WarCraft RP - The First War

Hello everyone!

So I am unaware as to how many of you are familiar with / are interested in the WarCraft story line so I thought I would throw this out there for consideration. I myself love the WarCraft story and I think Blizzard really gave us something unique. However I always thought how would parts of the story play out if other people were writing the script with their own ideas as to where to take the story. In this case, I was thinking of using the First War as our "first specimen."

This Google Doc contains the prelude from the WoWpedia page on the First War as well the lists of who was involved. At the bottom there is a brief description as to how the game would play but it's mostly just a rough guess as to how it come to fruition as I am hoping to refine those details with others.

This roleplay would probably be advanced since it does deal with a lot of lore and while I am all for creative use of both lore and non-lore characters, I still think it's important to maintain the mentality of both sides that was displayed in the actual story (i.e. the peacefulness and struggle of the humans & the blood lust and hunger for power of the orcs).

I too am hoping not to go insane like my "Worldbreaker" self. I was actually considering bringing over a roleplay idea I had that took place in the WarCraft universe (Outlands in particular). I have other deals as well, but I'm going to surf the forums for anything of interest before I bring my own stuff in - get a feel for how things run around here and all.

Hello everyone,

I am Neltharion. I've been role playing on both forums and video games for the past seven years and I've been looking for some place to settle down with my ideas and to engage in other people's creativity as well. I have a great affinity for medieval fantasy style role playing as well as writing. I myself am writing my own epic fantasy trilogy as I admire Tolkien and his works which have inspired me on this creative venture.

The kind of role playing I am into is predominantly military and political games, typically with fantasy involved, but doesn't have to be. Sci-Fi and Steampunk are also right up my alley.

I'm big on two lore-based games: WarCraft and HALO. I love both of these games and a lot of my role play concepts will generally have some kind of HALO or WarCraft influence (mostly small, sometimes large). I love the story-lines behind both of these games and I find them to be excellent pieces of art in that regard.

I've decided to keep my introduction brief. I hope to meet a lot of you and have a grand ole time. I'll be looking for role plays of either a fantasy, Sci-Fi, or steampunk genre with political or military (or both!) themes. If you want to discuss ideas for stories or role plays or games, w/e, I'm very open to discuss.
