@obisemkenobi two things

1) read the OP/Rules you have the wrong code-word.

2) you can't possibly have books the archives don't. If it was ever published the archives has it.

1.
2. Ah, I see. I thought I read somewhere that it had every book of the last 200-300 years so that's why I added that. I'll just edit that to a few of his favourites then.

ANything else?
@Sep Ok, I finished it. Sorry about the unorthodox format of the bio discription, I'll rewrite it in a normal style if you want, but this helped me personally shape his history and personality a bit.

Also, yes I'm Dutch, goedemorgen to you too :)
@obisemkenobi you are correct, though I finally came up with a name for it and its the Investigorial branch of Security... I.e. investigators. So original.

@Buddha that is what he is talking about, I brought this idea up with him before I had stuck with a name and it was still oocly referred to as 'Space Police'

'Space Police'. I like it. Makes me sound like a Spectre :P
So I'm head of the Ivestigorial branch of Security. Got it. I have a feeling I'm really going to like this character if I can get him right. Speaking of which, what's the deal witht he code word?
@SepAwesome, thanks! So in the case of a police chief it would be non-military right? He is basically a civilian, but answers to the Admiral (as top of the hierchy) simply because he is the leader around here and the security chief because he's the obvious choice next in line, he won't actually have a rank and stuff.
I wanted to add some of the boarding in my introduction post and wanted to describe his bio in the form of a conversation with his recruiter, hence the questions. Starting now I will be working full-time on the character sheet, so I hope to complete it soon!
Ok, I'll be working on my character sheet really hard until it's finished today, so I'll just launch a few more questions, mostly concerning the selection procedure.
-How would people be notified they've been selected? Do they get a letter?
-After they have been notified I presume they'll have some sort of contact person, or someone to go to with questions. Perhaps the person who selected them in the first place. If for nothing else than finding out why they've been chosen. Who would this person be?
-How would the boarding procedure work? I assume there's heavy security and that they'll have to check in somewhere, be guided to their quarters and report to their respective leaders. Is this the work of NPCs that we as players can invent on the spot? Would my character report to Admiral Locke, or to the head of Security Turov, or someone else entirely when first coming aboard?

I'm sorry if some of these questions have already been answered in the IC, but it took me a while to plough through the OOC again and I have some other life stuff I have to do first, but I thought I'd post this mainly to let you know I'm still here and working on it.
Wow, I thought "hey, I have half an hour, let's catch up on the OOC and maybe finish writing down a character sheet", only to find 9 pages since I last checked! Having finally ploughed through it all, I once again have a few questions (I have a lot of those, just shut me up when you're getting tired of me).
-I was actually going to make my character Dutch. Am I correct in assuming that The Netherlands have actually been a nuclear wasteland for the past 137 years? Because that obviously changes things :P
-I sort of imagined my character's functions as a police chief to be a bit of a sheriff type deal, but I just realised that the chief of security is, of course military and already someone's character, so how would our assignments be divided/work together? Is Lieutenant Roach really just security, or is there a part investigation and maintaining order as well? Just to make sure I don't mess stuff like that up.
-How did the recruitment for this thing work? Did you have to sign up for it and hope to be good enough to get chosen, or did the qualified people just receive a notification at some point saying "Well congratulations, you’re going aboard this ark and we’ll explain everything when you get there?" Is there a person they would meet with for a job interview? How were the people prepared for their part in this? That sort of stuff.

I should have my character sheet up tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!
Great, then I'll let you know once I have something.
Got it. I'll start brainstorming about the character and work on a character sheet as soon as possible. It might take a day or two though because I really happen to have a very busy weekend where I won't be home all that long. Is that going to be a problem?
That makes it very clear, thank you. I think I'll claim the head of the police department then :)
Right now that leaves me with just one more question: who does he answer to? It's a good thing he is not part of the military, but who does he take orders from?
