Nah, it was nothing. There's still conscription in effect here in Finland, and it is seen quite normal here.

@Oak7ree a lot. All soldiers train with a great deal of gear -- something the civvies probably can't do unless they're already rather strong.

The Easy Company trained about two years before being deployed (from the summer of 1942 to June 1944), and that period included basic training, jump training and training in England, if I recall correctly. They started the jump training in 1943, I think.

EDIT: So, actually, nobody has their wings. Maria doesn't have British parachute training, only Italian, and unless the rest of you have it stashed away somewhere...

I beg a question: could Jean be qualified to have the wings, as he has had about a year to train different "specialised" skills (as he was part of the SOE), such as sabotage and demolitions. He possibly could have the wings, but what do you think?

@Oak7ree he was looking right at her -- I did say she met his gaze. I'd be happy to post next, but it is a little disappointing when people don't react. At least say he missed noticing, though I'd think one's sizing her up he'd notice that. And I suppose maybe he didn't hear Izkry -- but I don't know that unless yuyuou say something in the narration. *sticks tongue out* can I maybe persuade you to at least have him mentally note that glare, even if he says nothing to them? Izkry can respond to the question of cards, that seems like a reasonable thing to have.
