From the way Joesph saw it, the kingdom of Gabriel was in shambles ever since the old king and queen had died. The new queen seemed uninterested in politics, and while he could not blame her for that, it seemed... troubling, seeing how the King of Michael and the Queen of Raphael were in comparison. Joesph feared her inexperience would incur severe consequences for the kingdom. And with the rumors of the return of Lucifer, there could be no worse timing.
He was not used to feeling helpless as a knight of Gabriel, but politics was not something won with blade alone. It was never that simple. Forcing your way with other kingdoms usually led to ruin. And god forbid you attempt something like the old rulers of Raphael.
Joesph would have to wait and pray for the best. For now, at least, he would attempt to take his mind off things.
Having sheathed his falx, he exited his dwelling, and the gentle rays of sunlight slowly danced upon his armor. It was a beautiful day. Perhaps an good omen from the Lord himself. A few soldiers on patrol in the streets paused for a moment to salute him, awknowledging his rank. Joesph began to walk towards the barracks, as preparations for the treaty were underway. The army of Gabriel was always on high alert at this time. After all, who knows when the treaty might be broken....
