Okay, um... this isn't a full judgement on the bio yet, but, um...After some thought, while magic is mostly freeform, we've decided that in most cases(with a few justified exceptions) it should involve some kind of ritual. For spells that need to be fast this can be just a word or an action, but it makes it so it's not just some kind of inherent power or ability. And, well, Kurai seems to just have shadow powers as it's written.Also, the name should probably be more, um, "Magical" but yeah.Edit: And a creatures section has been added to the original post!


Im not sure I'm getting exactly what you are trying to say but i have a good idea and i believe you're saying our spells have to come from rituals, runes or incantations that would mean it isn't really magic in the traditional sense that would be arcane magics from the old days (Witches, Wizards, Hermits) or just plain enchanters right, is that what you mean?

Profession: Although the daughter of an archeologist and a psychiatrist, Kagura has chosen the not to wise profession of being a master thief
Personality: Other than being the most likely to rob you blind Kurai is actually pretty fun to hang around with provided you keep your coin purse at home. She’s cheerful and very flattering doing what she can to make it very easy for one to lower their guard around her not that having it up makes much of a difference. Due to her penchant for kleptomania combined with her abilities she will steal things without realizing it usually always the last person to know she’s stolen something, and it could be anything under the son from a stuffed animal to the life savings of an elderly gentlemen. When Kurai puts her mind and skills to it though there is no one better in the business of stealing than she is; a tactical mind backs her up able to analyze and pick apart a person or situation to decide the best course of action.
Equipment/Weapons: Nothing other than the cloth clothing on her back with very deep pockets

Abilities:
Erebokinesis or Darkness manipulation - She can create, shape and manipulate darkness itself this includes her shadows as well as the shadows of others. Judging by how much energy is put into it a variety of effects from forcing a complete absence of light or making it a solid substance; make shields or blanket an area in total darkness as well as teleport herself over large areas via shadows.

• Shadow Stepping – One her favorite skills from her employment of Erebokinesis in which upon stepping into a fairly large area of darkness she can seamlessly vanish and travel anywhere along that specific shadow, if a shadow connects with another she can hope to that shadow and continue going without being detected
• Negative field – The first step in generating darkness out of nowhere is to have the ability to turn a reasonable about of light energy into the negative inverse this requires a decent amount of concentration but not enough to be an hindrance mainly this is used for attacks or that emergency escape.
• Shadow link – Another sub ability of Kurai is that her and her shadow are forever linked although she can control and manipulate other people’s shadows she is linked with her own giving her to ability to take from other people’s pockets without detection, summon her shadow in the three dimensional plane and swap places with it in terms of positioning

Brief Backstory: Kurai Goto as a young girl had an unhealthy obsession with taking things from other people, a habit that she more than likely got from her mother seeing as how she was a glorified tomb raider who took her on various expeditions where she was quickly acquainted with the four D’s. Duck, dodging, dipping and diving were her best friends at the times as her own mother would often times leave her behind instructing the little girl to find her own path around as a result she became very acrobatic. When it came to the tombs however her sticky fingers were free to roam so long as she could stay alive the little girl would walk away with pockets full and a big smile.

Years passed and she began to hang around her father more the intellect of a person who could read people was interesting that and his patients wouldn’t look after their things as closely as they should have. Other than the easy targets she sat in on each patient’s hearing and watch her father work trying to see what he saw picking apart the person learning how to view others, studying them to get a leg up on them rather than her father’s approach which was to help them. Other than her five finger discount addiction she was a very sweet charming little girl in her youth with a bright future picking up anything topic and quacking learning from it without much need for studying.

On one of her mother’s expeditions they recovered an ancient scroll in an unknown writing; the scroll itself seemed to call to her so much so the girl began to decipher the text. The scrolls later turned out to be a manual for magic more specifically shadow magic teachings of old masters all scribbled down onto pages of a worn out torn paper but she could learn from it the idea of shadow magic intrigued her. This is truly where her habit turned into a profession of full blown kleptomania and pick pocketing became bank heists all without be detected in and out without a trace or sound.
