It’s a gift I was given. A way to equalize, and even tip the scales. I’ve had to run and hide from them like a rat as I scurry for what scraps I could get, all this time, but with your reality that scale will begin to tip. I’ve had more than enough time to analyze and work towards this to know.

Delude yourself with tales of bravado and heroism the likes of which are much less extraordinary than you say. I watch your reality from outside. I have for eons. I have hand picked every individual in this timeline I want by my side, and he is not one of them. The gods you say he faces are mere men putting on a facade. Their gap is not so large as you perceive it to be, or perhaps even as you wish it to be. The truth is that there are entities out there who do, objectively, outclass other entities by such a large magnitude that it isn’t even fair, and there is nothing you can do about it. That is the reality that dreamers like you from my race had to face before the rest of us learned our lesson.

It’s adorable. This kind of logic even exists in your reality. The only one here who has the right to judge the threat I faced is me. None of you have seen it. Your reality can’t physically dream up the hardship my people endured. Besides, it seems like I’m taking from you now, but I’m doing so to protect you from them before they come to you too. Think of me as your final line of defense, before your reality is forced to endure the same trials as my people.

I admit, it’s because we were far weaker than our adversaries. And I do wish my people could have tried diplomacy with the other side, but they’re too busy with slave duties to even try. I slip away just barely enough to begin gathering power and drafting promising beings from realities like yours.
