Valerie looked up as she was addressed to see the extravagant form of Angel Heart Spirit. It's not that she had a problem with the seemingly-permanently transformed teacher, but she had never quite puzzled out how to properly address her given the school's policy regarding so-called "Civilian Names" and "Magical Girl Names" with her own preference for addressing authority figures by their last names only adding to the confusion. With this uncertainty in the back of her mind, she fell back on her preferred tactic of saying the bare minimum to maintain the conversation, or, hopefully, escape it.
"Pleasant, ma'am," Valerie said with a quick bow, "Did you need me for something?"
@Red Alice
A point of curiosity.

Protagonist Points are refreshed as the powers-that-be decide we've RP'd it up enough. Does that mean a starting amount of 2 is the cap and I'd have to burn one before events could allow me to gain another, or is it just a stockpile? Like, could I bide my time, earning points over the course of the RP, and suddenly unleash a storm of dramatic victories when my chance presents itself?
Valerie checked her watch again as she walked along her usual route from her dorm room to the main entrance. She didn't think she was late, that had only happened a few times back when she'd first started attending and didn't quite know the school's layout, but she enjoyed the quiet ticking and minute movements of the watch's hands as they measured out the passing of time. A few more steps, another check. This time, she thumbed absentmindedly through her bag to reassure herself that her books hadn't somehow vanished.
"First days are always so boring. Same routine as every other day, just a lot more introductions and virtually no learning." she thought with a sigh.
Eyes split between her watch and the ground, she scarcely noticed as she neared the entrance.
"Then there's the reviews," she groaned mentally, "so much of the first third or so of the year is reviewing last year. What's the point of school if we only ever cover things we already know?"
Another look at her watch. She was early, no surprise considering her proximity to the main building and relatively early departure. This was completely fine; she just hoped that the library was open already. She had been using the comparatively modest library in town over the summer and had managed to forget exactly when the school's opened to the students.
I also endorse roommates.
I suddenly feel rather under-powered with my little evil organization. Here's a bunch of normal humans, plus a few special cases, versus literal gods, nerfed or otherwise. I suppose it appeals to Max's megalomania to beat gods, but damned if I can figure out a way as things stand.

I'm not complaining, mind. Max can hardly claim to be an Evil Genius if he can't puzzle out a way around petty things like invulnerability.

@Red Alice I don't feel it's likely that anyone else would be using my chosen faction, but I'm throwing out my claim for the sake of the record.

A massive crossover war, messy? Perish the thought!
I'm very interested. That said, to call my submission a "hero" is highly reliant on adopting his point of view. Also, this is arguably more about his faction than the man himself. Just shooting him is easy, he doesn't have any powers or whatever; getting close enough to make that shot is the challenge.

If I wasn't interested, I wouldn't have replied. I'm very curious to see where this goes.
