I am more versed in pre-islamic faiths, beliefs and cultural motifs. Paganism, Zoroastrianism, Mithraism & the like. And also, don't forget the Islam is only one contemporary faith from the middle east. You also have Sikhism, Buddhism, Hinduism, the infamous Yezidi faith, etc.

Now, personally I've drawn my character Idea from the writings of HP Lovecraft, more than anything traditionally middle eastern. And I don't have a problem with that at all because 1) this is fictional and 2) I thought we were doing it for fun.

Anyway, if you'd like some more info on the "old ways" from the middle east, check these links out:

Alright, alright. So, theoretically, I could play a heretical magic user who is being driven insane by the forbidden truths he's learning from the ancient dark forces that he's learned to call upon to enact his magic???
You see? The people are curious and want more info.
I'm confused. When you say "every guild", do you mean every guild-member? Or are ther many guilds? And if there are many guilds, are they all thieves guilds?
So what's allowed here besides vamps & zombs? Wraiths? Lichs? Banshees? Hellhounds? Skeletons? Sluagh? Angels of Death? Necromantic Spirits? Corpse-driving Parasites?

And speaking of necromancy, will magic be involved?

Tell us more.
