Hex watched in unease as Ray slowly rolled the boulder out of the way, revealing the cave. It wasn't quite as light as she had imagined it out to be. It was like a giant gaping maw in there, and even looking in from the entrance it seemed almost pitch black. It was like the cave was protected by a wall of darkness from the outside. Hex took a deep breath, waiting for everyone to head into the cave. Hopefully Blaze could light it up for them, or they'd be trapped in the darkness.

Hex ventured in alongside the rest of the team, squinting. Matt and Anthony's both seemed to just barely shine, but it was only the outside sun reflecting off of their amorphous bodies. She heard the sound of rock against rock, and suddenly the boulder rolled over the entrance of the cave, trapping the team in. Now it was just them and the darkness. It was completely silent for a moment, and it seemed that they were all alone in the cave. Ralph began, "Where are all the-"

Hex heard a rumbling, and felt a set of dull teeth enclosing around her. She quickly gusted, and heard the pokemon hit the cave wall before the sound of digging filled her ears again. Hex looked around, completely blind to the pokemon attacking. "You had to open your mouth." She said, trying to get a foothold. Hex heard the sound of digging stopping, and felt a sudden rush of air. She gusted in front of her, and heard the pokemon abruptly hit the wall with a growl.

Hex tried to calm herself down. It would be fine, if Blaze could just get that light up. For the third time, she heard the digging stop, and preparing herself for an attack, she looked around. This only made her realize she still couldn't see. She felt a hard headbutt rather than a bite, and it was her turn to get knocked into the wall. She felt a presence looming over, and she could barely see the silhouette of something hanging right over her, it's head hung low.

Hex barely had time to register what was happening before she felt a strong sharpness in her mouth, and almost out of instinct, lunged forward to bite whatever was there. She felt a hard shell in her mouth. The pokemon squealed before digging into the dirt again. "Huh." She said, gnashing her teeth. "That's new."
Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it.
"It's nothing!" He snarled at Ralph. "I'm fine!"

Connor glowered at the aqueous wolf, clenching his fists of granite. His insides churned like a cement mixer, feeling an odd mix of intense rage and pure terror. Connor's golem core roared at him to get back and crush the wolf between his hands until it spat it's innards out of it's mouth. His smarter, feebler human mind told him that he would probably crack like an eggshell once the wolf seeped it's water into him. He was torn. The wolf had cut a tree in half. Could it cut a rock?

Connor watched as his allies attacked the wolf in various ways: shadows, fire, and even a couple of foxes arrived to assist them. He, on the other hand, had crushed a couple of trees and demonstrated that the wolf could cut wood in half as easily as it a butcher could cut meat. He hated feeling like no use to a team. Connor looked around, for anything. Spruce trees covered the countless acres of land, coating it like a blanket. Then there was the cave, but that wasn't much use.

Connor took a deep breath, and bended down, his hands touching the ground with ease. If he was too afraid to head-on attack the wolf, them he would be forced to use the objects around him as a weapons. Connor felt a massive, pressurized water blast scraping along his shoulder, and he almost fell over right then and there. Another blast shot his hip, and he actually physically cringed. He plunged two stone hands deep into the ground, and grunting, he began to pull upward, feeling his arms straining.

A pop rang throughout the air. Was that a.. gun? Connor thought, glancing over at his allies. Sure enough, Tony clutched one in his hands. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

Connor felt another blast, and it was enough to actually make him trip backwards. Luckily, he still managed to get just what he wanted. His two stone fists, had just managed to rip a piece of land out of the ground. A tightly packed chunk of land. It wasn't much for a 20 ft tall stone golem, only about the size of his head, but it would work for what he needed it for. He lifted it up, feeling the various coarse dirt and minerals through his fingers, and launched it at the wolf, to add onto Tony's boulder. Another water blast shot right by his head, and he felt himself gasp. Wait, did he just gasp?
Bucket man? Hex thought, glancing at Terra. That seemed more or less scathing than what she had called Anthony. It was the pokemon equivalent of calling a guy in a wheelchair "wheelman." Eh, whatever. Hex watched as Pinky disappeared behind the waterfall, off to grab a rope for Terra. Shame that they didn't seem to have any pokemon that could carry Terra up the waterfall. Matt couldn't, and she certainly couldn't. Hopefully Pinky doesn't take too long.

Hex fluttered up to the top of the waterfall, while Terra waited for her lift. It shouldn't take as long as it did when they were looking for a plank, so they should more or less be in the clear. Luckily! Blaze was a long to keep her in line, or else she probably would've blown her top and end up killing Anthony or something with her magical fairy powers. When they traversed the cave, she hoped that she wouldn't too badly destroy the dragon types living there.

Hex was thinking about mingling with some of the water types there, but she decided that it would be too awkward. After all, these were Josh's people, not hers. It would be like Josh one day just suddenly walking into the hive and acting like he knew everyone. She kinda fluttered in place while waiting for Pinky to lift Terra up. In the mean time, she waited for Pinky to return by staring down the waterfall, waiting. For Terra to just start swimming up the waterfall or something.
"I got.. oh, dear god." Connor whispered, his confidence dying down immediately. A strange dampness seemed to fill the air around him. The canine creature glared at them from a set of cold, hard eyes. The creature donned a clean, white lab coat and a journal. The wolf gave off an aura of overall assertiveness and confidence, that could scare the weaker willed. Connor was not at all intimidated by any of these features, in fact. He was more or less terrified of the bolts of water.

Multiple tendril-like spouts of water seemed to emerge of out of the ground, flailing wildly, threatening to whip anything that dare come close. While the water tentacles protected the wolf from any close combat, she shot various spurts of pressurized water at his teammates. Normally? He'd be able to take on most of anything that dared to challenge him. Who'd be crazy enough to challenge a 20 ft tall stone golem? But something in his mutated mind made him absolutely fear her.

Connor felt himself freeze up as the tendrils wrapped along his legs, encasing them. He attempted to rip the water tentacles off of him, but they simply grew larger as he ripped them off. He barely tried to, anyway. Once the water tendrils had completely wrapped around him, he felt a sharp tug. This wasn't actually much of what caused him to fall. He more felt terror, and attempted to take a step back, tripping over himself along with the water tentacles.

Connor fell. The sound echoed throughout the forest, sending a crashing tremor across the forest. Like the pebble that fell Goliath, he had finally fallen to something smaller than him. It was the first time since the mutation. He spluttered, feeling cracks growing. Several pines trees had collapsed under him, snapping under the pressure of the giant. He slowly placed a hand against the floor to steady himself, rising up. "Okay. Okay." He said, and then he picked up a tree and hurled it at the wolf.

Well, I finally managed to post. Oh, and Noire, she is actually tough enough to not get killed by you stepping on her, just to let you know. That, and she happens to use Connor's main weakness.

Someone that can't be stepped on? I can already tell he's going to lose, lol.
While sleeping, Connor stayed mostly quiet. He didn't snore, and he didn't rock back and forth. His massive stone body only emit the occasional incomprehensible mutter or some unintelligible sentence. Unfortunately, his tranquil sleep only lasted for a short while. He doubt he could've even called that a sleep. In fact, he doubt he could've even called it a nap. It was more of lying down for a couple of minutes with his eyes closed. He woke up almost immediately after his sleep.

Connor half awoke, and what one thought a massive boulder slowly unfurled into a more stout, human life figure. The barrel-chested rock slowly lumbered up, slightly off balance. His feet made massive rumbles through the cave, threatening it to cave in, but for the most part, it held sturdy. He laid a thick, granite hand on the cave wall, trying to keep himself steady. "E-Ellie..?" He croaked, his mind still in a deep state of sleep. He quickly caught himself. "Oh."

Hearing voices outside, he recognized most of them. The people he had allied himself with. But there was one voice that he had no familiarized himself with yet. Intruder, maybe? He stumbled outside, still trying to shake himself out of that nap. His body yearned for a longer nap, and his body seemed to get heavier with each step. However, he held through. Maybe fighting an intruder could get some adrenaline pumping through him.

Seeing the intruder, he almost snorted. What was that? Nothing that he couldn't take on with any hardship. "What is that thing? Is he trying to threaten us? I could stomp him." He proclaimed, staring down at the creature before him. He rolled his shoulders back, hearing the stone joints groaning and grinding against each other. "Is he going to be a problem here?" Connor doubted he could get much excitement and adrenaline pumping through him with a such a small, measly little thing.
Surprisingly, Anthony pumped out a strong retort to Brace's harassment. She didn't know that the little dragon slug had it in him. Sure, he may seem a bit dopey at times, but he held a good argument. Brace seemed to back down after that, sneaking in a couple of good last words before retreating. "Almost forgot he had a mission, too. Huh." Hex said, shaking her head out of it. "You know, with the whole "Josh finds his long lost best friends and allies," I guess I forgot."

As the group began to continue along, Josh stood back for a moment, speaking with one of the pokemon at the camp. He clearly had great trust in them. She caught a bit of the conversation between the two. Josh mentioned something about a pokemon named Kiera, who Josh seemed to have great interest in. It must've been one of the pokemon who was missing from the camp. Maybe she was a close friend of Josh before he left the sea.

Hex attempted to shrug, only to realize she had no shoulders. "Yeah.. sorry, Matt." She said, watching as the amoeba lugged the plank around with his slimy fingers. "Maybe when I evolve." Matt continued to carry the plank down the waterfall, slowly hovering down, trying to balance with the long strip of wood, until he arrived at the pit. He laid it across, allowing Terra a safe entrance. She wouldn't be surprised if a Terra spat some insults for them taking so long. Or pounced on one of them.

"I think we could take on the cave." Hex intervened. "I mean, most fairy types could easily badly hurt a dragon type without a lot of struggling too badly. And with us standing behind her, I doubt there's a pokemon in that cave that could take all of us on at once." This was, of course, assuming there were no sentient pokemon within that cave. A sentient dragon type might have more of a battle plan than attack, attack, defend, attack. But what were the chances of that?
