Castitas caught up to him, taking his hand lightly in an attempt to comfort him. "Thank you for protecting me..." She whispered to him. She followed behind closely, now afraid of the shadows of the forest. She cared for Markus... deeply, She just didn't like the sight of him when he was enraged. She swore she saw his eyes flash red, like a demons, but she trusted him with her life. Even if he had killed the bandit, she would be thankful for his protection, otherwise she would be raped, treated like a slab of meat to be thrown to a pack of dogs.
Castitas ran towards him, too scared to touch Markus but had to do something. "Wait! Markus, if you take this man's life, you will be no better than him. Please, Markus!" She held her tears back, being so frightened. Her voice cracked as she pleaded him. "Yes, the man is scum, but he has learnt his lesson!" She brought her hands together, praying as she looked on, horrified. What if she angered Markus and he turned on her like this? She didn't know what to do, some of the bandit's blood splattered onto her robes and bare legs.
Castitas gagged at the thought of the man... Never mind that. She hid behind Markus, yet keeping her distance in case a fight would start. She kept her light magic at hand... even though the most it would do is blind everything around her, including Markus.
"Prince? I never heard of any prince." She nudged Markus back. "My robe is ripped to shreds, if they don't have decent clothes, it's either armour or I'll be walking naked." She meant it as a joke, but the heat rushed to her cheeks, never being more embarrassed in her life. Markus' tightened grip almost hurt, but she didn't say anything, being cautious of her surroundings.
"I'm sure he king is a good enough man to believe you. I promise that you will see her again." She nodded, not wanting to ever see Markus unhappy ever again, but a sadness formed on her own face. 'Markus and the Princess...' She thought internally, forcing herself to think; '... I hope they will be happy together.' She forced a smile. "When we get to the caravan, maybe I should get myself some armour too!" She laughed.
Casitas blushed, taking his hand eagerly. "Lead the way." She had this feeling in her chest that she never felt before. What was this? Love? Nobody could fall in love with a stranger, not even a God, and that is how that Orb came into existence. "So," She said aloud. "What's the princess like? I bet she's beautiful!" She said, interested. She had never met the princess, though she had helped pray for her well being, but she knew that she was kind and loved by her people.
"I can't think of anyplace but your kingdom." She remembered him talking about what happened with his father. "B-But maybe we'd get more done a lot quicker if we found a caravan or something... "
Castitas smiled, heading towards the Doorway. She looked at the creature out if the corner of her eyes, looking away again before she angered it. "It's not opening it's mouth..." She looked worryingly as Markus. "Maybe we should walk closer?" She let go of his hand, walking backwards closer towards the creature. The a Doorway held it's hand into her view, waiting. She looked confused, tilting her head at the large, lanky hand held in front of her until she realized, it wanted payment. She took off her circlet, placing it into the creature's hand, which snapped shut on her jewelry, taking it eagerly. It finally opened it's mouth letting them pass into their world, where the trees were no longer entrapping them.
Castitas looked at the ground. "The Orb from legend, maybe if we get that back then the tribe which attacked La Luz Fortaleza, would be releases from the spell cast by Shadow." She looked around, trying to think up a plan. "I know it sounds dangerous, but we need to infiltrate their base... Except I haven't a clue where it could be located." She paced around, noticing the Doorway Creature walking their way. "Our exit is coming, we might as well leave, seeing as this place no longer has any use... For now." She held her hand out to Markus. "We at least need supplies, and I'm starving!" She lets out a laugh.
G'night.
