Also, to tack on to what has already been said. Not everybody RPs via the threads, a lot of people use the PM system on-site, or may host Int Checks/Lore and character databases here in a thread on-site, but the actual RP takes place via another platform like Google Docs or Discord if that's easier/more convenient for them on the go

I'm active here at least 3 times a day, sometimes more depending on my partners' activity due to work/life stuff, but since all of my RPs atm are in PM, it doesn't show as a part of my "post count", but I am still posting just as much as I was when I first joined 4 years ago my God I'm getting old help me

Sharing Stories - Content Warning?

Hey everyone ♥

I wanted to make a thread where folks could come to share stories of their favorite scenes/sessions or encounters in roleplay. Whether it was something funny, something sad, emotional, passionate, or horrific.

Needless to say, maybe a content warning for this thread.

Why so many 18+ marked roleplayings?

Just my two cents, as most others have already covered in the comments above mine, but...

18+ doesn't necessarily mean smut and erotica.
It means it has potential for it, given that the characters are all adults.
But it can also mean horrible violence and gore that people may not want minors involved in or exposed to.

For example, I might make a sadistic demon type of character who corrupts and possesses, and chooses to wear someone's ribcage as a hat -- I don't really want to be inspiring the next Columbine shooter by exposing a minor to violent ideas.

Also, some of my RPs have really dark themes -- no one is safe, not even women and children, in my roleplaying. Not a lot of folks under 18 comprehend that, and therefore, I generally keep my roleplays 18+.

Unseelie Fey Court - Sidhe RP - Wrath of Thorns

Hi there everyone! My name is Rach, and I'm recruiting for a high fantasy roleplay, called Wrath of Thorns. As you can tell by the title, this roleplay is based on the Fey folk, the Seelie and Unseelie courts and all manner of fey in between.

It is a group roleplay that takes place on Discord, and does have a bit of lore and plot going on. We've been active for about a month now, and have a good group of people involved, but are always open to more people joining our happy crew.

It is an 18+ roleplay due to the dark themes, violence, and sometimes adult nature/sensual themes of the roleplay.
