"This is no time for workouts, old foe!" Shah-Nahul shouted as his opponent pressed down on the mammoth-man's knee. The crowd was getting restless at the lack of a clear victor- Shah-Nahul wasn't often one to job, but at the speed this fight was going he may not have much choice in the matter- that is, until he glanced up to see the steel-fisted one soar into the air like the great Frahlgootenach, his hands forming a great, shining hammer...
Kun Fan suppressed a grin as he stroked his beard, "Oh, but of course, brother, how could I forget? Yes, the terrible swamp beast, who hoards great wealth deep within the Grotto of the Gulai!"
He packed his pipe as he spoke, "Yes, yes; quite the tale, that. Legend says it can only be slain by the mightiest of heroes, and that a great boon will be granted to whoever can accomplish such a task... It is a shame, though, that there is no one willing to stop and have a drink with us weary old men, for it is truly a magnificent tale.", he tutted as he snapped his fingers and lit his pipe, taking a long draw. Kun Fan sighed.
"Yes, it is truly a shame that none wish to hear of the grotto's guardian, is it not?"
Shah-Nahul hit the floor hard, teeth rattling and stars filling his eyes as his claws burrowed still deeper into his opponent's flesh. He kneed Zharkov in the stomach as the pair rolled across the arena floor hoping to knock the wind out of the Space Russian.
To be honest, I was thinking about joining, but then I saw how tremendously smug you're being to a guy who's just giving his evaluation of your homebrew. Frankly speaking, you're coming off as antagonistic to Jerkchicken (and me, for that matter).
You can't exactly ask people to take your comments at face value when face value is still remarkably snide and patronizing.
Wow, way to be a total jerk.
M-23 dashed forward, clotheslining (8) the fourth angel as it rushed past Hiraku. M-23 took care not to break it too badly this time.
Defense
Something magical
M-23 grabbed the first angel's ankle while it was distracted and slammed it into the pavement (12), the statue-robot-whatever's body exploding from the sheer force of the blow, leaving nothing but some pottery shards and unrecognizable slag.
"DISASSEMBLED."
"Goddammit, M23! Keep the thing intact next time!"
"VERY WELL."
M-23 looked for its next target.

Defense
For a lesser man, the road would have taken upwards of an hour and a half. Kun Fan, however, was no lesser man. Within the old man raged the strength of an ox and the speed of a purebred stallion. He dashed down the path, the rickshaw wheels moving so fast it looked as if they would go careening off into the forest any second, but they never did- such was the quality of his younger brother's craftsmanship. Forty minutes, and they were there, on the outskirts of the village.
Kun Fan relaxed his pace- no need to rush past when he could let others eye his wares. He drew the rickshaw into the village center, retrieving a blanket from the back and laying it out in front of the rickshaw, sitting crosslegged as he finished setting up.
Nothing to do now but wait.
>Roll 2 dice + all modifiers that apply. Add together all dice of the same value and take the highest value (so if you rolled 1,3,3,4,4,4,6 then it's actually, 1,(3+3),(4+4+4),6- meaning that the value is 12.)
>Opponent rolls defense
>Subtract defense from attack. If the result is 0 or less, attack misses. If it is above 0, it hits.
>If it hits, multiply the (attack-defense) roll from earlier by (1+damage mods). That's your damage.
>If you deal half your opponent's max HP or more in damage, they lose their next turn.
And that's how you basic attack.
Power Attacks are similar except they have a flat amount of damage that can only be increased via the extra damage mod
