It's incredible how if you give someone just the tiniest bit of power over others they'll turn into the most self-righteous, selfish, impatient fuckers you will ever meet.

How are some writers on this site still incapable of knowing how a comma works?! It's like the second easy piece of punctuation you learn about as a kid!!!

It'll always be confusing to me when some people regard two or three sentences in an IC post as putting in effort with the writing, yet they consider themselves at a casual/advanced level.

Hey folks, real sorry to say this but I'm closing the roleplay. I personally can't find any inspiration to post stuff for it, and it's really not fair to keep you guys hanging around waiting on replies and plot posts. It'd be better off just stopping it now and maybe rebooting some time in the future when I've thought more about the plot and how I want things to go - maybe I'll just man NPCs instead of my own characters, who I honestly don't think I've put enough thought into to in order to play properly. Thank-you for your participation! If there is a reboot in the future, you will be the first to be notified. :)
@DeadbeatWalking

Okay, I've been sorely tempted for a total of one and a half days - I'm planning on applying, if you'll have me!

Agent Alec Fletcher

Location: Ashland, Wisconsin - FBI Mobile Office
Interacting With: Agents

The tone of voice and obviously patronising words of the Agent wasn't all that surprising to Alec - while he'd never personally been involved with the O.M.E.N lot, he'd heard plenty of stories about how "friendly" they were, especially with the FBI and other similar institutes.

"Alright, I'll see what my slow, FBI-mind can cook up for you fellas." He retorted with a lazy grin, settling back in his rather comfortable chair. Say what you want about warring government factions, but these guys sure did know how to treat you to a smooth ride. "I'm sure a nice glass of malt will help the process along, too." He added, grin looking a tad more mischievous now. He was tempted to take his sweet time just to milk as much annoyance out of the O.M.E.N agents as possible before landing, but there was too much at stake at the moment to be trying. Still, a whiskey would be nice.

Leaning forward and pulling his phone out, Alec flicked through the various information he had stored on there.

"Now, in all seriousness, the last message we got from Murphy was that he was heading to see one Miss Edwina Fairfax. Did some digging on her myself while we were waiting for his report, and turns out she was a relative of the leading suspect in the Coventry case. She was likely interviewed by agents on the scene around the time the crime happened, if she was in the area. Clearly he thought she was involved in some way. However, he never sent the report back, likely due to this new "event" that's occurred, and his untimely demise." Leaning back and frowning slightly at his phone, he recalled having searched through the criminal databases for her. "There was no mention of an Edwina Fairfax in FBI, CIA or S.H.I.E.L.D files, nor any O.M.E.N ones that I could get my hands on. If she's involved in this then she's very good at flying under the radar, and my best recommendation would be to find and incarcerate her as soon as possible."

Stretching out leisurely in his chair, he offered another grin to the third Agent.

"That's if you think you guys can handle bringing in a single lil' lady. Now... where are you hidin' that malt I asked for?"
I'll be making a guy as well - reserving Raza Jaffrey, please!
I think I'll take a trauma Doctor! A&E is wherr all the magic happens.
Nina van Essenhout

Location: The Facility

Ignoring the pretty unnecessary comment about out-running Oshea, Nina nodded and Pietro to indicate she was ready. However, can one really be ready for going at super-speed for the very first time? Exhilarating was one word for it, alongside nauseating, confusing and disorienting. Stumbling slightly as they came to a stop and awaited the elevator, Nina straightened up her suddenly windswept bun. As the pair stepped in to the lift as it arrived, Nina shot a glance at Pietro. He didn't seem to be too torn up about Oshea's death, but then again, he'd been with the group only about five minutes longer than she had, and she doubted it was for the same reasons. Also, not everyone made their emotions clear, especially in pressured situations like their own. Still, Nina had some reservations about the speedster.

"Are you sure you'll be able to aid us in taking down Magneto and your sister? No matter what we may have to do?" She asked him as they descended - not in an accusatory tone, but serious enough to warrant a hopefully serious answer. Regardless of your situation, it can never be easy to aid in the capture - and perhaps even death - of close family.

Charlie Farrier

Location: The Facility

Cassandra's words and touching gesture made Charlie feel a tad bit better, but he was just as eager as she was to get out of the room - not just because of the clock ticking down, but to no longer be in the presence of Oshea and his killers. Jumping slightly at the jarring shots of Cassandra's icer, he didn't hesitate in following her out of the room. Despite his numbness, he too had overheard that another one of them was injured, although thankfully not fatally. From what he could recall, Damon was the dude with the sick tats.

"What are we going to do if we run into Magneto?" He asked quietly, finally speaking after several minutes of silence. He hoped that nobody in their team was wearing metal, but he was certain Magneto could be imaginative with anything metallic in the basement. "Is it going to be a "fire-at-will" kinda situation, or do you have a plan?" With Sabretooth and Othello tied up and unconscious, along with Wonderland dead, he figured that Magneto would be the biggest issue to deal with right now.

@Lamb Of Goth

In all fairness, you didn't say in the prompt that the hunter wasn't supposed to kill the hedgehog eventually.
Darrell Flint

The drive to his new accommodation was a fairly pleasant one, despite the hangover. Darrell had been so set last night to just go to bed early, get plenty of rest, and be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for the early move the next morning. But of course, his old flatmates just insisted on giving him a goodbye party, and it honestly didn't take much for him to be tempted by alcohol and bar crawls. As such, he was currently running on less than an hour's sleep, and still partially drunk and fairly dishevelled from the bender he had participated in. Thankfully his cousin Connor - who happened to be living nearby - had offered to drive him and his belongings up to the new place, knowing about Darrell's current financial situation. It was rather nice of him, considering how Darrell was just stinking up the poor guy's car with leftover alcohol fumes.

"Is this the place?" Connor asked, suddenly shaking Darrell out of his half-conscious stupor. Lowering his sunglasses to peer out of the window, Darrell nodded in affirmation as he stretched. Connor wrinkled his nose slightly, climbing out of the car. "Looks creepy, mate. Probably haunted."

"The only spirits that are going to be bothering me today are the ones still attacking my liver." Darrell replied huskily, getting out with a groan and rubbing his forehead. "Ouch. And my brain." Connor barked out a laugh, and the pair proceeded to take Darrell's assortment of suitcases, duffel bags and rucksacks out from the boot of the car. Considering the size of it, it was amazing that they'd been able to fit all of his stuff in.

Noticing the open front door as he and Connor walked up the pathway to the house, Darrell realised that he was the last one to arrive. Hopefully they hadn't all picked rooms without him. Popping some more spearmint gum into his mouth and chewing rapidly to get rid of his vodka breath a bit quicker, Darrell gave a brief goodbye hug to Connor as he dumped his various bags on the floor outside. Poor guy had to race back across town just to get to his seminar on time.

"Alright." He said to the five people in the hallway as he approached, offering a lazy smile and smoothly stepping out of the way as a boy sent his belongings tumbling to the floor. "I'm Darrell - pleased to meet you." At first glance, they seemed like a pretty average bunch. Three guys - one of which looked withdrawn, the clumsy one rather nervous looking; a red-headed girl that made Darrell wonder about a potential fiery temper; and of course, what was clearly their landlady. Taking off his sunglasses, Darrell ran a hand through his fairly messy hair, silently thanking one of his female friends for letting him use some dry shampoo before he rushed away to his new home. That stuff really did work miracles.
Ooh, interested!
