Serena and two other Slytherin girls, Rebecca and Mary-Ann, were standing still on the road in the east side of Hogsmeade. Those two girls were known to have a high status within Serena's clique but at the same time they could be considered sheep in her flock. Serena valued them more than she did with other 'friends' but she still put her brother Buck above them when it came down to it. While forcing a smile, Serena suddenly said: "Now!" followed by the three girls entering the Hog's Head. They immediately stormed towards Buck. "What were you thinking, Buck?" Serena started "The Hog's Head? How will my plan work if rumors spread of you lingering in such a shady place? I insist we leave right this instant!" Buck put his hands on her shoulders and massaged them in order to calm her down. "Sis, sis, sis... You wanted information on that Ravenclaw girl, didn't you?" Serena frowned and hesitated. "What do you got?" Buck grinned mockingly. "Nothing to worry about, she doesn't form a threat. Scottish, good at Transfiguration and Muggle Studies, and she-" Serena interrupted her brother by pushing him away, thus also interrupting the massage. "You idiot, I don't care about where she is from or what classes she is good at. I just... Ugh! Come on girls, let's leave this place before anyone sees us. You too, Buck." Rebecca and Mary-Ann quickly followed without questioning and it seemed like Buck followed that example.
The four of them made their way to the carriages that would get them to the castle. The girls thought that the carriages moved by themselves, but Buck knew better than that and stared at the Thestral that apparently couldn't be seen by his sister and her friends. "What is it?" Serena asked, but Buck decided not to share. "Nothing." While they drove towards the castle, Serena handed Buck a small round object. "Chew on it. It will get rid of the Firewhiskey scent." The tone she used, indicated that she judged him for drinking such a strong drink on a relatively young age. Rebecca whispered to Mary-Ann: "Is it just me, or is it too dark for this time of the day?" The girls felt something was wrong, first that shadow in the Express, now the lack of daylight. Serena hushed them before they could discuss it further. "Sshh, you two. I can't hear myself think." Despite ordering the others to be silent, Serena talked to herself out loud. "Now, what would be the best way to get even on that annoying Gryffindor girl without comprising my masterplan. Hmh..." Buck and the girls decided to keep silent for the rest of the ride.
