As Cathy says, provisionally accepted. Since this RPs initial planning we've intended the ship's captain to be an NPC, since he's essentially a tool of the Intelligence, basically under pain of death to follow orders from the agents aboard, which can be awkward for someone to RP. If you're cool with that, go ahead.

Here I go! Hope you like it

Fully accepted from me, cool species!
If you have a character in mind that is basically a backup to a main character, you can just write them into the narrative as you would an NPC rather than making a whole other CS for them
Lololol, only 5 enlisted ranks in the Army? I love how you include basically all 9 enlisted ranks for the Navy, but not the Army. I understand this isn't meant to conform to modern military structure, but I'd at least throw in Sergeant (before SSgt), Master Sergeant, and Sergeant Major. Also, if you're going to have a Lieutenant Colonel but not a Colonel, then I would suggest it just be replaced with Colonel.

Also, if it helps any, modern Air Force ranks are as follows:

Enlisted:
-Airman Basic (AB)
-Airman (AMN)
-Airman First Class (A1C)
-Senior Airman (SRA)
-Staff Sergeant (SSGT)
-Technical Sergeant (TSGT)
-Master Sergeant (MSGT)
-Senior Master Sergeant (SMSGT)
-Chief Master Sergeant (CMSGT)

Officer:
-Second Lieutenant (2LT)
-First Lieutenant (1LT)
-Captain (CAPT)
-Major (MAJ)
-Lieutenant Colonel (LTCOL)
-Colonel (COL)
-Brigadier General (BGEN)
-Major General (MGEN)
-Lieutenant General (LGEN)
-General (GEN)

Sorry to get picky about semantics. Being in the military, I can't help but nitpick that shit. Otherwise, I am quite interested in this RP, and I am also more than happy to further advise on military information.

The army structure is based on the actual British Army, the navy is based on the US navy with some Australian elements. Believe it or not, there is more than one structure in the world than that of the US.

@Ozymandias Originally, the character wasn't even an officer, but I thought it would be a bit strange to have such a, for the lack of a better word, "low" rank in charge of security in a place with 40 000 people, but I see your point. So First Lieutenant to Sergeant is good, then?

That's a good point. It strikes me as weird that an officer would be demoted to such a lofty rank as a punishment, but I take your argument. You're welcome to use a higher rank!
@Starlance Your character is accepted, nice details in the history. Please re-post it in the Characters tab and you're good to go.

While accepted, I'd prefer it if when your character got busted it was to a lower rank. I'm liking your idea of being put into the rates after the court martial, but I don't see officers being demoted to one of the highest rating rank. Ideally go to Petty Officer if navy, corporal/sergeant if marines.
@Ozymandias You still interested in this, or should I just assume a no-no?

Sorry man, I forgot about this! I'll have to give this a miss for now, I've gotten involved in something else!
I have returned!

That species looks fine to me! Go ahead with your character and let us know how it ends up aboard the ship with the rest of us
@Ozymandias

I put it down in my character sheet that there was only a small team of marines there for security purposes is that what you GM's had in mind?

Yeah, that's fine :) they're there for anti boarding, search and seizure, etc. They will also be involved in combat I have planned
Sounds good, guys! Yeah, there are a few marines aboard the Sythian, but it is, again, a transport, so it might just be a section of men. Later on there is scope for large scale stuff :)
You can get away with merging personality into the history section if you want to
I'm developing the military side of things as we speak. However, I'm away till Sunday, so I can't update yet. The military is similar to modern day structure, with some sci-fi elements, and is separated into branches. For now we have the navy and the marine complement, but on more developed planets that we're visiting there will be the in-atmosphere army and air forces. You're more than welcome to make an officer aboard the Scythian, but be aware that it's just a transport to get us to the planet, it's not a battleship or anything.
