend should be getting off of work soon too he thought. Dirk placed the guitar back in the hard case it laid on the counter, just as his boss walked in.

"Hey Dirk, got big plans tonight, it's your first Friday of 21," asked Caleb the owner and manager of the Guitar Shop.
"I do have plans, Caleb but I'm not going out. Think of it as an evening in" replied Dirk.
Caleb laughed "Well you have fun and take off early today think of it as a late birthday present."
"Thanks Boss, cya Monday."

Dirk walked out of the shop and hopped into his 2009 Ford pick up truck. He stopped on the way home and bought some yellow roses, and picked up a birthday present that he had ordered. He had it wrapped at a gift shop because he couldn't wrap a present nicely to save his life. With the flowers and gift, Dirk unlocked his apartment. It was a small one room apartment, nothing fancy; in the corner was a bookshelf with pictures and some of his books. On the bottom shelf were a few board games like Twister, Scrabble and Monopoly. Most of the pictures on his shelf were of his best friend, he had grown up with her and had always had a special place in his heart for her; but as they grew older her little corner of his heart grew until she had full control of it. He tried to ignore it and tried to fill it with other things even dated other girls off and on but it was no use. She filled his thoughts throughout the day, He felt incomplete when she wasn't around.

Mike Bannon stood on the bow of the Destroyer as it pulled slowly into port in good ole Norfolk, Virginia. The breeze was nice and it felt great out on deck. The sun was shining and it was a balmy 75 degrees outside. The bright sun reflected off of the white uniforms of the sailors as they rushed around deck preparing to enter their home port for the first time in nine months. Mike had already packed his sea bag and printed his plane itinerary, he was planning on flying back home to see his girlfriend. They had started dating her, his junior year of high school; she knew of course that he had wanted to join the Navy. She supported him through his deployments and time away, to use an old cliche she was his anchor. They'd been dating now nearly six years and Mike was ready to take their relationship a step further. They'd talked through emails and letters during the long deployments and had often talked of settling down in a small town and starting a family. Mike so sure that she was the one, that when his ship pulled into Bahrain he had a jeweler custom make an engagement ring for her. The ring had a heart shaped ruby in the middle surrounded by small emeralds around the outside. The gold wedding band when put together rimmed the right side of the heart with small diamonds. The ring was packed away in his bags along with a bottle of wine he bought in France when they had ported there for a few days. He pulled the picture of his girlfriend out of his pocket once more and glanced at it, she was wearing the red dress she wore when she visited last fall and they went to the Navy Ball together. That was right before he left for deployment, and one of the last times he saw her. Tucking the picture away he secretly hoped that she would meet him at the pier. He knew she probably wouldn't be there, with her work schedule, but there was still hope. Mike stood at his 50 cal gun mount watching the land and pier grow larger on the horizon. He could hear the communication between the bridge and other gunner's mates as they pulled slowly up to the pier. As the lines were cast from the ship, the sailors on the pier attached them to the bollards and the tug slowly backed away. Mike watched the crowd for a moment pressing against the iron bars of the gate, and waving at the sailors moving about on the deck. The crowd was dotted in red, white and blue balloons and lots of welcome home signs. Taking a deep breath, he did what he always did when the secure command came over his comms radio. He removed the ammo can from the 50 cal, and removed the weapon from the tripod. He carried the gun upright easily in one hand as he walked into the ship. Once his weapon was returned to the armory he ran to his berthing area and grabbed his sea bag. By the time he reached the deck, all of the new dads had already left the ship and the ship's enlisted crew were walking off slowly. He got in line and patiently waited to get down the stairs. As his foot touched the ground he excitedly began walking up the pier, hoping that she was there. His uniform waved loosely on his frame as he walked up the pier. He spent the majority of his time deployed in the gym working out since there was nothing else to do on the ship. He passed through the crowds slowly scanning hoping that maybe, just maybe she was here.
