It appears everyone is dead, or taking exams. Either one is pretty much a terrifying fate.
"Yeah, haven't been feeling it." Hex said, shrugging. "But I'm glad you found your friends." Connor arrived at the top of the waterfall, and a camp was laid out before them. Several tents were partially submerged underwater, and various gear and equipment was inside them. It seemed to be pretty well hidden, if they had somehow been able to hide from Zane for so long. The camp was very well organized. She was surprised that it was all put together by pokemon with fins.

Hex watched as the Josh reacquainted himself with all of the pokemon around him. Most of them seemed to know each other very well, and at the very least had to have known each other. But still, Josh seemed to be looking for one pokemon who must've been absent from this camp. Must've had someone missing, maybe. All and all, the water types seemed to be holding out well in that little camp above the waterfall. Then Josh met Brace, and they began bickering.

Hex was very used to bickering. It happened quite a lot around her hive. Two Combees arguing over a bit of honey, or some brutish Beedrill showing off their muscles(?) to each other. Josh and Brace seemed to genuinely hate each other. Brace was going hard on Josh about not showing up to assist the water types in setting up the camp and helping them, while Josh didn't want Brace on his back. "You guys, try not to kill each other. We just came here! c'mon." Hex said, rolling her eyes.
Connor's knees nearly buckled. "Ugh. I really need a power nap right about now." Connor muttered, beginning to curl up on the stone floor. It was the first rest he had since the beginning of this whole "apocalypse" thing. He began to sleep like a rock. He could feel his stone joints cracking and groaning, and his hollow head hit the stone floor with a loud thud, rock against rock. Guess this is my life, now. He thought, his mind drifting into a haze.

Connor's sleeping mind began to recount all of the events that had happened since the apocalypse was announced. The first thing that he begun to do was stockpile food and water. Just in case he survived this whole thing. That was, until he learned it was a meteor that was going to cause it. A massive meteor, that would decimate the Earth like a man stomping on an ant. Not much a chance of surviving that. He went into some extreme depression. He almost quit right then and there.

After that came a lot of raiding. There was a lot of turmoil going around about the apocalypse. He began breaking into houses, smashing up some shops. After all, what would the repercussions be? A couple year in prison? They were all going to end up dead in a couple of days, anyway. It went on like that for a while, until the last night. The entire city seemed to be just waiting for the inevitable. Finally, the final hour had arrived. Connor was just waiting for his final moments.

And then the great flash of white filled the air, and Connor was knocked out. He came to in a couple of hours, as a giant rock beast. And he begun his journey there. He had a couple of things to take care of before he went home. The man still in the city, the business man who had raked him into all of this. He was going to have to take care of him. Then he could finally leave this accursed city and find his way back home. Connor looked like a massive boulder in his sleep. One might not even see him as a golem unless they looked very closely.
Gonna try to get a post up soon. Been doin a buncha stuff recently, and havin a hard time getting back into roleplaying, so I'll try to make a post up once I have a chance.
Connor clambered into the cave, the sound of stone on stone dully echoing through the cave, until Val decided on the perfect placement of the beam. He assisted in placing it there, laying it into the ground steadily to ensure that it wouldn't shake or turn. Once it had been set into place correctly, Connor decided that maybe he should get some sleep himself. He had done a lot of things today that he really needed to get outside of his system. Very badly.

As the group began to settle in, lying on the grass outside of the cave, Connor simply lay flat on the ground, staring into the sky. He had calmed himself now. The adrenaline had stomped pumping, and he no longer felt energized and ready, all of the day's troubles were finally beginning to catch up with the golem. You've killed over 10 sentient, living, breathing people. He thought. You've murdered 10 people in cold blood." He shook his head, the stone clattering against earth.

What happened? Connor rolled over onto his side. When did it start happening? Connor still had the memories of after the apocalypse was announced, crystal clear in his mind. A lot of people crying. Some people lying the streets, drunk, mostly. He remembered breaking into various buildings. He remembered holding a gun to someone. A lot of people seemed to be underestimating what was happening. They thought it was all going to blow over.

Hearing Connor, he glanced over to the strange, draconic Phoenix creature. "Hrmph." He grunted, staring over at him. "What do you want? I could still do some things. I'm not all knocked out quite yet." That wasn't quite the truth. He could would probably fall asleep like a rock ( which he was ) if he were to lay down again. But this place could definitely use some fortification. He didn't want to get invaded while he was sleeping or something.
Hex unwaveringly followed the group up the mountainside, lost in thought, ignoring Terra's question. She payed no attention to any of the hazards that stood before here, and the rest of the team took them out quickly. She was in deep thought, and only sometimes making some basic reactions and following the group. She aided them sometimes, maybe with a slight gust, but it rarely did anything to the attacker. It would just slide off. She had a bit of a hard time finding herself here.

For once, Hex didn't really feel all that up to something, which she found strange. Before, when she had first joined the guild, she had been rearing up for a challenge, ready to face anything and hoping for some big monster pokemon to capture and bring in to justice. But right now, she was hoping to maybe get a chance to head to head back to the hive, kick back, and eat some honey. Hopefully this mission was just the one to kick start her excitement and hopefulness.

Really, Hex was just feeling a bit homesick herself, and didn't really feel all up to many of the challenges. She had barely gotten through anything, too! She felt pretty sluggish, not feeling the energy to continue on, but she had to. It seemed really important for Josh to do.. whatever, so she had to at the very least try. But for the most part, she had pretty much been a zombie, just blindly following the group around, bogging them down. Maybe she'd think about coming home. Maybe..

Hex was snapped out of her deep thought train by the realization that Josh had met up with some pokemon. Two water types were hanging about the top of the water fall, staring down at the team. Josh briefly talked to them, before beginning his fly up, aided by Matt. Hex shook her head, trying to get the thoughts out of her head. "Yeah, I could really use a camp right about now." She commented, fluttering upward and trying to avoid the thick mist of the waterfall.
Yup, I'm working on a post, but I'm not too sure how to jump right back in.
Inside the cave, Connor held a massive, stoneclad fist over his eyes, sitting crouched down on the floor. How could he have let it happen? Lost in thought, he almost didn't hear Ralph. "Alright, let's go ahead and do this." He said, rolling his stone shoulders back, standing up. "Let's go." He lumbered over to the two, who appeared to be struggling with the massive tree. Val had conjured up some sort of massive, shadowy hands to carry it, and Tony was struggling to grip it with his talons. They seemed to be just barely handling it.

"Move aside, kiddies. I got this." Connor stomped over to one side of the tree, and wrapped two tough hands around it. He took a deep breath, and as he began his attempt to raise it, his stone joints audibly groaned. He took another deep breath, and began to raise it. He visibly struggled under the tree. "I'm not to good with long structures." He took another deep breath, and raised it more, his long arms wrapping around the trunk and holding it by his shoulder.

He began the long walk back, helping Val and Tony with the trunk. "Think ya might've bitten off more than you can chew here." He said, trying to keep his usually iron knees from buckling and collapsing. "But this should work as a good support beam, assuming we can actually manage to hold this in place or even get it to stand up properly." Connor sighed, feeling his arm straining under all the weight. It seemed they were actually alone for once, which was pretty relieving.

"So, what's our next move after this?" Connor stared among them. Most of them seemed to be pretty bruised up. Val's nose was actually bleeding. "I'm going to assume either furnish up the cave or take a nice, long nap.
So, I have returned from my 5,000,000,000 day long slumber and feeding in Valhalla. Anything major I missed in either here, or Dragon's Awakening?
Yep. I can try to get a post up soon, though. Been packing for a trip to California, so I'll probably be inactive for quite a bit, so if I don't post, you can continue on without me.
