I'm honestly not entirely sure what's going on with Torus. I try not to read other people's CS to avoid metagaming them too much, and I'll admit just reading your posts can be a bit of a chore because I have to decipher your flowery linguistics. I don't know how the Remove Curse will affect Torag in any way particular that I feel the need to be concerned about.

As far as I can say IC, I don't think Kyra herself even understands what's going on with Torag well enough to notice any difference. As far as she can tell he's still the same senile but skilled old man as he was before. Maybe she might take notice if he speaks less cryptically, but she simply doesn't know Torag well enough to figure out if this is suppose to be normal or not for him. Outsiders are always strange.
Kessel

As Kessel waited for her partner to finish breakfast, she couldn't help but overhear the other party speaking. Kessel had learned from her time in in Luskan that one ought to mind their own business, but always be aware of potential prospects. The night before Kessel had largely ignored the group since she was tired and wanted to go to bed, but hearing what they were saying she was almost certain they had similar goals. Or at least were going to the same place. Kessel looked at the party and tried to size them up. One thing was for certain, they outnumbered her and Shayle four-to-one. Kessel was confident in her skills, but even she wouldn't test those odds on the best of days. But the fact they were in such a large group would only make things easier for Kessel if she could play her words right.

Rolling up next to the cart while riding on top of Rusty, Kessel tried to get the attention of whoever led this group. She guessed it was the man riding the wolf. He seemed the authoritative type. She hoped that riding on top of her own golem would make the deminative woman seem more impressive and worthy of an alliance. "Yo!" Kessel raised her hand up as she yelled out loudly to get their attention. "Sounds to me that you're going to head into that dungeon nearby! I've heard that gnolls stalked these sands, had a run in with a few scouts a few days ago. Nothing that me, my partner, and Rusty here couldn't handle though. Still, if my hunch is right, I'm sure there's a whole nest of them near by. And chances are if you're going where I think you're going, you're going to be seeing a lot of gnolls. Why don't we team up? I don't know what you're all looking for, but I'm just investigating the ruins for some info that might help make Rusty here shine a bit better. What do ya say?"

Shayle

Shayle ate her breakfast quickly. It was still mediocre to her, even with all the fancy little fruits and nuts. That might be a nice snack, but that's no meal. But she took what she could get, and once she had enough she paid her tab and left the tavern. It was a bright sunny day, the air was hot, and the road ahead of them was wrought with danger. Just the way Shayle liked it. As she went to find Kessel, she saw the gnome talking up that group from last night. Shayle narrowed her eyes and wondered what Kessel was up to. On one hand, Shayle had always told Kessel if they want to do more dungeon delving, they'll need a bigger group. But on the other hand, this group had eight people, and at least two of them didn't like Shayle. And maybe Shayle didn't like them either; so some elf didn't take kindly to her humor and one lass felt like defending her honor. That wasn't her problem. But Shayle was also quick to forgive; they had their brawl to work their their differences, and while Shayle might not like some of those people, she can at least respect their honor for each other.

The dwarf warrior approached quietly. Or at least she didn't say anything; her armor and footsteps, even in the sand, was loud enough for just about everyone to hear. She rested her massive dwarven greataxe upon her shoulder, the black metal absorbing the light, giving it an eerie glow. "A bit bigger than I expected. But I don't mind if we gotta work together. Just lemme be clear about one thing: I don't like some of ya. But as of yesterday, I respect at least one of ya fer yer honor. Not many actually willin' to back up their friends inna fight. Most try to settle it with words or trickery. Only a real warrior's willin to throw down fer her friends, and I can respect that. As for the others... Meh."
Sorry for not posting! I've been busy lately. Also I'm just kinda wondering how exactly I should get Shayle and Kessel involved with the group. I don't think Shayle made the best first impressions...
Love the collaboration! Especially, the willingness of Kyra to sac a half-orc for her vision and version of a higher cause. :)

Thank you! Originally I had thought Kyra was suppose to be a bit sweeter, and I think she still is, but the things she's seen happen to her home town has changed her dramatically. Before the worse thing she's ever had to deal with was an uppity noble getting too cocky on his high horse. All that did was test her resolve to treat others better, believing that her faith would allow her to come out the better person. But after all of this, Kyra's perspective has taken a steep turn.

I'd like to think if Falconmoon knew what she was doing, he'd notice a stark contrast between the kind, loving Priestess of Chauntea, and this bloodthirsty huntress before him. I will admit though that I personally, and I think Kyra does too, have a bit of a conflict about the direction she's going. On one hand she's justifiably angry at these raiders and wants them all gone. But just how far will she go for justice? At what point does her pursuit of justice just become a chaotic frenzy for vengeance?

"I know this might be too soon, but I was thinking of heading back out there. There's still others who needs help, and we still need to catch one of the bad guys. Do you want to come with me?" Kyra asked directly. She wasn't going to try to be subtle and manipulate Orchid, partly out of trust, but mostly because she felt this was easier. She had no patience for intrigue.

"Okay." Orchid said without a moment of hesitation. He was already here to help to the villagers, and Kyra was just another villager to him. Scratching his chin he did wonder what they'd be doing. "Just you me?" Orchid pointed at Kyra and then at himself. He wondered if everyone else from before was going to come with them.

Kyra shook her head and looked down at Orchid's tanning work. "Yes. Torus is too old, Parum is too scared. I was thinking about asking Brannor, but his armor is too loud. I need a hunter. You're good at hunting, right?" Kyra was actually considering asking Brannor, but she didn't want to move in too large a group. And while she would never admit this, Kyra felt that she would be more comfortable sacrificing Orchid, if necessary, than Brannor.

Orchid eagerly nodded his head. "Orchid very good! Okay. Orchid get things." Orchid went to pack up his belongings. Who knows what might happen while they're out there, so it'd be safer to take his stuff with him. It's not as if he had a lot anyways. The only thing he left behind was the drake hide since it still needed tanning. He picked up his machete and gave it a few swingings, looking at it's blade. It actually hasn't seen as much action as he'd like. Hopefully he could correct that this time. "Orchid ready." He said as he sheathed his machete and strapped the shield to his arm.

Nodding her head Kyra turn and lead Orchid back towards the tunnels below. She wanted to do this as quickly as she could; the more time she wasted just standing around here, the more Greenest burns down. "Alright, listen carefully Orchid. As much as I'd like to fight everyone, we have two important things we need to do. First, we need to save the other villagers trapped in the village. If you hear anyone scream for help, we have to help them. Second, we need to capture one of the bad guys. I don't care how many we kill, but we need to keep one alive. Not the kobolds though; I doubt they have anything important to tell us. But everyone else is okay. The tougher they look, the more important information they might know."

Eventually Kyra and Orchid would arrive at the entrance to the tunnel. There were a few guards there as they approached. "We are heading back out to rescue more villagers, as well as try to capture one of the raiders for questioning. It'll just be me and him for now, since the rest needs to rest up and recover from the last mission."
Aimee stayed at the church for the rest of that day. Kneeling before the altar, she did nothing but pray, hoping for a sign. Occasionally she would anoint herself with holy water hoping that it would cleanse the taste of scum from her lips. But even if she immediately reincarnated into a newborn body, she still would feel filthy. She felt so violated. Every fiber of her being wanted to crazy; she wanted to go back to that guild hall and kill everyone there. One bullet in each of their heads. But she had to control herself. She knew these erratic emotional swings was due to her goddess's blessing. In the wrong hands they turn normal people into madmen. But Aimee wasn't going to lose control so easily. Her faith was too strong to let it waver now. Granted she had her moments of weakness: She had originally intended to just leave the guild hall peacefully, but something awoke inside of her that forced her to draw her gun. She didn't mean it, but she also knew that no one else would understand.

Those faithless heathens just had no idea what it meant to be touched by the gods. They were all vile savages who turned away from the gods. Even if they had the slightest awareness, they were far too barbaric to earn the gods attention. Indeed, this city was seeped with sin. Adventurers who only cared about themselves and money, who partook in sinful activities like indulging succubi, necromancy, or worse, heresy. "Please, my lady, give me a sign... Tell me that my faith is pure and true! Save me from the vile corruption of those disgusting infidels..." She looked up at the statue of her goddess, praying for some sign. Anything at all to validate Aimee's seething hatred.
Hmm. I guess we'll deal with that when we get there. Our collab ends with us getting to the entrance anyways.
I'm working on a collab with Lucius between Kyra and Orchid!

@Hekazu Would there be any problems as Kyra and Orchid tries to go out and find that prisoner to interrogate? I know it shouldn't be easy, but would anyone try to stop them before they leave?
When the doors opened Kyra rushed everyone inside the keep. She made sure to lead them personally so that none of the guards think these villagers were actually raiders who managed to break in. Once everyone was safe and sound Kyra let herself have a breath of relief and relaxed. She immediately sunk to the floor and massaged her eyes, trying to get rid of the image of her beloved chapel gutted and burned to the ground. "It can be rebuilt... It will be rebuilt..." As she closed her eyes Kyra realized just how exhausted her body was. She didn't remember the last time she had a moment to rest; if she wasn't tending to the wounded she was out fighting, and there were so many here at the keep who needed help.

Kyra jolted awake and noticed that she was alone. She looked around for others, finding a guard who mentioned that a group of villagers just arrived. It was the same group that Kyra had lead in, so she wasn't asleep for long. But she thought she might have been out for longer. Her mind lingered on the enemy and it brought a reminder. They still needed to capture one of the raiders. Kyra had no more spells left, but she knew this village well and could pass off as a mere victim to be bait. If she could get some of the others to help her perhaps they could get that prisoner that the mayor had asked for. But who...?

The first person that came to mind was that half-orc, Orchid. He seemed to have the skills to hunt down and take out a raider nonlethally, which they can then bring back to the keep for interrogation. But his poor grasp of common, as well as Kyra's own fury, made her aware that neither of them would be suitable to talk to this prisoner. BUt then that brought Kyra's thoughts to the halfling bard. Though she was cowardly, perhaps the minstrel can muster up the courage to extract information from their unwanted guest. It wasn't much of a plan but it was the best that Kyra could think of at the moment. So she went off to look for Orchid, to recruit him in her mission.

She found the half-orc in the common's area thanks to one of the guards. She wasn't sure what Orchid was doing but she called out to him. "Orchid! I need to speak with you." The priestess approached, her face stern but warm. She didn't want to make Orchid think he was in trouble, but this was a serious request.
"... What?"

Everything happened so fast. She was prepared to fight this thug and leave him bleeding in the streets. But instead someone, or maybe it was even this ruffian, they... She just lost her first kiss. To a complete stranger. A stranger who Aimee thought was a total douchebag, and someone who needed to be knocked down a peg. Eventually the two put some space between each other and Aimee could only kneel down and contemplate what had happened. She wanted to analyze it, to think about how she could have stopped it, maybe even fool herself into thinking it didn't happen. But despite how quickly it went by, she remembers it all with painfully vivid details.

Even hearing the old man get punched didn't snap Aimee out of her nearly catatonic state of embarrassment. But shortly after the old man fell, Aimee looked up. She then stood and walked away. As she was leaving she noticed Yaj. Something insde of her echoed in her mind. A warning... A blessing. A sign. He was the one who did this to her. To cause her such an embarrassing act, in front of all these people, with that scumbag. As Aimee walked out of the guild hall she turned around briefly, at an angle that would allow her to still see that orc. In one swift motion, Aimee took out Evelyn, shot at Yaj, and holstered her gun. She was going to church and pray.
