Bio

Soooo, basically I've been role playing for... fifteen years? I've been writing longer than that though... more along the lines of thirteen years. I'm 30, have a kiddo, and am happily married. So, I'm probably older than the majority of you on here but I love to write... I'm odd. I love to set and create ideas in my head but I don't really like to GM... I'm more of a throw everyone together and see what happens sort. Also, because I do have a kiddo my schedule is a little unpredictable. I can't promise much though I try to post at least once a day.

I enjoy high fantasy, mystery, drama, and romance BUT I don't do smutty play. I prefer to fade to black when things get steamy... Partly because I'm happily married and partly because I don't want the main focus in my plays to be smutt. I have several characters I adore and can't quite lead myself to give up on... I love expanding and evolving their stories so feel free to ask me about them and some of my roleplay ideas.... I have many.

Basically the idea of this roleplay is that demons, angels, and humans are involved in a struggle that the humans are pretty much oblivious to... except the ones who aren't. My character, the Gate Keeper, is gathering Sensitives that show promise in order to help him maintain the balance in the world so that Judgement Day doesn't happen early. If you've ever seen Constantine, City of Bones, or Supernatural... it's like a mash-up of those. Your character can be a sensitive or a sensitive's demon, fallen, or angelic companion... you can play both your character and your companion if you'd like. I'll be playing a Sensitive as well as the Gate Keeper since the Gate Keeper won't be as active as the rest of you and it will be my way of GMing without actually GMing. This is going to be one of those plays that hopefully EVERYONE will have a hand in driving, and can take off on their own side stories or throw in their own plot twists... That way none of us ever know for sure what is going to happen. :)

As far as requirements go? I'd like people who can write at LEAST 10 sentences (though more is fantastic so long as you have something to say and aren't just describing the texture of each blade of grass) and can post at least once a day so that we don't have people waiting for days tied up with your character. If you can't post for a while and know it then just stick your character some place out of the way and let us know. If you want to drop out at any point PLEASE let me know so I can clear you off the game in an orderly fashion (usually by killing you off) and usher someone else in if they want to join. I won't take it hard, it's your prerogative and I don't want players around if they aren't having fun. :) If you don't let me know something I'll only give you a week to come back before I kill you off. ^_^

I got this question before but yes, angels and demons CAN have been human in their lifetimes but don't have to have been since angels were also created as were demons and the longer they live the more they forget their human lives.... Fallen have to originally have been angels and never have been human. Angels who were human and fall are forced to be reborn with no memory of anything before so they can be judged again upon their deaths.
I'm going to see about starting the OOC. If you guys want you can post your CS there.
Its explained in the example cs. :)

@Rage Lonethorn - Basically, it's not so black and white that all angels are good and all demons are bad. Gabriel (in the movie Constantine) was basically trying to raise the devil's son to inspire men to greatness by facing great darkness... to him that was 'good'. He was serving his purpose and gaining souls for his side by inspiring them to overcome something considered dark and evil. Angels are typically viewed as good because their job is to win souls for Heaven but they can go about it in many different ways... Not all of them good in the typical sense. Angels go bad, demons can rise to goodness... it just takes the right inspiration. Also, Angels aren't just floating balls of good will in the form of people or mystical beings... they are soldiers, they are weapons, they kill. They're expected to mass murder cities on an order (Sodom and Gomorrah), innocents and sinners alike(death of all first born sons in egypt) and then the next day pat people on the heads and say, "Sorry about that, but orders are orders, lets get to saving your souls shall we?" An angel's concept of goodness is determined by their goals and by their orders.

If you're asking what would happen to an angel cast out, they become fallen and if they choose to go even darker after that they become demons.

@Stephan Heya! Nice to see you around... Maybe you'd like to throw in some ideas here?
Yay! In the meantime, here are mine.

Actually, I think that's a good idea. I'll ask everyone to use human pictures and you can do whatever you'd like to the way your angel / demon actually looks underneath the disguise. I only ask the wings stay wings as the feather loss is hard to change for the fallen. I'll edit.
Well, as I said... I'm more than open to ideas. :) Throw some out there and we'll see what others think once I have a few more people... ^_^ This is more of a play where I'm hoping to have a lot of ideas and not just mine.

I had, a long while ago, a friend who viewed angel wings less like wings and more like outward manifestations of their energy that people a long time ago mistook for wings... They're more like tendrils of light that they were able to manipulate, but that would throw the fallen off which is why I didn't use it even though I wanted to. Also, the Archangels weren't pretty... They had fangs and glowing eyes and hid the way they really looked behind a white-fire like light. He was a fun guy to play with.

Oh, and I'll be putting up my CS soon so that you two can if you'd like...
Thanks, and I hope so too. It's a lot of info to take in though for most people. :/
