Current I was thinking about Train to Busan and Peninsula before I went to be last night, and then had a dream about the Office cast in a zombie world. Michael Scott got bitten and sacrificed himself. Q - Q

Bio

An anxious riddled 20-something year old that likes to write and be chaotic. I like meeting new people, but it can be pretty hard to keep going with conversation.
I like to play da video games.
Almost all of the characters I use are multiple years old, and have actual art. If I post art of them, it'll most likely be watermarked, so if you'd like to see the un-watermarked version, feel free to send me a DM.
I work at 3am two days a week, so if I'm slow to respond to anything, I blame my exhausted state of being.
Constantly questioning my gender identity. Thinking of seeing someone about it at the beginning of the new year, but we'll see how that goes.

Memento Mori. Unus Annus.

Thanks for answering all of my questions! Here's my boyo, let me know if it's too much.

Name: Remicius Mouroge
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty
Element: Darkness

Personality:
Being born into nobility, one would think that upon meeting Remicius, they would be greeted by a charismatic young man. However, they get just the opposite with the nobleman's son. Keeping to himself, Rem is the type to hide away from parties unless strictly instructed to attend. He'd rather keep the company of a book, learning all there is to learn of the world around them, than hold a conversation with another person.

That isn't to say, however, that the young man is cold. Awkward towards most others, if he sees someone in dire need, he'll step in to help them. A trait instilled in him from his youth, politeness goes hand in hand with his name on tongues.

When one does break through the awkwardness, to the soul inside of the quiet shell, they'll find someone who struggles with demands. From a young age, Remicius only did what was expected of him, not what he wanted. The dream to travel the world, experience it first hand, would never come to fruition. Rem is a boy who has cast aside all of his worldly ambition for what was expected of him by his father. To become a Magic Knight or an enchanter, to use the power that was given to him to bring more money and fame to their family.

Equipment:
A small silver dagger
A black satchel, mainly filled with money. Also contains a journal that Rem that’s with him everywhere, and his favorite book.
A pair of black gloves are tucked away into his satchel.

Skills:
- Recalling Information - An avid reader, Rem's favorite things to read are non-fictional books about the world outside of Lowick.
- Social Network - The son of a nobleman, Rem’s father has made all sorts of connections, for better or for worse.

Abilities:
Shroud of Darkness - Rem is able to call on the darkness in the middle of the day, casting a wide area of pure darkness. Perfect for escaping a bad situation, or keeping others from spying on the group. It won't last for very long, but it should be enough time to allow the group to do whatever they need to do (so long as they do it quickly). It fills the area in a dark fog like substance, and evaporates into the air without a trace when finished.

Cloak - Any time after dark, when the sun is completely gone from the sky, Rem is able to completely cloak a person with darkness. This renders them invisible for a short amount of time. They are, however, still able to be tracked by foot prints, smells, and noise.

Tendrils - Manifesting the darkness, Rem is able to solidify it for a short amount of time, into a group of four tentacle-like entities on his back. They attack anything that gets close, and defend from projectiles.

History:
Rem was the product of an arranged marriage of two powerful mages. The second son between the two, he met their expectations where his older brother had failed. Clyde was a brute of a man, born with the mind of a rock and the body of an ox. Rem was just the opposite.

While his older brother was still first in line to succeed his father’s business, Rem was being raised as a conjoined arm to his brother. The two, together, would run the family business their father had decided. It didn’t matter if they wanted that or not, it was what was going to happen. Rem never had a choice.

Perhaps it was that fact looming over his head that made him hate his life as a noble so much. Dreaming of greater and grander things, it was hard to pull Remicius away from his mind at a younger age. Even with being a gifted mage, he wanted for more. An exciting life, a life away from Lowick, from the parties and the talking and the people who acted like they knew him but in reality knew nothing. As time went on, Rem still held out hope that one day, his life wouldn’t be this life he had. That one day, he would be out of the city, traveling the world, experiencing it with his eyes instead of his dreams.

If he had known what his dream would have brought about, he would have stopped a long time ago.

The attack on his hometown changed everything. Twenty years had gone by without much of an incident; sure, there were monsters outside of the walls, but they had all been easily dealt with before. His family were some of the lucky ones, surviving the attack, they escaped with the King and his men, away to safety.

When the call for adventurers sounded, Rem stepped up with no hesitation. No matter what his father said, he was going to do this. He was going to do whatever he could to cast these monsters back into the abyss that they came from, and save the world in the process.
What is currency like, and are we going to have a limited amount when we start like in D&D?
I had another question. I'm interested in possibly playing a child of a nobleman that resides in Lowick. Do you have anything planned already for a type of class system (nobility, lower-class, middle-class), or would I be able to wing it?
It had been a spectacular display, thus far. Loud and chaotic, the fire flickered and filled the air as a heavy stench of gasoline wafted with it. Across the way, in clear view of the front doors that had been unceremoniously crushed under the wheel of a motorcycle, Adam stood. Hands in the pockets of his thin coat, a smile rested pleasantly on his face as he watched and waited to see what his comrades in arms would start up with.

The city of Siracha had not quite met his expectations. Not that they had been high to begin with. Never having been to the Country of Japan, he truly hadn't known was he was in for. Flashing lights and busy streets, people milling about at all hours of the day, unbeknoowest to what was happening around them. That was what he expected. Then again, it wasn't like they were in Tokyo.

"Perhaps I'll have to visit when this job is done," pushing himself off of the lightpole that he leaned against, he stretched his neck, moving his head in a circular motion as he began to slowly move towards the warehouse that was being accosted.

As he moved, one hand slipped from his pocket, a pocketwatch being pulled with it. The chain dropped, the sharpened triangle swinging aimlessly. "At least the inside of the warehouse should be warm now," a soft mutter to himself, he stepped across the broken barrier, being sure to get no where close to the flames.

Swinging the chain up towards his hand, Adam grabbed the triangle in his palm, and squeezed. A soft hum left his mouth as blood began to coat his palm, the triangle being let go to drop with gravity towards the ground. The red liquid began to drip, the wound large enough to cause a small trickle. As it dripped, it began to clump towards, and in a matter of seconds, a dagger of blood rested in his hand. Casting his gaze swiftly around, he made an attempt to spy where everyone was hiding. Were there any blind spots for those up top?

The man closest to him didn't seem to be making any moves to stray away from the door. Blocking their only exit was a good idea, to say the least, and Adam was certain that a man his size surely could have done it alone. However, he didn't move from the door.

Instead, Adam closed on eye, smile still on his face as he shifted his arm, and made to aim. The dagger was flipped, blade in his hand, before it was thrown without anymore hesitation. Aiming straight for the head of one of the Yurei's.
Just a minor question. I imagine mages don't need to be kept to just one type of weapon, such as staves? Can they use daggers, swords, bows, etc, and push their magic on to those weapons? Or is it more common for them to not have any weapons or focuses?
Interested!

Name: Adam Lockley

Title: Other members have been known to refer to him as the Smiling Demon. Adam takes this more as a compliment than anything.

Age: Twenty-Seven

Division: The England Branch

Class/Species: Devil Feeder

Abilities:
There's nothing more powerful than ones own self. With his contract with a demon, Adam has been able to hone the ability over his blood. Wielding it as a weapon, he's able to shape and mold it into any possible form. Liquid in his hands, it hardens and sharpens at his will, becoming a devastating force. The more blood that Adam uses, however, the more that the man becomes unhinged. He's a ticking clock - the more damage he takes, the stronger he gets, but the less time he has left to be able to fight.

Adam is able to track minimal amounts of blood, in any type of light. He can easily differentiate between Youkai blood and human blood.

Able to create what he refers to as a blood pact, Adam has the ability to temporarily control another person, so long as he's touched a wound of theirs. Blood binding together, Adam can control the blood in another person's body, objectively making them his puppet. If the will of the other is strong enough, however, they can break free. The ability itself also works on a timer, only giving Adam a five minute timer on which he can hold control over someone. As it ticks down, it drains more and more of his energy, so it's used more as a last resort than anything.

Having to harm himself to draw out his true power, when Adam believes he is no longer in danger, his body begins to regenerate itself. This, however, is a very slow process, and if he's bleeding too much the process won't begin.

Personality:
Always grinning, it's hard to think that Adam is anything but a kind-hearted man. His tone is light and airy, his body language loose and open. He's a kind person. A truly, truly kind person.

In reality though, Adam is a fox. Deceptive to the very core, he has no real allegiances to the people he works with, and will often twist his opinions to match those around him. Always on the move to get himself in a better position than he was, he'll twist his words to make himself more likeable. Latching onto someone, Adam will do whatever they need to do to gain their attention, to swoop in and become their closest confidant, until he's obtained what he's after and ready to move on to a different target.

Background:
Adam was an ordinary child, living in the midst of the bustling city of London. A bustling city, a mega metropolis, London was the perfect place for Youkai to spread. As a sixteen year old, Adam had been lucky enough to never encounter a demon. Not lucky enough, however, to remain that way. Out with friends, being a normal teenage boy at the time, the day would fade away into a tragic night.

Losing friends, watching then die, their blood spilling out onto the moonlit street - it would be enough to break any man. Adam, however, wasn't broken. He was enthralled - and the man that had saved him! Elegant, wild...old. An old man, as nimble as one half his age, it was hard to pull his eyes away. The battle was over in a flash, leaving Adam breathless and curious, so very unlike his fellow citizens. The only person remaining, the young man was lucky to have not died that day.

That day started what would be the rest of his life. Following the man without a second thought, he was introduced to Augustus Mercer, a long running member of the DHA. Adam found out all that he could of the man, and would soon pester him until he became an apprentice in the way of hunting. Being introduced into the world of Devil Hunter's and Youkai, he would engross himself into it, until he was eighteen. Joining the DHA became his primary goal, and any new experiences he could have been given he took. Even when he was able to take on a contract with a Youkai, there was no hesitation.

Traveling the world with the man who had saved his life, it wouldn't last forever. A particular nasty demon, a brewing storm, tore Augustus away from it. Killing the beast, saying a final good bye, Adam took the chance to live by his own code. To live and explore, to put his curiosity above everything else. He would take any contract given, travel the world to his hearts content, and ultimately end up in Japan.

• Inventory:
A silver pocketwatch, with the engraving of a moth on the back. At the end of the chain, instead of a clasp to hang on his clothing, there's a triangle that dangles. It's as sharp as a knife.
Adam always carries a few small bandages on him.
A simple silver dog tag hangs around his neck, the name Augustus Mercer.
@TheWendil
Aha, I did indeed mean five minute timer, not fine. Sorry, waking up is hard.
I updated the ability on his bio.
