A. we aren't playing astartes.

B. the visibility of the backpack itself doesn't negate the fact that the wingspan is wider than a human's shoulder width.
@Nohbdy

i'm sorry but that still doesn't make sense to me. A grave chute isn't the size of a seat cushion. each one has these two little wings that jut out to the sides.

which would make it incredibly difficult to move any part of its arms without these backpack units clashing with each other. Also I said 10 chutes because comrades exist. Maybe it isn't 10, but it is still probably 6-8 total.

and again, total weight of objects is not my concern. it is physical dimensions of everything. Does no one else see how I find the idea of a servitor with a half dozen grav chutes strapped to him ridiculous?

@Nohbdy

As I mentioned, nothing against you, but I just find the 'put everything on the servitor' solution a lazy workaround. because again I question how this servitor is physically carrying all of the stuff being asked of him. It's just.... not possible. Its not a matter of weight as much as it is a matter of dimensions. Just because one can physically lift a certain amount of weight still doesn't mean he is capable of carrying anything that is equivalent to that weight.

First ten grave chutes, plus a heavy stubber? What else are we putting on this guy? and where exactly on his body is it being stored?

its like D&D, when players just say 'well I put in in my backpack' in regards to anything from a 10,000 coins to a ten foot pole to an entire suit of platemail. its just a 'wave of the hand' kind of explanation that has always bothered me with rpgs.

If it was just the heavy stubber and a few minor things it was carrying, than I would say 'awesome'. Either that or I will have my character and her comrade tag team the weapon and carry it at the same time. Which now that I think about it is probably what should happen anyway.
I added the shotgun.
@AdvancedJ3lly

yes, obviously I can't hipfire it. but at the same time I still have to carry it around. if i'm not actively using it or bringing it along, what is the point of playing a heavy? only getting to use it 20% of the time? that's lame and boring.

and at the same time I can't carry the shotgun and the ammo, and the stubber plus my kit(even if we trimmed down the useless stuff like the bedroll, that is still a notable amount of weight between the armour, uniform, resperator, etc. Something like 12-15 kg total ontop of 30.... I just can't carry the shotgun. And again, if I abandon the stubber, why am I even playing a heavy?
Carrying around a heavy weapon does actually limit you a lot in this system. especially at the earlier stages when you can't up your attributes all that much
I thought I remembered it being from somewhere.... maybe I am just crazy

fixed
@AdvancedJ3lly

the old concern of weight resurfaces. Dropping that shotgun and its ammo saves me 10kg and actually being able to carry around the stubber.

I also think its stupid that heavy weapons don't come stock with bipods for bracing.

as for the toughness thing. The heavy trooper gets +5 toughness bonus for free
@Poi

I rolled terribly on my wounds. literally this is the lowest number of wounds I could have rolled
@AdvancedJ3lly

Even a heavy stubber I believe is supposed to be a threat to a space marine in the lore. Autoguns and lasguns and regular stub weapons are a joke to them. but the heavy stubber actually has some power behind it. Enough to pierce at least the soft armour of a space marine if it hits the right spot.

At least that was the case in a few novels and the like.

In any case, I'll be taking a heavy stubber as my weapon mostly because it is still the lightest option and the easiest to keep supplied with ammo.

I just realized I have a toughness of 50, holy shit. I can carry all the bullets.

Also my character is done. review it at your liesure
