@KiwiBaer ah, sorry, I didn't realize that bit on joining. I can change that if ya really want me to.

As for how she seems, I wanted her to be that unlikely assassin, someone you wouldn't see on the street and expect to be a cold blooded killer, but is actually quite skilled at it. I can flesh out more of her past though in her sheet if you don't like that though, or whatever needs to be edited. I'm flexible and willing to change whatever to fit the rp.
@Cherrywitch Don't worry she can still pet Duke. He won't mind cold hands, haha.
Hello, is there still room?

//edit: i just realized the ratio to males/females, so if i should make a different/second character I can.
Circe was on her feet as soon as the first hound lunged and shook the carriage, quickly being taken out by the smaller girl, her magic appearing to be ice-based, and surprisingly powerful. The brunette herself grinned, suddenly buzzing with adrenaline. This was an actual life or death situation, like in a real adventure. Duke was now growling at her side, his eyes and her eyes both scanning the trees, waiting for another one of those beasts to come from the shadows. Almost as if she'd summoned it herself, another one had jumped onto the cart, attacking the bookish fellow from before-- Duke barked, but before either could move to help, the boy produced a glow orb that seemed to kill the beast. Almost immediately after, she watched with bemusement as he began to cast another spell, and suddenly an orb of green glowing light had enveloped nearly half the carriage; they had a shield now, she noted happily and moved to cover the other end of the carriage, where the shield did not reach, Duke on her heels.

"I've got this end, so just worry about keeping that shield up." she smiled at the other boy, pulling a long, folded knife from her boot. The wagon seemed to jolt then, and again, one of the creatures had hopped over the edge, eyes wild. Circe moved quick, the opposite of Duke, and the two rounded on the beast, the dog barking and catching the things attention, and the girl quickly slashing through its neck. Dark, inky looking blood spurted from the wound and onto the cart floor, producing a sickly noise from the creature before it heaved over, assumed dead.

"Well, thats just gross." she said under her breath, staring at the limp form and sticking out her tongue. Duke didn't stray near it, as even he could feel how poisonous the thing seemed to be. It practically bleed into the air. "No one touch it. I think someone out there said its blood or whatever was acidic.." she mentioned, and then turned back to stand guard over the edge of the wagon. She and duke both stayed quiet while they focused on listening. Circe could hear the harsh breath and quick breathe of more of what she guessed were those dog creatures, and she frowned. "There are more comin'" she warned.

The unfamiliar hum of machinery and distant voices seemed to be what stirred Kazuki to life first, as his eyes flickered under their lids, and his brain suddenly began to shoot electrically with random thoughts and memories. The boys consciousness slowly began to float towards the surface of his mind when the alarms finally began to sound.

To Kazuki, the alarm sounded like a loud but distant wale of some sort, long and even. It wasn't until one of the scientists began to poke and prod at the boy that he finally began fully aware of his awakened state, staring at his own limbs while the nurses looked him over. He was definitely in his own body, but, it was so unnaturally new that he almost didn't recognize it. Scars he'd received from angry shop keepers or street vendors, or from squabbles with other street urchins. He even remembers having a distinct burn on his left hand from a candle he'd received while still living in the church. All of it however, and against all of his own memories, they were gone. The skin that sat in their place seemed as unmarked and smooth as when he was only just a small kid. Not that he was much older now, he recalled.

After the nurses finished with their physical exam, they quickly pulled the child out of the tube and gave him an old, rusty colored robe, which he gratefully took and wrapped around his thin and still slightly damp form. He shivered a bit, and tried to wrap his head around what was happening for a moment, but was forced into a question session with another scientists, many of the questions seeming hard to answer at first, like his memories were covered in frost.

"My name is.. Kazuki. " he said confidently, having that one piece of information down in his own mind, as it was without a doubt his name. It was just something about the way it sounded on his own tongue.
Circe hadn't even noticed Eir scootch closer to her, until the small girl mumbled the word 'cute', and met the elder brunette's eyes. "Oh, yeah, he won't mind." Circe quickly gave the girl approval, knowing well that Duke was more than well mannered around strangers, even if they wanted to touch him. He even had the patience for children, who often got a bit rougher with him, not that he ever seemed to mind. Affection was affection, for him.

Circe made a curious face at Ellias, as if he had just stated the obvious. "Well, yeah. We both would, just like I'm sure you'd like to be somewhere reading right now. But we can't waste our time or energy doing such things, because we're all on a mission, and sometimes for that, sacrifices must be made." she said overly-dramatic, immediately grinning down at her furry companion until their noses touched. "In't that right boy? We're gonna finish this adventure even if we have to live in this carriage for a whole month!" she spouted, and the dog followed with a bark, as if agreeing. She chose to ignore Thomas after his comments, seeing him as more threatening than the others, and choosing to avoid the conflict he'd cause all together. She didn't care if anyone else disliked them, because she and Duke were a team and they had a mission they'd set their minds about doing, and it would be a cold day in the tropics before you stopped that train of though from rolling.

"Mmm, I agree." Circe began, now addressing Fietra, who trotted quietly behind them at an easy pace. "Duke loves carriage rides, cause he's lazy like that.Though, we only ever get to enjoy such luxuries if we sneak on them.., but I tend to get antsy when sitting for so long, so I hope we at least stop through the night and camp." she said curiously, not really too worried either way. She'd make due, as would Duke, and they would be okay, like they always were. After a quiet moment, Circe let her eyes wander along Fietra's horse.. Sugar? Yeah, thats what she called her. The woman seemed close to her horse, Circe noted with a smile. It was good to see others who bonded so well with animals, especially in a world so fraught with violence and cruelty.
