Need a tool upgraded? Need some clippers or a milker perhaps? Maybe you want to get some cheese makers for your farm or just need a part made of metal? Well Ruby is your girl! She also dabbles in jewelry a bit, and although she doesn't advertise that fact, you can find a some of her creations in her shop to buy.
Physical Info
Appearance: While Ruby has some intimating features, being 5'8" and rather muscular, it's pretty easy to see she's a gentle person. She prefers to keep her hair tied back in some way, usually in braids, as it keeps her hair out of her face. She usually has a small smile on her face, though often the it doesn't reach her soft brown eyes. She has the ribbon tied around her arm because she thinks its a cute touch to her attire, but is embarrassed to say so.
Attire/Style: Ruby feels most comfortable in her work clothes (like she has on in the above picture), which is to say she doesn't have much style going on. But secretly at home, she has quite a few cute dresses that shes trying to work up the nerve to wear sometime. Can also be seen sporting some protective eye wear whenever she goes into the mines to gather up some ore or sharpening tools. It's not uncommon to see her sweaty or covered dirt and grime because of her line of work.
Mental Info
Personality: If you were to go up and talk to Ruby, one of the first things you would notice about her was that she would do her best not to look you in the eye, preferring to keep her gaze to the ground. She's somewhat shy and awkward when it comes to speaking to people, even to people she's known for a little while. She's very polite and formal, but distant towards people. She lacks confidence when it comes to making friends, and wants to try her best to make some but often ends up bailing out of attempts (though shes trying to work on this by the time she comes to Hope Valley). She does care about people though and will do her best to help anyone that comes to her with any sort of problem.
While she lacks confidence in her people skills, she's fully confident in her work skills. She takes great pride in everything she makes or fixes and even though she tries to avoid confrontation, she will defend her work avidly. She's quick to rise in the morning to get her work started and very seldom takes breaks, especially on projects she is excited for. She feels more comfortable around people when they're in her shop and talking to them about a job they want her to do. She also tries to be fair about her prices and will even lower her cost if the person is in a tight spot at the moment.

History: Ruby comes from a long line of blacksmiths, and along with her older sister, was brought up to be one as well. She enjoyed working with her family quite a bit, but as time passed, she wondered if she should be setting out to set her own shop somewhere, to see if she could hold her own without any of her family around to help her. But setting off for an unknown town, filled with people she didn't know, made her feel uneasy. That is, until she got a dream about a little town called Hope Valley. Feeling like the dream might have been a sign from Harvest Goddess, Ruby looked into it and found that Hope Valley was close to being a ghost town and was in need of more people and businesses to come in, one of them being a blacksmith. While still a bit nervous about leaving home, Ruby realized that this was the opportunity she had been looking for and quickly packed up. One teary goodbye with her family later and she was on her way to Hope Valley, ready to start her new life and business.
