"We are the Light."
SinÊad Argent ⢠21 ⢠September 28 ⢠Female ⢠Demisexual ⢠The Empire
⢠Seona, Argent â˘
Appearance:
Compared to the rest of her family, Seona stands at a much smaller 5â5â, though she compensates for it with her dignified, assured bearing. Seona dresses and acts in a manner typical of members of the âBurgundyâ Court, the traditional and ancient precursor of the current Empireâs aristocracy. While terrifically conservative and obsolete, it brings to mind the Argentsâ status as an Old House, one of the first Highborn families on the West Continent; with a rapidly diminishing treasury and growing enemies at every corner, the family needed every bit of posturing it could sustain, and clothing was by far the least dangerous vice. Although she wears a high-necked summer dress instead of a full gown, the fashion does have the effect of making Seona appear older and more severe than she truly is. Add to the fact that she prefers keeping her long hair braided or pinned back to keep it out of her face, perhaps the most telling sign of her age would be the youthful, excited gleam in her eyes.
Personality:
Some aristocratic women find it tiresome to be bogged down by etiquette lessons and the various subtleties of noble life. They rail against their status, engaging in a rash of scandalous behavior until the itch passes and they âsettle downâ, as if there had been any change because of their displeasure. Seona did the opposite. She thrived under the tutelage of her mother, conforming wonderfully to the role expected of her, and she was a natural study when it came to dissecting and plucking apart the power relations between man and his fellows. She was cunning and perceptive, both traits easily hidden underneath her calm and demure temperament. Her gentle, motherly countenance gave her an air of wisdom and maturity, which drew people in to listen to her and obey her suggestions. Deadly traits, when used properly within the hedonistic circles of the Empireâs elite. Unfortunately, Seona was both soft-hearted and woefully lacking of any ambition; she despised the eternal war between her fellow nobles and their pet artisans, and resolved to use her talents humanely and only for the benefit of her family.
As the middle child in a rather large family, Seona had ever been the mediator between her older siblings and the younger children. She was a diplomat at heart, and wished for peace and a fair resolution for all parties involved more than anything else. However, she hides steel under her smile...
