That reminds me of something I saw, when two mercenaries mistook some guy as a spy or something and were trying to kill him, and he hijacks a car to get away but it's a garbage truck. One of the guys says "Ingenious! He's trying to confuse us by using the slowest most obvious vehicle here!"

I've never seen someone trying to act conspicuous. I guess that would be a lot easier than trying to blend in, although I can't say much for it's effectiveness in stealth.
