Ryan shielded his eyes as the girl, in other words, went supernova. Ryan had gotten her to admit that the truth... and she was pretty much going to kill him, even if she wasn't trying to. The side of his face that was facing her burned badly, and the stench of burnt skin filled the room. His hands that were shielding his eyes were getting burnt pretty badly as well. Glancing at one of the windows, his reflection revealed that half of his face was bloodied and areas were somewhat burnt. His arms were riddled with scorch marks. To say he was hurt was a bit of an understatement. It felt as if he had gone next to the sun itself...
But Alex, her, sort of boyfriend comforted her, and she stopped. Heh, maybe next time he should remember that this girl could pretty much kill him if he much less stood next to her. Was it worth it? Perhaps. His face and right arm hurt immensely. And the boyfriend would probably have questions for him. Oh joy. Wouldn't that be fun.
"You must be Alex. I suppose I have to thank you for saving my life."
