"Gimme dat! That's my weapon."

Ai snatched her yo-yo back from Aria. She pinwheeled the yo-yo and finished by skyrocketing it straight into her pocket. All just for show.

"I saw you a few times back at Signal," said Ai, stretching out her hand to shake, "I never forget a Faunus face. I'm Ai Huang. Wanna be friends?"

Ai pointed her thumb back at the cheetah Faunus with the combat boots.

"And who's this guy?", she said, looking back, "Stop staring at me with that stupid grin on your face and say something. You wanna be friends too?"

"Little one? LITTLE ONE?!"

Ai instinctively reached into her pockets for her yo-yos, but stopped half-way.

"Calm down, tiger," she said to herself. "You're at Beacon now. Just play it cool."

Ai took one yo-yo out of her pocket and gave it a few relaxing spins before putting it back. Whoever that guy was, he was a jerk, and a human, and those two things were generally synonymous. Ai turned around and bumped right into a fox-eared Faunus girl she thought she recognized. Of course, like everyone else, she was way taller, so Ai had to look straight up.

"Uh... hi. You're Signal, right?"

Ai never payed attention to these things at Signal so she probably would have tuned out right away had Mr. Ozpin's speech not been so ridiculously short.

"Wait, that was it?" said Ai. She yawned. "I like this guy. He keeps it brief."

Ai looked around. Everyone towered over her. Nothing new, really. Everyone was taller than her at Signal, too. Even the freshmen.

"This sucks! Everyone here is huge," she said to herself. She yawned again. "There's a bed waiting to be slept on somewhere around here..."

"Ai's Semblance allows her to use her aura to control her presence. While active, her aura is disguised and is difficult to detect, letting her move without making a sound, but her aura can also be used to exert the uncomfortable feeling of being watched by an unseen predator."

She uses this to her advantage by altering her weight while grappling with the Tiger Teeth to weigh herself down and pull heavy objects, or make herself light enough to swing around objects. Ai's own physical hardiness is directly tied to her weight: at her lightest, Ai is using the least amount of aura, and takes the most damage."

An undersized (standing at a measly 4'6", despite her age, and ironic considering the tiger is the largest cat species) blonde Faunus with tiger ears and a tail.

Personality: Ai is friendly, childish, sly and mischievous. She is sensitive about her height, and is often teased for it -- when she's not being bullied for being a Faunus. She's none too bright, and struggles at the theory aspects of training to be a Huntress, but relishes in the practical aspects and works very hard to push the limits of her body.

History: Ai descends from Faunus who lived in Menagerie prior to the Faunus War, but who immigrated to Vytal afterwards. As a result, Ai comes from a poor upbringing, living in a small village not too far off from Vale.
At a young age, Ai's family attended the Vytal Festival in Vale, where Ai's parents bought her a yo-yo. She quickly became enamored with the toy, becoming incredibly proficient at performing advanced yo-yo tricks. As a Faunus, Ai had to defend herself against discrimination and bullying from other children, and used her yo-yo as an improvised weapon to do so, though it often got her in trouble and gave her a mischievous reputation.
A year later, Ai's village was attacked by Grimm. It was quickly defended by an experienced Hunter, to which Ai bore witness. As a result, Ai was inspired to become a Huntress. Her parents were supportive of her dream, and sent her away to attend at Signal with the hopes of moving on to Beacon.
At Signal, Ai reforged her beloved first yo-yo into one half of two dangerous Tiger Teeth, "Friend". Afterwards, she saved up money to acquire an expensive top-of-the-line secondary yo-yo, and reforged it into her second weapon, "Stranger". The two are functionally identical, with the only difference being that Friend's disks are visibly more worn than Stranger's.

Weapon: Tiger Teeth, Friend (right-hand) and Stranger (left-hand) Classed: DPSB (Dust-Propelled Star Bandalore). These weapons are a set of two lengthy wired mechanical yo-yos with five extendable rotating blades contained inside each disk. The blades can be extended in two configurations: just one (Chinese rope-dart mode), and all five (flying sawblade mode). Dust can be used as a propellant to super-accelerate the disks, change their trajectory more precisely while in the air, or reel in quicker. Similar to Chinese wind and fire wheels, they can also be used in close-range, but much less effectively.
