Sarantsatsral is one of the Wind People, or in their tongue; Uaru. With a slim body like an elf but the height of a dwarf, the Uaru are humanoids with large feathered wings sprouting from their hips. An Uaru's wings are commonly twice their physical height. As such, they can easily achieve flight. An Uaru reaches maturity at the age of 8 human years. Their physical features almost never age after maturity. The Uaru's average lifespan is 55 human years. Sarantsatsral is currently 16 human years old - and sadly still unmarried.
NAME: Sarantsatsral Uiun Pepelu
ABSTRACT: A travelling medicine-(wo)man
INTENT: Wanderlust, and perhaps for the riches
FIRST ADVENTURE: Sarant has been traveling as early as she had recalled, being the apprentice to a travelling medicine man. She probably does not remember her first adventure, perhaps it was a rather dull one. But one of the more memorable ones was with the sighting of an extremely large mansion, atop an even larger hulking beast which resembled a land tortoise taking its steps one at a time in an absurdly slow pace. She remembered musing to herself; if there would ever be a day when she would finally afford such a lovely abode.
HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE? With winter closing in, Sarant had to get to the next town before she was trapped in the mountains, and with snowfall appearing earlier than anticipated - she had to hurry. Alas, it was within moments that she was caught in a snowstorm. She eventually found a suitable cave to rest. Sarant lit a fire, cozied up near the licking flames as she attempts to wait out the snowstorm. It wasn't moments later, that a silhouette appeared near the entrance. Another person who were also caught in the rather unexpected tidings of early winter. They shared the cave and the warmth of the flames, told stories and tales of their adventures. At the end of the endeavor, Sarant cheekily charged the person for her flames and company. That person, was none other than Kettle.
WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU? Sarant's vast knowledge of herbs and their medicinal properties - along with her general understanding of the inner workings of botany. Also perhaps for her well-traveled experience.
HOW DO YOU KNOW Lila? It was in one particular cave, where she met Lila. Fearing for her life, Sarant immediately offered her fish roasting in the fire-pit. Surprised at first, with the rather lack of appetite for a larger bird (Sarant) when the Jorogumo picked the stick of fish instead of her. They came to exchange a few words and merriment, to which Sarant charged Lila for her company, flames and the Fish-on-a-stick. @t2wave
HOW DO YOU KNOW Jazzle Finks? She met Jazz not in his best of conditions, slightly bruised and beat - to which Sarant immediately offered her expertise. She opened up her medicine box and began to apply it on the injured goblin; deftly cleaning the wounds with liquids, swabbing bruises with ointments, packed a grounded wrap of mixed herbs with instructions of use at tow - all without Jazz's approval. At the end, she charged Jazz a hefty sum - only to notice that her purse was stolen hours later. She assumed it was probably Jazz! @WatermelonTango
HOW DO YOU KNOW Clavic? To be fair, Sarant never knew Clavic at all. She simply walked pass a lump of bones before she jokingly uttered; "No elixir could fix you out of that predicament!" To which it spooked her mindless when said lump of bones moved and turned towards her. @Cinderella Man
More to come! I personally intend to have my character somehow meeting -nearly- everyone XD
Also, what is Dire Wolf exactly in position? It has both huge ass cannon and jaws/pistons that wrecks stuff if it can reach it.
I'm pretty sure he mentioned it being primarily a ranged sniper support - with a tendency to be far in the rear popping targets. Those crazy jaws are actually less utilized from what I understand.
We'll have to decide what the payment would be because Lila is a minimalist and would not carry around money like your average traveler. She also wouldn't be against threatening to bite Sarant and saving her for a future meal. Just because she wants to change her species image doesn't mean she'll let people walk all over her.
Of course, I understand that. Which is why I left it open for interpretations to how Lila reacted. She could very much choose not to pay, or even ignore Sarant's charges. Because to my initial understanding and logic, Lila wouldn't even have had access to any sort of currency considering what she is. The narrative is merely to emphasize Sarant's pettiness and greed.
Edit: I tried to understand your character and played her as minimal as I could - I apologize if it is not as you designed your character to be.
As the volley of Howitzers hit the sandy plains in the general direction of Bahl and her squadmates, explosions thumped all around their proximity creating craters of varied sizes. All which were barely hitting, as the howitzers adjusted their aim with every shot more accurate than the next. She noticed Phantom Zero engaging the Wesson Squad, to which Nine assumed Edoric to be able enough to handle it by himself - not to mention that the ranged-supports in the rear would have provided him with ample support.
"Main Systems: Combat Mode Activated" Bahl's AI spoke up, as the NCM powered up its relevant systems for combat. Nine deftly veered to the left and right with her clunky and slow NCM, quick-boosting away from the approximate impacting point of the defensive howitzers - as if predicting the enemy's projectiles.
Her eyes scoured the battlefield while Bahl's sensors highlighted her targets, as she made mental notes of the distance and fire delay from the defensive platforms after every shot. With these in mind, she would also calculate the approximate speed of the projectiles via the delay between fire and impact. The data was then used to script a quick software that reads the pattern of engagement by the defensive platforms with adjustable variables - now running in real-time tracking. Essentially, it would notify her of any imminent howitzer rounds with the approximate area and time of impact highlighted over her HUD. Seemingly impossible for a mere human, but with the excessive NCM implants she has within her body, it was very much possible.
Nine pushed forward to the objectives, eyeing on the closest howitzer platform which was guarded by a few more MG emplacements. However, the appearance of a decently sized - probably a medium classed, hover-leg NCM forced Nine to reconsider her plan of action. Armed with what seems to be two automatic shotguns on each arm, it appeared to be an NCM customized for engaging in close-quarters.
"Well, new ones, I'm Raymond. These guys are assholes, huh?" the pilot of the hover NCM opened on all channels and broadcasts his introduction which seemed more like a taunt. "Four versus one with defenses support..sounds fair, dudn't? Hahahah! Yeah, right!"
Keeping a noticeable distance from the NCM Raymond was in, Nine attempted to skirt away from him in order to make use of an opening where she would sneak pass Raymond and eliminate her objectives.
Quick question before I engage in combat, are the Wesson pilots Ace/Royalty rank when they are described as 'highly skilled'? I'm not sure if I am to treat them as grunts or a notable fighting force with Phantom easily going up against 3 of them XD
If the former, I'll be happy to leave them behind and head straight for the objectives. If it's the latter, I will provide assistance to the vanguard team (aka Phantom, Himiko, Tiger(?) and me)
