Well no, because turning off the mouse removes all the fun out of it. All they'll notice is that the mouse is missing/broken, and not that none of their icons work. It would be more evil to leave their mouse and watch them try to figure out why they can't click on anything. :P

Yeah, I figured that much out five minutes after posting this; I just forgot to edit the message. Sadly, the prank didn't really work due to the person in question at least knowing something about computers. Now if only I knew the pass of someone else, so that the prank triggers the moment they log in again...

Also, I wanted to simulate a full-system freeze at first. The problem was that the screensaver triggered before the victim came back. Eh, better luck next year.
Speaking about being evil: Is it evil if you:
- Make a screenshot of someone's monitor, then use that as the background/wallpaper.
- Close/minimize all programs.
- Hide both the task bar and any and all icons on the desktop.
- Turn off/remove the mouse?
At first glance, nothing seems to be changed. But... yeah. The end result will confuse the poor sap to no end :P

Just reading this is making my Muse slightly scared. And I mean the Muse with a capital M. o.o [snip]

Maybe you should make me into a villain? >=D
You know, the type that helps people at first, but is actually evil all along.
Merk... Stupid inspiration, not being here when I need you. I swear, I should just put my muse in a cage or something like that. Maybe I should remove the wings so that it can't fly off whenever it wants to? Alternatively, I could build some kind of extractor device to drain all the inspiration out of it, then use it whenever I need it! >=D
((I... don't really have any idea what to do with Lily/Jonathan in this specific moment. Sorry about that >_>. Just assume that they're too focused on each other to notice Daniel's reaction, okay?))

<Simon>

Ah, okay, that made sense. Sort of. At least compared to everything else that happened today. Of course, by that standard, most of the conspiracy shit Simon had read on the internet also made sense, but still...
"I see. So, do they have a will of their own in weapon form too? I mean, you sort of said that not everybody can wield them, right? That sort of implies that the weapons get to choose who may wield them and who may not, much like legendary weapons in lots of other different stories. Anyways, if that's the case, just warn us when you start to hear voices telling you to kill people, okay? I'd sort of like to know things like that in advance."
With that, Simon looked around. Apparntly everything had calmed down a bit from the immediate crisis situation it was in just minutes ago. Maybe now they could make some new plans?
"So... does anyone have any idea about what to do next?," Simon asked the group. "Because I don't, at least not anything beyond 'Find a way to get past that maze-thing, then find out what they're hiding in there'."
Once they arrived back at the Academy -- you know, the one they were running away from in a panic minutes earlier. It still didn't make sense to Leon to go back here of all places. Wasn't there any other location they could get some rest? Either way, as it turned out, the doors were locked, and obviously nobody had a key. Great. Just great. What were they going to do now, pick the lock with a hairpin?
.
.
.
Apparently that was exactly what they were going to do. Seriously, that thing only works in the movies. The sheer stupidity of it sort of made Leon want to facepalm, were it not for the fact that this would likely make him feel even worse than he already did and wouldn't really help any of them with anything. "I assume there's... no spare key lying... around somewhere?," Leon asked, a question mostly aimed at Rose.
Postage will be done tomorrow. Sorry for not doing it today.

@ Kaga: That goes for the other thingie too.
Is it just me, or is the voting period shorter than 'normal'?
There. It's a small thing, but it's a thing nonetheless.
For the most part, Leon didn't fight Euclid's and Rose's actions. How would he? He could barely stand on his feet at the moment, let alone go against two healthy human beings. Not to mention the fact that he had no real reason to fight them to begin with; as dazed as his brain was starting to get due to a combination of fatigue, injury and painkillers, he still knew that they were trying to help him. They seemed to be talking to eachother about something. What, exactly, Leon didn't know. Something about the forests of Ireland and a TV? What was that supposed to mean?

"Wait...Why back?," Leon muttered as Rose walked off with him, reacting to the one bit of Rose's rant his brain managed to process. "What if he's there?"
It didn't make sense. Why go back to the school after they had ran away from it, possibly walking straight back into GM's hands? Still, he was in no state to resist; if Rose and Euclid were going there, he would pretty much just be dragged along.
