Oka Saori
Age: 17
Year: Third
Personality: "You can't fool me. I've
seen Shark Tale."
She's known around the school for not only being a part of the concerts and plays, but also having a good sense of humor. She isn't very serious at all when she's in school, instead opting to be more relaxed. One of her favorite things to do has been to make friends with the first years. Sometimes she would give them advice, other times act as a role model. For her, it's just fun to do.
Inside of school she spends most of her time cracking jokes and has built a sort of carefree attitude. Even when there are huge tests or projects, she is never seen stressing out about it. In fact, she doesn't really crack under pressure. It's just that sometimes she doesn't meet her own expectations, which are unreasonably high. This has never made her change who she is.
Background: Saori was born to a Korean mother and a Japanese father. Her mother is a musician, and her father is one as well. The influence she got from both of her parents made her want to become a musician, and it would be a part of her dream job. Even though her parents were mostly musicians, her mother did a bit of acting. One day, Saori was chosen to be part of a play. She was nervous at first, but once she was up on the stage everything came naturally to her. She liked having an audience and acting. After that, she was a part of the theater clubs for her schools for many years. She started thinking about doing a musical during her last year of junior high, and followed through that same year.
It was the best of both worlds for her: she got to sing and act at the same time. Soon after, she studied Hollywood and learned about Broadway and made her decision that she would balance both singing and acting. It proved to be one of the best decisions for her, as her last two years in high school have been the best years of her life.
In her second year of high school, her father passed away. While grieving his death, she still managed to be in most of the school's events. It was the hardest year she's had to go through, but she is hoping to bounce back from it and make this a better year.
