An old man sometimes shows himself to the intrepid wanderers and those oftentimes considered lucky travellers of the poison lands. His name is known to very few, if any at all still remember it; instead he simply goes by an uncomplicated moniker such as 'The Hermit' or 'The Old Wanderer'. But it is an undoubted and unanimous understanding between all those he makes company with that he is not a man to be trifled with. Whether this is derived from the kindness he shows to his fellow lost souls, or from some other, more esoteric phenomena is unknown. His eyes are incredibly alive for a man of his age - he hobbles instead of walking - which some infer as the clarity of his mind after what one can only assume is a lifetime of being caged in a land such as this.
@bobert778Yeah, that about sums it up! I think there are a few inactives from before you joined. If they haven't been mentioned here just assume they are, at least for the moment, not around. (Unless I missed anybody, sorry!)

But i'm glad to be of help, I realise it can be a little more daunting joining a RP than being there from the start, so if you have any queries feel free to ask :)
@bobert778I don't control who finds who, but because the geology is left intentionally ambiguous, people generally find themselves in locations close to others. You can stumble upon either group as you see fit.

I'll add that Churro's character, the Prince of Lies is also going to be a part of the Turncloak, Jester, Sarah, and Maldron group. Goodmorrowtou's character is currently alone, as is Perfect, but the latter is heading towards the Turncloak group.

Oblivion Songstress is currently within the forest that aforementioned group is heading towards. There are certainly more people involved in that particular arc, but you can choose to find yourself in either at your leisure.
@Ink BloodMuch appreciated. I assume Ashgan will be 'discovering' you guys soonish ;)

@All involved in Turncloak arc, Churro and I are collaborating the next post in this sequence; we'll be encountering the Prince of Lies, so stand by for that some time soon.
It's an open idea, you can take it if you want.

The article in question is here: http://imgur.com/gallery/rNPff
I intended them to wake within the confines of the cemetery somewhere. But that, I suppose, is up to Ren, Beowulf and Ink. @Ashgan I would write your next post assuming this were the case.

@Ink BloodCould you, for the sake of Ashgan, add a small point into the collab post about waking within the cemetery? Would be best to avoid confusion.
@bobert778And we are glad you joined us :)

This is a mirror into perhaps another world, to another time and place; one beyond the poison realm of the Land Betwixt. It is a beautiful locket that has manifested from some unknown force, contained within is a portrait of something that John cannot share, something that he keeps to himself, something he keeps personal. It s a perfect likeness of something beautiful, and gazing upon it gives immeasurable strength to the man who perhaps was a disappointment to those left in his life. The rim of the heart-shaped pendant is engraved with a few words, most of which are worn away or scratched off; only two are still legible: ‘Dearest John’.

Whilst the painterly child has this locket resting at his heart, the ravages of the world will not touch him, hunger and thirst give way to the power contained within, but to him, and him alone.
If John were to sacrifice the memory, then perhaps the sickened world he now finds himself in would, for a time, perhaps mirror that of the world John was born into, and maybe it would harbour fruits and game and running water; a small space of a land without hope would become an oasis, a beacon in the darkest of nights… just like the subject of The Portrait so dear to John.
Naturally! It's just a little idea I keep coming back to now and again after reading an article on, like... a different interpretation of Star Wars. Lame, I know, but it discusses what the whole war would have been like from the perspectives of basic grunts, and the real effect it would have had on those who do the fighting; rather than focusing on the heroes and the great leaders involved.

That was my basic idea, past that, who knows?
Still incredibly and rightly impressed with, like, everybody.

Damn son.
