Sorry it took so long, but here is my character. Let me know if I gotta change anything.
→ Immunity to Fire/Heat Damage: She can stand on burning coal or lay in a forest fire and she will not feel pain. In fact, heat is comforting for spirits like her and will feel rejuvenated.
→ Pyro Creation/Manipulation: She can create a hand-sized flame in each of her hands with little effort. To shoot them accurately at objects takes some concentration, but is possible. She can also take an existing fire and change it's shape. For fun, she will create different shapes and images, but nothing big and extravagant.
→ Temperature Fluctuation: She can control how hot her skin/body is depending on the situation. For example, if someone grabs her arm, she can then make her skin hot to the touch and force them to release her. Otherwise, she can cool her body temperature down in order to give hugs without harming them.
→ Water: As most would suspect, fire and water do not mix. Specifically in Marali's case, she cannot create fire if she is wet. It is also hard or impossible to light things on fire if the environment is wet (ex. rain, the ocean, dense fog, etc.)
→ Visibility: She has to see what she is lighting on fire/manipulating in order for it to work. If she is blinded in some way, or the target is out of sight/obscured, then she cannot work her powers.
→ Cold Weather: In warm temperatures, she is strong and full of energy. In cold temperatures, however, she becomes lethargic. All her energy works hard to keep her body warm internally, making her pyro abilities externally weaker. She can still use her abilities, but they don't have the same oomph as when it is summer time.
→ Marali's favorite art medium is Fire Art. She spreads powder on a canvas into the picture she wants, lights the powder on fire, then it burns the image into the paper. She loves the way the powder burns away and the image looks so different from how it started. It takes patience to get just right, but the result is usually worth it.
→ She doesn't know if she hates humans or not, but she sure as hell despises the witches that put up the barrier to begin with.
→ Marali is the second oldest child of the four siblings. She has an older brother (Hagan), younger brother (Kai), and younger sister (Alinta); who is the youngest of them all.
→ She lives in her own home, with an attic converted to a studio on the second floor, but it is never clean regardless if there are visitors or not. She treats her art equipment better than her daily items.
→ Her parents are caretakers of the town's library. The two youngest siblings help out while the oldest works at a cafe. Marali will visit the library often, but otherwise is unemployed and spends most of her time researching or making art.
❝ Fire is not synonymous with death, but don't underestimate it's power. ❞
┌ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ┐
Fire is hot, powerful, destructive. It does not think nor feel, only burns what is in it's path until snuffed out. Fire is warm, comforting, healing. It burns away the old and impure to make room for new life. Marali was born in flames and learned never to fear it's heat. Not only was it her protector, but also her strength.
Her father loves to tell her and her siblings stories about the world he used to travel freely through: the mountains he climbed, the oceans he sailed across, the caves he explored. There was no place to dangerous for him to go. He always has a big smile when telling the stories to her and her siblings, and the longing for freedom couldn't be missed in his eyes. Marali absorbed every detail, as if she could teleport to those amazing places if she concentrated hard enough.
Then there is her mother, the "Mountain Carver" of legend. She used to shape the very earth with her bare hands and watch as life grew on them. She also shares in great detail the mountains she formed and how different places could have a totally different environment from another.
Here these two travelers were, together, trapped by a curse to forever remain in Cerulia. They express bitterness towards humans for putting them in this predicament, but otherwise always seem happy to have each other and their four children. Marali couldn't be satisfied with that. She refused to remain complacent and wanted, more than anything, to explore the world her parents once roamed freely.

Patient . Stubborn . Artistic . Messy . Brave . Judgmental .
While Marali doesn't outwardly say anything, she has come to really dislike how most people in the City of Clouds seem to be content with the way things are. She is aware that there must have been attempts before by those who wanted to escape the barrier and live their lives freely, but she couldn't understand those that would give up or not try at all. It's become a big motivation of hers to discover a way to break the bearer and give the citizens the option to stay or go whenever they choose. While she knows she can't devote 24 hours of the day to the task, and knows how to take a break, she refuses to ever truly stop trying to find a way out; for her and her family's sake.
