Bishop threw the magazine atop the pile on the courtesy table next to him. He had been waiting for hours for this mysterious Tony Stark and his patience was wearing thin. He had waited several months to get to this moment and now he was being kept waiting by the elusive playboy for “personal matters”, as the staff behind the desk kept informing him. He had finally considered storming past security and physically searching the rooms of the hotel, when a relatively short, bearded man stepped into the lobby, his eyes scanning the lobby before finally fixing on Bishop. The man stepped towards him with a slight swagger. Bishop stood up; his hulking 6’3” form standing almost a head over the approaching figure, eying him carefully.

”Tony Stark, although you might already know that.”

Tony extended his hand in a friendly gesture, adding swiftly,

”I don’t make a habit of answering all calls to meet me, and I’m rather busy, saving the world and such, so I imagine we make this quick…or at least direct?”

Bishop took the man’s offered hand, his shovel-like hand squeezing Tony’s hand tightly, holding him in place so he could hear what he had to say.

“Yes, I know who you are, Tony Stark. I also know what you are about to do, “save the world” as you put it. I know that you’re about to attempt a rescue of Nick Fury with several other heroes very soon. I also know that you will fail. I know this, because I come from a time in the future where mutants are herded into camps and branded with this mark.”

Bishop raised his free hand to point to the large M tattooed across his right eye, directing Tony to the branded M covering it.

“You fail, you, Fury and the others get executed and the Sentinel program goes national, leading to the subjugation of mutants all across the country. I've traveled back to try and prevent this from occurring. Is this direct enough for you?”

Bishop let his hand and drop, waiting for Tony's reaction. Bishop hoped that the fact he knew of Stark’s plans may lead him to believe his story. However, there was also every other reason for him to think that Bishop was simply a walk-in loon or an agent for the other side. Bishop almost smiled to himself, he’d been so preoccupied in getting to this moment that he hadn't really thought about what would happen after or even if he could really get Stark to believe him. He’d just have to hope. That was all he left.

Sounds awesome, and you have my interest. I might play a nat hero, but idk. I'd also appreciate if this was a casual roleplay, as that is my favorite subsection. Nonetheless, if it is advanced I will still attend. Sounds like an amazing roleplay.

I originally started it as a Adv RP but have changed it to a Casual/Adv for 2 reasons:

1) It will hopefully attract more people, having a wider range of acceptable standards for posts.

2) Glancing back through the books, I realized that the motif of nearly all of the books follows a variety different lengths of entries from various authors. Some could be over 20-30 pages in length before the next cut of a different POV, some merely 2-3 pages. That's because not all characters in this world are created equal. Some may only get a few posts of story from their characters, and I'm OK with that. Hence why I've given people the option to play as 2 characters.

I may also add the option that if a player wishes to "retire" a character after all possible arcs have been followed, then they may write them out and begin a new character (or focus on another if they have 2 for a "probation" period)

While I have said it is a "Casual", that's more in relation to quantity, but not quality. Even if only 1-2 paragraphs, I'll be looking at structure and reasoning behind posts.

As for your Nat Hero, by all means, but one thing that I'll be looking at in CS posts (not just you, of course) is "does this make sense"? You'd be playing a Nat Hero in a world with superhumans, both good and bad, so it "makes sense" that, no matter how brave/strong/intelligent your character is, he/she is probably going to avoid them as much as possible to avoid getting their arse handed to them. /PSA-rant

I don't know anything of the DSII lore either- I'm waiting for the PC release...

or the "real" version as many call it :P there are very few games I would buy twice (one for console, one for PC). DS and DSII are 2 of those games.
Finally! Other people!

You have my interest, and you covered a majority of my questions. I hope more folks will toss this a gander.

Good to know. I started writing the Int Cha few weeks ago and just kept adding to it. Nearly all of what you see above will be in the IC.

I've already acknowledged you in the last IC post, currently Tony/Bishop are in their own IC bubble, once we wrap up that scene, you'll be put into/choose a team

Holy crap, how did I miss that?? Apologises, I'll get on with a response right away!
Will I just be joining any random mission or is anyone going to acknowledge the strange, large black guy in the lobby who claims to have knowledge of the future?

Anyone.........?
I'll have my Taskmaster post done this week, tho I don't think I should be posting twice in a row

Yea I think I'm going to object to lore from Dark Souls 2 being in Dark Souls, as the two are spaced apart several hundreds years in terms of storyline

The Bell Keepers are supposedly based on the previous events in Dark Souls, in that they defend the Bells of Awakening in PvP style. But if you object, then alright, I'll drop it. I just wanted access to the Hidden Weapon spell and it seems that it is in the original anyway.

I find it odd though that you "object" to DSII lore here when the OP/GM opened the intro with a line from DSII. But maybe that's just a coincidence. Also, I'd like to know how you know that the "storylines" (what little there is unless one actually digs for it) of the 2 games (both of which I own and have played through) are spaced by hundreds of years since the game make no specific reference to the timeline and the games themselves make a point of telling you that the flow of time is completely distorted so that heroes appear
Bump for an updated Int Ch.
