Hello,

I'm 32 years old and I was lured into this forum because of our sick hobby. I come from a background of poetry and roleplaying starting in high school. I was a much better painter than I ever was writing, much less writing other than poetry. Today nothing has changed. I would love to become better and I welcome any critique.

I can handle something like 2 RPs at a time. I can guarantee at least 2 posts a week, typing 300-1500 words between dialogue and detail-oriented posts when the going is good. I can't function without some of that sweet OOC chat.

If you're looking to start a RP, my only restrictions are based on site rules — of which I frequently forget — and I think that a 2 paragraph bottom-line is reasonable. I prefer original characters and original stories.

I'm good for medieval, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, space-faring, western, or especially military/war roleplays. I always have a tiny itch for traditional pirate RPs; however, I've accepted long ago that I can't do it and no longer pursue them. I like gritty settings, tragedy, fast paced scenes, crawling tense scenes and a drop of natural romance. Also, nonsense is always fun.

If you would like to know more or have roleplay questions don't hesitate for a second, send them over.

If you're interested in roleplays with a bit of gunslinging, check out my guide below for some tips and ideas to create a foundation of firearms knowledge.

I talked with @Kenshi about the body's origins. We are figuring it out. Also, can I be Co-GM? I'd like to help out in a more extensive way than offering advice.

Updated it for CoGM. I'm going to be building up the story and the lore on the body to eventually put into the character sheet
Might use your little profile @Dark Cloud
Oh I know about the intro but wanted to pitch who our character was prior to starting.

You mean where the body came from? The original voice?
Oh I know about the intro but wanted to pitch who our character was prior to starting.

I didn't have a character in mind, just an empty canvas of bones. Inspired by a lot of undead soldier stuff I've seen lately and also, there's some annoying app comic advertisement about a dungeon minion who keeps getting resurrected. Which I'm kind of digging the idea but won't fork up the cash to read it.

I did plan at some point introducing flesh to the character (based on OOC votes) if someone didn't do it IC already. As far as the heart and mind of the character, that's up to each participant to create their own interpretation. Since it's just one shared risen corpse they all share, each post could tell a different story. That's the idea anyway.

At the moment I'm discussing with someone about increasing the time limit and removing post length so people can get involved as they want without the hijinks of restrictions to short fast posts.

Edit: Yeah You could start posting- But actually hold up while I talk out some deets with DraconiWarlord. fyi, I don't have anything IC because I thought the Intro/Welcome post above was IC.
<Snipped quote by Dark Cloud>

It's almost like I've done this in a different forum.

I was getting confused because I didn't realize the threads are split into IC/OOC. That's cool.

I'd say this likely exists elsewhere. There is no original thought, right? I've seen a few roleplays where you cast votes on the actions of the character and the GM plays it out. I originally wanted to do that but decided I wanted to try something little more surprising, varied and involved for others.

Welcome to ONE FOR ALL

A collaborative input/output fantasy adventure game where you, the players, decide the fate of our character in a mysterious world. This involves one character that anyone can influence by casting votes in the form of commands after each Story Entry. Check the rules and tips then try it! If you have questions or ideas, please discuss it since this RP is subject to evolve!

Getting involved doesnt mean you have an obligation to post, it is minimal investment, only follow the rules if you do post. No one is relying on your response so no pressure, just enjoy.

Synopsis
This adventure involves a troupe of countless souls bound to one body, a blank canvas of bones. The adventure is up to the collective decisions of the many voices (you) that influence the skeleton. After a round of voting, actions will be tallied for manifesting in the story.

Our now nameless character will have no special abilities or magic at first, only a basic skeleton. This will quickly change. Along the way you will encounter many challenges. Upon facing them you will be rewarded with a snippet of lore that reveals your host bodies origins layer by layer. These may provide hints for facing later challenges, finding artifacts, or even revealing forgotten anecdotes from your lost soul's past. The latter will allow for some new skill, knowledge or ability to be accessed by you and your host. Much can change for our protagonist.

Rules & Tips

Follow RPG rules for conduct

The IC thread is for GM posting only. This is where the main story unfolds.

The Character thread is for GM posting only. This is where you can monitor the development and status of our protagonist and his effects.

OOC is for all your posting; to include voting, discussion, and otherwise.

Story posts will denote things of interest in CAPS. It is not used all-inclusively and not 100% mutually exclusive to special items; more to help encourage activity and exploration. Ex: "On the table amidst rusty spoons and a KNIFE, one FORK casts a glow." You can still interact with the FORK, the KNIFE, the tableware, the table, or anything.

Votes can be cast after each story entry and a GM prompt in OOC. Only 1 voting post per person. You may suggest as many actions or ideas as you wish within your post. When submitting a command use CAPS to help distinguish it (FIGHT, DROP, STEP ON, etc.). Try using IF, THEN, or AND to structure your actions clearly. Ex: >CUT pork thinly then FEED Fido >If Fido growls, RUN into the room and HIDE.

Votes will be counted after an OOC GM prompt ending the voting period. All commands with >3 votes will be implemented, otherwise, the highest scoring will be given priority. The GM is tie-breaker on conflicting votes. In some cases, even 1 vote can make it.

Issue any command you will. Use simpler verbiage with commands to increase potential for building votes with other players. Otherwise, votes synchronize as such Ex: x2 FIGHT orc, CUT orc, IMPALE orc; This counts as 4 votes to fight the orc with sub-action of cut and impale. Therefor our character will fight and may cut, impale or both

Skilled actions and abilities will develop based on creative, unusual, or frequent use of it. This may unlock advanced versions or specialized and unique mechanics. Things like swinging a sword, picking a lock, haggling, spellcasting, running etc. Be bold, be wary.

If you enjoy this, spread the word! Subscribe and invite others to join ONE FOR ALL. The more people post the more visible the game and the faster we can continue the skeleton's quest!

Welcome to my guide on the arts of gun-fighting. Here I will introduce you to all the concepts in firearms and tactics that I believe will help pave your way to becoming the hotshot bounty hunter/ soldier/ assassin/ armorer/ fantasyweapondesigner you've always dreamed. This primarily details modern gunfighting techniques and firearms used between the late 19th century and now. I'm sure you'll find something useful here no matter your familiarization with firearms or roleplay genre. So, take and bake!

This is organized into 4 main categories. In experience I will give examples of what someone would experience slinging lead. This should help your sensory-based descriptions. Then I will break down the most common parts and mechanics of firearms and their many accessories. This will give you more insight on the purpose of different components. Also, it gives you a starting point for brewing up your own weapons. Next, the ballistics section will talk about the physics involved in all stages of the bullets life; from the time it is birthed by fire in the chamber, until it unifies with its target. This should demonstrate what you can expect squirting lead every which way. Lastly, the meat and potatoes, I will give an overview of some weapons, tactics and techniques that you might understand being as badass as yourself. This will provide a foundation with which to build your character's style as it pertains to expertly (or ineptly) handling their weapon of choice.

Here's some listenin' for your 45+min journey towards enlightenment.

Disclaimer: This is not an all inclusive list of mechanics, accessories, techniques, etc.

Thanks for reading. Please shoot me a PM if you have comments, questions, requests or suggestions. This will be updated as needed. I hope this information inspires you to create some bonkers-rad gunfighting stories.
