Sorry for the delay on my part, I was sucked into work and haven't really been on much. Posted finally, i'm holding the record right now for most faints in this role-play.
He was a little more than thrilled for lack of better "expression" and he used this term loosely. His head throbbed a bit, that sensation seemed to be the only true connection to "feeling" pain, redundant no? With the faint consciousness he possessed he felt his body being dragged along scrapping against glass at first, the sound of a protesting human puppet, Pinocchio as background noised filtered out somewhat by delirium.
A thud woke him from his dazed state and he was in the presence of wood, with Derek's tonfa's propogated against his skull. The rage in his eyes, where as the mercenaries were inanimate and encased in steel. The "CI" could be seen illuminating in both eyes, as they burned a brighter neon red, to his crimson irises. Derek applied pressure to the mercenary's head, pushing him against and into the wall with all the vigor he could muster. Retribution seemed to be the common choice of men that have lost their way, and isolation the path of broken ones.
Violent screaming erupted, as a brutal beating had started. Derek releasing all of his frustration against a nearly immobile Salforge, who at this point had experienced his first ever combination of physical and mental fatigue in tandem with one another, having had to deal with the rebels, his colleagues in their peak conditions, and now at Derek's mercenary. His physical dexterity was all he had to go on at this point. His steel heart could gradually heal him, but the process was staggeringly long, not enough to put complete faith in.
Derek grabbed his head and violently began to slam it against the wall, before going through the wood and tumbling over. Blood was on his hands, and the mercenary was in no state of mind to overpower him. As he tried to inch away, a foot trounced into his back and pinned him to the cobblestone. Derek held both of his tonfa's at the ready to violently brutalize the mercenary.
"That's enough Derek!" a voice from just beyond the alley came racing through. It belonged to a young man, he was fairly pale with a lilac colored shirt, holding a cell phone of the same, if not paler. "Do you really think this is what Anya would want?"
"Joshua...get lost. You wouldn't understand my personal view, it's selfish, but right now that doesn't matter!"
Salforge cringed, "Let him get it out of his system." he said followed by a sigh. "I already told you, I dislike fighting kids, and I wasn't given orders against harming Traverse Town civilians."
"SHUT! UPPP!!" Derek exploded with a blunt strike this head, that struck with a loud ping. "What!?"
"Next time don't let me get a few seconds to build up my defense. Haste."
The mercenary rolled on his side and kicked against the now open fence, using haste to boost himself while sliding on his back, upon hitting the wall and eyeing the item shop on his left, he got on his feet and quickly ran towards the world door. Before he could reach the exit, down dropped the white knight from earlier, nearly taking off his head with a violent spinning kick had he not of reacted while under the influence of haste. Catching the knight's leg, the mercenary tossed them off to the right.
As he reached for the door, he was repelled by an invisible wall.
"What??" he said in genuine surprise. Just to the right, there was a man in a red hoody just like when he first arrived. He gave him the thumbs down, and pointed behind the mercenary.
"You can't leave until you finish my little game." the voice came from Joshua as he slowly crept up on Salforge with smile. "That band you were dealing with earlier, pressure them out of our town and i'll let you leave."
Salforge simply looked at him.
"No. Fuck that." he said while forming a cube in his hand, it was a little different compared to the ones he normally used. As he held this in his hand, the knight rose up, and over the wall they all came.
"Your seriously thinking about skipping out on us? We're only getting started!"
As the odds began to stack, he mercenary just plopped down and looked at them all, with a full pan of his head. He sighed, before standing up and dusting himself off, he looked at everyone one more time.
"I've had enough of everyone's useless banter." he said snapping his fingers, instantly bringing in several of his blocks tactically spaced throughout the entire area. He shot one with a burst of decay, and it literally bounced in between them all before creating an atmosphere of trip lasers, being tethered together by the blocks. "If any of you even thinks about moving, I'm going to move one of the blocks, and slice you to ribbons. Now i'm going to leave, and you guys are going to follow me. My next destination is going to be the key blade graveyard, now if you want to wait for me there where there are no people we can do that too, either way, now is not the time to squash our issues."
He proceeded to take a step back as his body was slowly but surely dissociating into blocks before completely vanishing. You could see it in his eyes, he was creeping into unconsciousness as he summoned what "will" he had left to initiate this single-huge burst of concentration all at once as he was fading away.
O'nam and the others looked on, soon the blocks faded and no one was in danger at that point. Derek then came running out enraged, and the knight that noticed him acted "strangely" almost instantly fleeing the scene.
"Secure that world, for now we'll just play to his favor...for now."

//Gavin Twilight Town [Hotel Room]
There was a brief window where ceiling flashed, and mercenary came falling in, dropping exactly on Gavin, forcing him out of his unconscious state. Gavin jerked as the entire bed bounced and the recoil from the springs threw the nearly dead, mercenary onto the floor. 'Huh??' a confused Gavin finally came to consciousness again.
He looked over to the side to see that the mercenary appeared...dead? Then to his left, Ryoko, that maid from before speaking with yet another person. Trying to summon his voice, he was still silenced, but he was awake now undoubtedly. If there was ever a time where he was more exasperated, this situation had to top it off. He started to panic and struggle, attempting to free his wrists from the rope, but to no avail.
'Crap crap crap, they're looking this way, what the hell am I supposed to do now?'
I am back, had to fly out to my old state to go to a service for my family member that was held on friday, I only just got back yesterday. I had some time to calm down, and make my peace, at the earliest i should have a post up tonight, the latest would be by Wednesday.
Taking time out for at least a week due to bereavement in my immediate family, please excuse me if I go over this week, my family was hit really hard by a loss. I will let the GM know if I come back earlier, until then, progress without me as best you can.
Depending on how things go, I have given my character Levi to another role-player so should they choose to accept the role.
Name: Maxwell De'Franzisi Salforge | Salforge Age: Actual: 38 years, Physically: 20 Gender: Male
Personality: Salforge has a very complex and often scrapping in the distance kind of ambience. He is genuinely the type to suffer, fight, and die for and of himself. Quite sardonic, intelligent, and quick witted, he puts a verbal boundary between himself and everything as a means to safeguard himself from bonds, it was a natural sense of solitude imbued upon for as long as he can remember. His emotions are controlled, nigh inert, and he's in every situation the most rational and calculative individual when left alone. These effects of is personality were made permanent as a result of the steel heart project, and he's since then found no tenderness or warmth within himself. Much of his philosophy and rants are for pure purposes of misdirection, how he functions and operates always convene with his personal interest first and foremost. To some degree Salforge is an opportunist as much as he is a ghost on the battlefield. He's been searching to be captivated of interest by one that can offer more than a comrade, but offer him warmth that he's lacked for the last 30 years.
Appearance: A none too ridiculous height of about six feet solid. With a kind of physique and poise that compliments his slim yet tone figure. A skin pigment that resembles a tanned beige, if not darkened slightly more. Limbs are of adequate sword length as does apply for his legs as well. Midsection is slim but built to say he does work out. His mane is black and flowing to spiked tips that fall just past his shoulders. From the front his hair is parted by five bangs, three to the left, two to the right, the ends tipped with an orange highlight. A single strand drifts somewhere in between, and directly in front of his left eye cutting off just a little past his nose. His eyes are two pools, both red, though at times the left sees the past and the pupil vanishes, there is LED-like image of the roman numeral "CI" reflected from his left eye as an way to identify him as a steel heart.
He wears skinny white shirt, sleeveless. Atop a light black jacket of jean material, the right sleeve is cut off at the shoulder, only on that side. On his exposed right arm is a black arm warmer that runs from the wrist to just past the elbow. Both hands are accompanied by fingerless black gloves, and a golden bracelet on each hand.
His bottoms are more or less the same, a sleek pair of cargo blacks. Pockets found on the back and side, with two additional pockets font below his knees on the sides.
Faction: Empire - Enlisted as High-paying Professional Mercenary
Weapon: Kakugane CI (101) "Dark Malice Cresent"
The Kakugane CI (101) is a portable hexagonal box, engineered by the one and only Darkness in Zero (DiZ). It is ultimately what was coined the "Steel Heart Project" where five test subjects were subjugated to bonding their hearts to these kakugane boxes. In Salforge's case, his Kakugane is called "Dark Malice Crescent" or DMC for short. It is a broadsword filling the length of his entire body, but about 1/3rd of his weight. DMC's design has a curved crescent nook at the broadsword's edge acting as a hook or scrape. It possesses two abilities, one special ability and the other it's dominant ability. The dominant ability is to reproduce the effects of magic spells or skills, copied and carried over by parrying or cutting with the blade. This feature is prominent, but with limitations of storing three abilities at a time, which is why this option is rarely used by Salforge because he risks erasing his first absorbed ability forcing him to shuffle his combat style to make up for it.
Ability Slot #1: Haste - A spell that when cast temporarily increases the movement speed of the user, it has a maximum continuous duration of 90 seconds. And increases Salforge in particular's movement speed to roughly two hundred twenty mph. Haste has a second effect that times down the casting speed of all other equipped abilities, and during the 90 second duration increase all casts and cooldowns.
Ability Slot #2: Decay - The yellow light of decay is the personal technique exclusive to the kakugane named "Perjury". Used in an assault against Salforge when confronting General O'nam briefly. Decay is shot in a straight light, easy to dodge, but has the power to deconstruct matter and transport it to O'nam's "Garden of Death", a separate plane where the body floats unconsciously in limbo. The effected can be restored, but Decay is normally used specifically to temporarily remove someone from an environment, and in no way can Decay kill the recipient, rather it puts them in a state of comatose on a different plane of reality.
Ability Slot #3: The 103rd - The final ability that is directly in sync with Immovable block. The user is able to manipulate the data and physical properties of immovable block and convert the blocks themselves into live feed, to capture, record, and buffer with crystal clear quality. When used in tandem with immovable block, the blocks themselves are capable of acting in a manner to survey enemies at distances. They bestow reflective and refractive traits to immovable block, relinquishing the blocks and those effected/coated from sight. Playing with vision is crucial, when enemies are looking directly at a coated recipient they appear to be gone in an almost complete sense. Sound however is what makes this far from a perfect set up, Salforge has no issues with suppressing his individual sound, but sounds that bounce off his unique body can expose him.
Kakugane CI (101) Special Skill: Immovable block - A program that was engineered into Salforge's prototype steel heart, it is a series of portable blocks and cubes that form a defensive apparatus around the user. Coined "Immovable Block" due to the intense threshold of damage that the user can receive prior to collapse of the defensive perimeter. The key to the defense itself is the size and number of the individual blocks used in proper shielding. The tighter and smaller the blocks, the better the defense, but this process takes 1/4th the time to build up as it would to create quicker and much larger blocks for momentary parries. The smaller blocks are always applied to Salforge's physical body at all times, giving him a constant defense should an enemy break through his much larger and showy defenses. Physical attacks are the least effective against immovable block, magic based attacks do 1.5x the attack where physical attacks do about .75x the damage against all variations of immovable block.
Immovable block is clocked at being able to spread across distances in the instance of touch, or by a single or multiple block expanding one at a time, or combining in unison. The inside of the blocks are determinant of being in a cage, the ground of the block becomes solid and it acts as a means of detainment for foes. When directly touching an enemy or ally, Salforge can afflict them apart of his immovable block for purposes of either both defense and or tracking. This can also be done at a range using a block to compress and coat against the enemies skin. The difference to be noted here is in the application, an enemy or ally can shatter a non-touch applied coating (compression) versus one that is applied via touch. This is simply a matter of touch being the more resilient and powerful of applications that ensure the strongest blocks are applied to the recipient. By touch he can code an entire area, depending on mass and volume of the area, it spreads out the time it takes to coat substantially, even with haste.
The immovable block can create working and moving dummy shells of Salforge (and the likeness alone of others), he can often use this to negate significant damage when his home defenses have been breached, by shedding that layer of shells and retreating. It is also in this instant that the mercenary is the most vulnerable. Switching places with dummies over the distances that they are placed. Lastly he is able to digitize and transport himself and others in a time-consuming process that takes relatively ten-seconds to achieve. The distances that can be covered are compliant to areas that the immovable block has actively coated.
Powers/Abilities:
Steel Heart~ A human possessing no physical heart, no draw to magic, relying only upon their wits and arms alchemy forged from the kakugane. The physics of the user's body drastically change. Without a heart, they resonate and give off absolutely no heat, effectively making them cold-blooded. Their bodies don't require sustenance to maintain, yet its not uncommon to eat now and again as a leisure as opposed to necessity. The body is able to quiet itself, stripping its movements of a great number of sounds making steel hearts insanely stealthy. The user is also enabled to adjust the density and weight of their own body, simply as a defense mechanism when left to the mercy of gravity, it ensures soft landings and if they're captured, that equipment is necessary to move their heavy forms. Each bares red eyes, as a roman numeral scratched on the left eye for those marked. Lastly, emotionless and they exude complete rational thought, with the ability to act, determine, and move without hesitation or signs of faltering.
However, much like human beings, as a steel heart Salforge is susceptible to bleeding, his body type is analogous to that of a reptile without the same necessities.
Bio:
Apprentice of Darkness in Zero (18 Years Ago)
Maxwell De'Franzisi Salforge was initially a remnant of Darkness in Zero's five apprentices. This included himself, Vortemis, Phillip FLLFFL, Oum Van Glieth (O'nam), and Justin Black. Darkness in Zero was a brilliant scientist that studied the heartless, the heart, the bonds of the heart, and complementing it's features to bind it to inanimate objects. DiZ proposed "The Steel Heart Project" or just Steel Heart for short. Where he would physically bind a natural heart to a smaller object of steel referred to as Kakugane.
To this end, all five subordinates were victim to this experiment, none were spared. It started with Maxwell being the first to be bound to Kakugane CI, DiZ's first prototype. It's special properties served to program and overwrite most of his memories and act on a single order before restoring his consciousness. Maxwell was a keyblader at this time in his life, unable to dismiss his unfortunate brainwashing, he released the hearts of his fellow apprentices, those hearts were then bound to 4 other kakugane and placed within their forms, to negate the process of a nobody transformation. DiZ's final order was to slay him, and thus the master escaped with a heartless and nobody to be formed in his absence, both locations were unknown.
When they all regained consciousness, they'd awoken changed. Both in physical appearance and in thought. As steel hearts they lacked emotion, their bodies were rigid and cold, but they all possessed a mutual discontent for their colleague and would find themselves one day to take revenge. Maxwell had fled long since before they came to, choosing to conceal himself for 15 years after the incident, mastering his skills until such times they became necessary. He earned notoriety as a mercenary, and chose to operate under his last name alone, this is how Salforge emerged.
Contract with The Imperials (3 years ago)
In his travels Salforge gained wind and speed as he traveled worlds, leaving markers of his immovable block to traverse more quickly and even revisit to keep up with new jobs and clientele. It brought him to the world of Disney Castle one day. It was riddled with what he'd initially heard to be The Imperial Forces, today known as The Empire. Stating his business he was received hostiley by one individual in particular, his name was O'nam. Unknown to Salforge at the time, O'nam and he had met before, but due to the drastic change in his appearance compared to then where Salforge did not change at all, he was unrecognizable to him. This was also the first time he saw yet another busou renkin user, as he was forced to draw his for the second time in his campaign to fight a superior opponent, this is where Salforge obtained O'nams talent of Decay, which enabled him to greatly resist his agitated assault against him. The commander at the time, Clement Capricious gave the mercenary an opportunity, a place of employment as a hired arm. Salforge acknowledge this, but was unaware of where he would be sent.
Shortly after this agreement with Capricious, he was introduced to Commander Garforge Tumbling of the first division. Beneath him were General's Ciel, Levi, Haruka, and Glace. Levi and Ciel, two female generals served as his overseers and it was from these two women he learned several talents, tricks of psychological and emotional manipulation, weapon proficiency, usage and efficiency, but most importantly his hand to hand paired with his ability to tank damage. Levi also lent Salforge her skill "The 103rd" to serve as a marker for surveillance and movement analysis.
Through his earlier years, there was a profound group that attempted to resist the empire, on these assignments it was often Salforge was paired with General Ciel. During the first raid on radiant garden five years ago, a group emerged, remarkably skilled but ever so reckless. Division I of the imperial forces served to suppress them within the span of a year that their efforts were pushed against the empire. Some were enslaved, others were put to public execution, very few of them escaped. Having bore witness to it all, it was a bloody first year for the newly hired mercenary. He wasn't big on doing what he was ordered to against kids, but he was responsible for capturing some of the key players, he could never forget their leader Capell, and a strong resistor, Anya as a result of his endeavors. In a solo encounter he defeated one of their strongest players, Ty Dex in a battle of stamina and vigor. Eventually a few short months of hunting and the stragglers were brought to light with the exception of few key players that escaped, Derek was was among them alongside Concordia.
Present day.
Name: Gavin Age: 17 Gender: Male
Personality: Gavin is really quiet, to such a point its almost awkward. He holds it in, but in truth his dreams are the scale of a catalog of worlds. It's in his nature to withhold information for an X-number of reasons. Anywhere from self-protection or even just his somewhat timid nature with talking to people. He's introverted which is not to be mistaken for synonymous with "anti-social". To put it plainly he has limited energy and a constant sense of caution of others. However despite this airy and ambivalence surrounding just how to feel towards Gavin he's quite...refined in fighting...refined in killing.
His nature doesn't seem or appear like an acceptable aesthetic for him in appearance alone. Where he pretty much has fallen off the bus in terms of social interaction, it's made up in the clear cut address of his combat competency. Skilled with all forms of melee armaments, familiar with pressure points, basic kido, and even able to identify vital points on warm-bloods, and weaknesses on all manner of machinations as well as the feral creatures of darkness. Gavin's acts are nearly extinct, nigh feral and beast-like, it'd be comparing him to a rapid animal. He instinctively can immediately identify strength from the sense of smell, and presence.
Gavin is a red head, with short yet conformed and flowing hair. He stands at a maximum height of five feet and seven inches, weighing in at about one hundred and fifty-seven pounds.
Faction: Unbound Hearts
Weapon: Gavin utilizes one set of impeccable armor broken into three pieces.
Curse of Akreiss (Gauntlet, Left Arm) - An intricately designed gauntlet located on his left hand. Gavin has been unable to free his hand from the hold since it first appeared. With a chalky white finish, it's light and one third the weight of his arm. It's design was not meant to defend primarily, but it has been imbued to boost all of the body's known physical skills and perceptive senses. Because of this Gavin is able to jump a one story building with ease, at lift up to a maximum of six-hundred pounds on his own. His strength is determined by his base body weight of 193 lbs, and his jabbing speed of about 36mph from a stationary pose.
Darkwatch - (Wristwatch, Right Arm) - The darkwatch is a wristwatch that synchronizes with the user down to the flesh. It imbues them with a number of abilities related to stealth, camouflage, illusion, and self-visual augmentation. See, this in turn reflects on the fact Darkwatch is semi-sentient, meaning it's alive. Bound to the user's wrist, it has a function to react to the environment on it's own without Gavin truly doing much to influence a change. This weapon ability is known as "Extreme-Conditioning" which will enable Darkwatch to adapt in terms of camouflage.
Note: Gavin is normally naked with the exception of underwear and socks, the rest is provided from Darkwatch emulating clothing.
The Black Prism - The prism is the third and final piece of Gavin's set of armor. It in turn is not truly armor, rather it is a relic of some kind. At the center of Gavin's sternum, a transparent crystal is embedded inside of it. The Prism is what powers the other two pieces of armor, Gavin is fused with, but it seems almost impossible to remove from his body. In addition to being a potent power source, The Prism is closely related to the nature of Gavin's heart. Despite the fact that he's naturally good, he has a strong and potent alignment to darkness. Darkness has turned this prism black, yet has given Gavin a life blood. The major draw to the prism, should it be released from his body, he'd die instantly. His death in particular, guarantees he will not spawn a heartless or a nobody.
Powers/Abilities:
Abnormal Human Senses - All of Gavin's senses, of which includes the ability to detect heat, are amplified beyond human levels thanks to the effects of the prism. His sight is keener, sharper, and his eye can diffuse objects in motion while panning the background completely clearly. His ears can pick up sounds that echo off of objects, not sharp to hear a pin drop from more than 30 meters, but below that, yes. His sense of smell and taste are augmented to the point his tracking skills are vital.
Tracking - Gavin is by no means a hunter, but he's had some form of basic survival training. Tracking is more or less a professional skill, able to discern the size, weight, and species by utilizing visual clues and scents. He is also quickly able to discern time periods from how long an enemy or ally has visited an area, by doing simple measurements of footsteps and how potent their individual scents are.
Noesis - Gavin possesses a sanction of cognitive thought, or perhaps it's his intuition. Without pause or delay, Gavin quickly asserts his cognition with paramorphs inside of his head, like putting pieces together or playing a game of gungi exceeding all personal set expectations. It is the ability to quickly measure and immediately weigh three things. The situation, the environment, and all surrounding objects and persons to bring forth a keen countermeasure in a rather hastened fashion. It is far from standard intellect, at times appearing occult, but it intact isn't and mostly relies on extensively educated guesswork for a series of actions to be perceived as "correct" to bring Gavin to his desired outcome. Noesis however, is by no means infallible as it can be disrupted by an opponent with sharp instincts able to guess at Gavin's sequenced planned and prevent at least two or more of his steps to disrupt the entire sequence.
Frigid Vestige - "Within darkness, also exist unparalleled cold"
As per the prism, Gavin is a living deep freezer among all if not other things. From darkness, he draws upon the coldest temperatures and brings forth arctic levels of cold air and moisture. This manifests itself as darkness, the coldest of its kind. Victims of either direct touch can range anywhere from being slowed to halted in their tracks. Gavin's darkness is deep and vast, he can create a chasm about the size of a finished basement when utilizing the full reaches of it's range. Able to afflict the air as well as the ground, create projectiles, and is nigh immune to the effects of cold. Even Gavin's breath is a real icebreaker, he can even blow a cool gust of wind. Between the cold and the ice meshed with his darkness it leads to a number of other applications, none yet discovered.
Note: This part of my abilities will potentially be the only thing that grows with this character and will be implemented in post before it is added to the template itself.
Bio: Holding to omit this for now.
_________________________________
Name: Levi Age: 25 Gender: Female
Personality: Levi is in a word, charming. Her intuition is unusually strong, she has a natural sense for communication and persuasion. The woman is extroverted in most every sense of the word, utilizing both charm, wits, and persuasion she has brought many of what were once her enemies to her side. She tends to vote against unnecessary aggression whenever possible, her keen intuition and sense of judgement are slightly above average.
Appearance:
Adding soon
Faction: Imperial Army Division I: General "Envi"
Weapon:
Brynhildr - A two-handed sword that can actually be held with one hand, but not wielded with one. Said to be inheritance of the first born child from each generation of the "????" household, the blade is destined to bond to the first born via a birthmark. Brynhildr is a terrifying weapon, as it offers the wielder a razor sharp edge with innate skills that buff the human senses, voluntary motion such as the gross and fine motor skills. When Brynhildr is held, the senses and voluntary actions are instantly at their peak, when not holding brynhildr, it takes roughly forty minutes for the skills applied to dissociate, the user will begin to notice a change in all their senses over this cool down, this is likely a function of the sword to avoid impairing the user or worse, setting them into a state of shock (think of homeostasis when the body instantly reacts to a spike in blood sugar, and within 30 mins, a drastic amount of the sugar has been removed/dissociated and the body crashes. Same scenario with buffing to debuffing, but its done reasonably slower to avoid passing out.)
The Brynhildr possesses one more powerful skill, it can disrupt fields of concentrated magic(s). An example would be while training the mercenary Salforge, she was able to dissociate one of his stronger barriers in a single swing, done so without much effort; This technique is called the "Banishing Blade" by her family, yet can only be unleashed as a counterattack vs. regular attack. In terms of physical stability and durability, Brynhildr fairs well against other forms of steel.
Grenades(Sticky/Frag) - This is pretty much self explanatory.
Powers/Abilities:
Armamentarium - Weapon skill, weapon mastery, weapon proficiency. All things armament, Levi is a seasoned handler. From CQB ballistics, CQC, and Long-Range armaments.
Electrolysis - Similar to hyrdolysis, Electro meaning Electricity and lysis meaning "to cut", the general is able to separate electrical currents of passive electrons within her own body to emit non-fatal and non-lethal blasts of electricity. It's applications are, but not limited two charging conductible metals to posses an electric charge, reversing polarity of electrical currents via the state change using Electrolysis. When exposed to water or being submerged in water a discharge occurs and it afflicts the user, destabilizing their inner current for a minimum of one-hundred and twenty seconds. Non-reactive materials, such as the non-reactive gases (All elements in the same column as Helium "element 2") are unaffected by Electrolysis.
The 103rd - The One-Hundred and Third is what is known as a web or mechanism of flying orbs, maxing out in total number of one-hundred and three. This skill is what has made Levi famous and discerning of the title "Envi".
The orbs she spawns function as a second set of eyes. Normally they are spread around the area, they function as real-time capture devices, which record, and relay information. It has three active modes, one that enables the user to track enemies and locations in real time, one that plays back recorded events, and one that records while the user is at a distance. However, they lack the reliable range that Salforge's Immovable blocks possess, maxing her total range out to about 75 meters. The orbs are non-aggressive and are incapable of inflicting harm. They're actually quite fragile and easily destroyed once spotted. If there is at least one remaining however, it can bud from the nearest one
Bio:
Levi comes from a strict family, one that prides their reputation, discipline, and honor over all else. Pride to the individual is something that is suppressed in their family, but to Levi it wouldn't end there. She is the first born, with only one other sibling, a younger brother. She was the oldest, but possessed many ideas that were nothing short of groundbreaking, talents that would've helped tremendously. Her father was seen by her as a suppressor, they argued many times over issues that either put levi's life in mortal peril or would tarnish their homes reputation.
When Levi was nineteen her father and here had one final fight, a confrontation that could no longer be avoided. This widened the rift between her and her parents, and inevitably she left. It was around this time that the empire had come to invade their home world. Without regret, and fueled by latent rage Levi enlisted under Commander Garforge's first division. Their home was a strong point, and the imperials had no interest in taking it at least at the time. Upon enlisting followers, the empire left along with Levi, finally leaving her home behind her. Regretting that the only one she would miss would be her brother.
It's been about six years since that time. She trained General La Roche (Ciel) and the Mercenary Salforge for about three years, before Salforge was drafted to assist the second division of the imperial army. Having dreams of a much stronger, bolder sibling are whats riddled her into a state of intrigue and horror. The Black Prism, an heirloom of their family was moving, and her brother was the carrier. It could mean many omens, the bringer of infinite night...so she thought. Yet...from him, it felt simpler, more rudimentary, she seeks to find out the ambitions of her brother to safeguard the empire from the imminent veil her brother will bring.
Had to edit my post with the rest of it, having a trackpad on your laptop with no way to disable it during posts, makes making post kind of annoying sometimes because you're accidentally double clicking.
'Man your annoying, you apply pressure to see if the nerves respond moron.'
The sound of voices were faint, suddenly his body began to tense and embrace motion.
"H-he's moving! He's alive!"
"Hey Mr. You fell pretty hard just now, you alright?"
Salforge turned his head, spotting two kids in their teens. One with brightly colored orange hair, the other a young female with a faded rose colored hair. He nudged, before bringing himself up to both of his feet, and walking past them both almost as if they were ghost.
"Hey! Talk about rude!"
"Shiki. Maybe he can't see us, don't tell me you forgot about the game already."
"O-oh right."
"No. I can see you kids fine." Salforge turned and looked at them both making eye-contact.
'Hmmm. We should confirm this by using the player pin...'
The teen in the purple threads tossed up a pin and clutched it in his hand. The player pin was a symbol of participants in the reapers game, it also construed a gift that helped players reach objectives by enabling them to read the minds of those on the RG or real ground. As the boy clutched it tightly the area illuminated blue for him, as he attempted to scan the mercenary, there were bars of interference, as if protected by noise, there was only static above where normally would be a speech bubble.
"You see that??" the boy said to the girl.
"Your name is Neku right? And your Shiki." His response was met with cautious and confound eyes, "Don't look so surprised, using each other's names so casually when talking to a complete and thought to be unconscious stranger was a bit lax. Anyway, you kids look like you know this area, I only want some information."
The two looked at each other, then back at the mercenary.
"For all we know you could be a reaper. Hardly willing to take that chance, we can't scan reapers either and Hanekoma said they can move between the RG and UG. If your not a support, you've gotta be a Harrier. I don't trust any of you to be honest about anything."
He looked almost as if he were ready to fight, the mercenary didn't falter in stature, it would almost seem out of character if he did so even remotely. Salforge sighed, then turned his back to walk away without notice before the situation escalated any further. "Based on your response towards me, this isn't going to get anywhere so don't waste anymore of my time. I'll ask someone else, see ya."
The was a shot at his feet, he wasn't even fifteen feet away and there a singed spot on the ground. Just before, the sound traveled from high up, the kids and himself were on the ground, this easily meant it wasn't them. The mercenary stopped walking and put the hands on the back of his head, as if he were under arrest. He chose not to resist this time.
"To think you was actually appear here after what happened."
Jumping off the roof an easily recognizable teen that was transitioned into his later teens. The mercenary turned around slowly, captivated by the face of the young man. He suddenly began to remember, this was his hometown.
"Derek..." Salforge said lifting his hands from his head. "To think Clement didn't catch you...to think he failed to move your world from orbit. You...everyone, it's been years-"
"Anya's dead. Thank you, when I learned you were the one that captured her, I had to wait for the day to-"
"Take revenge right? Something about how human beings interlope always brings this into consideration. Do want to beat me within an inch of my life in order to validate that you did something? I'll tank everything you can throw kid, then walk away still alive having done nothing. I don't like fighting kids, but too many times have I been forced to. Nobody likes the empire, I'm just means to suppress those kinds of people, it's what I get paid for kid, don't take it personal, thats how Anya died remember?"
Derek's anger seemed to fester as if about to overflow.
"Before you loose your cool, I'm not entirely sure if Capell was executed or not, but I know for a fact Concordia escaped, Ty Dex was silence by me. Man he resisted harder than any of you pushovers, vitality and endurance is king in times of war, remember that. Anyway, everyone seems to be rather upset with me today, that I can speak so calm yet coldly of all past occurrences. Ok? Doesn't exactly weigh on your conscious, heart, or whatever you call it, when it's made of steel, it already takes the burden as the same alloy it's produced from. Go figure."
The children were still watching, listening to every word. Clearly Derek couldn't hear or see them, and to confirm what they said about reapers, perhaps something happened to him during that light show not long before. Either way the mercenary found himself eating a string of compressed magic bursts fired from Derek's Tonfa's. He came down and angrily charged the mercenary collectively striking him in random places as Salforge didn't bother to move, but concentrate on the rapid repairs using haste.
"You should know, it was Haruka that killed her, he only did it to spite you Derek. Yes, I captured Anya, but he was the one that executed her, to lie is irrational and unobtrusive. All this what I can only determine as rage, frustration, and anger collectively, is only serving to weaken your ability to comprehend the magnitude of what's happened. You really want to do something, join those in resistance where your group failed, thats all I will say really."
His frustration only continued to escalate as he rapidly attacked the mercenary, who simply did nothing but stand there and absorb the damage with his passive defenses and high durability. After a while, he slowed down and dropped both of his tonfas (they were key blades btw) and slugged Salforge right in the cheek, pressuring so hard it left him red, and threw him through Ghepetto's window.
There was a typo in one of my earlier post. The mercenary never traveled to Twilight Town, he traveled to Traverse Town (not sure how I confused the two when I wrote my intro post).
For the time being, i'm gonna wrap up my subplot per my main OC before joining you guys in Twilight Town. As for Gavin, I'm following whatever Pierce has in mind, not resisting the captive position this time.
It was about everything you'd expect. The swift takeover of the world "Cul-De-Sac" transitioned in a timely manner. As she sat behind the desk, there was an ominous feeling that overtook the general. A chill that surged down her spine and as if to pique in a moment of brilliance, it unfolded into a terrible string of troublesome thoughts. She was a soldier, a leader, in line with a powerful mass of imperials. There was no whitewashing her affiliation as an older sister, perhaps it was only natural to be twenty-six and worried of past following. A grave was to be dug for her brother, with that letter to reach the mercenary.
"Just seems like nothing is to go as I envision is it." Levi was usually short on remorse, but felt it in abundance towards herself. She was fairly up in the air right now, their forces would be laced to return shortly to their home world, this was their hallmark, their thirteenth conquest in the short campaign of a some odd number of years of declaration. Things would be coming around shortly enough, brining to a very controversial memory as she sat behind her desk. There was a knock at the door.
"Enter."
A woman stepped through giving a rather brief salute.
"General Ciel? What news have you?"
The icy General stood and perpetuated a grimace for a mere second, before resolving to speak. "The remaining stragglers have been compromised by the commander, he quickly disposed of all but the young vassal claimed by the mercenary. The townsfolk have been propagated to defined labor roles, and the resistance has further been executed. Construction of the factory has commenced, awaiting further instruction."
Levi motioned to Ciel with a nod, a feverish squint, as if to constitute a glare that signaled her of a pressing issue. Ciel seemed to acknowledge as she closed the door behind her. "Is something troubling you Levi?"
"It's my brother. I imagine by now our family has already tasked him with eliminating me, regrettably I've moved my protege Maxwell against him."
"I'm never one to question motives...but Sir Salforge would take an order of execution-"
"Seriously. I'm counting on that, and if I know my own blood, he'll still manage to make his way to me in some form. In fact I am counting on that drive to do what we've been planning for the last number of years. Setting the stage of decay from within. The worst thing that could happen..."
Levi paused for a moment, Ciel appeared as though she knew what was coming next.
"I spent a lot of time melding and synergy of our efforts, a true stalwart at best. Ciel, I fear should any of us fall, then the issue of the imperials will fall to you. You are my right hand, you're from another dimension entirely, and as a stranger to this plane I can bestow this trust in you. It should serve you well to befriend the mercenary, it sounds selfish, but he'll serve as our shield, as we act as swords. As for my brother...well, I'm sure he's already in enemy hands, but knowing him something will go wrong and he'll take advantage to escape."
Ciel took a firm stance arms folded, and looking to the window along with Levi. There was still much to come about a coupe being staged by the first division first seat, General.
--------------- Gavin // Twilight Town Hotel Room--
At first movement was feint, as if fighting to regain consciousness, it crept up gradually. Soon both eyes peered open in the slowest animation possible, a combination of daze and fatigue were felt. The young boy tilted his head left, then right, eyes barely open before fully widening. He couldn't speak...HE COULDN'T SPEAK?!
'Silence??? How old school can you get...crap.'
Moving his arms, he noticed they were bound by rope and tied at the top of the bed's headboard. His overshirt was tattered to shreds, he needed a tailor for the wear and tear he'd been doing to his own clothing, a weaver would do. Granted he wasn't in one of the most comfortable positions, but he motioned around left and right trying to pull himself up so that his back was to the headboard and he'd been positioned sitting up on the bed. He grew ever curious as to where he'd been, this looked far too modern, and nice looking to be Agrabah's suite.
'The last thing I remember is the mercenary knocking me out. After that, well, here I am...great.'
Gavin pulled arms to his chest, he tried to blow on the rope, possibly to freeze it. Due to the silence cast on him, he couldn't even change his breath into ice. A woman entered the room, she was armed with a rapier, and possessed the attire of a maid. A maid...WHAT!? His face flooded red, if he could talk, he'd stammer, and couldn't help but remain unable to return another look at her.
"Looks like you've figured out you were silenced. That was my doing, Gavin right? Catherine, Ryoko's........maid." she shuddered even uttering the last word. "I've been tasked with looking over you in her stead, don't worry, you won't be go anywhere so long as you can't use magic. Besides, that debuff is just to suppress your utility for now, I heard you're quite the exceptional darkness user. Can't leave it to chance, please understand."
Catherine had actually entered, believe it or not, to serve him.
"Don't get the wrong idea, she doesn't want you dead...so..." She held a cup of water to his lips, though looking away in embarrassment of this magnitude, her servitude. "We can't have you dying from dehydration, apparently those ice abilities dehydrate you faster than normal, at least thats the conclusion I came when studying you briefly."
Gavin was already gone...yet again! He was fatigued, dehydrated, dazed, and now he'd been rendered unconscious through some manner of highly escalated excitement, causing him to white out. Simply due to the scenario his teen mind perpetuated, being bound to a bed and a maid entering the room, as catherine was looking away, he passed out.
"Your kidding...I suppose i'll have to wait for this damn fool to wake up again." Catherine sighed.
