@Polybius Okay so I like Sci-fi but I always ask this if I don't see it. What's the status of "space magic" like biotics (from Mass Effect) or psionics or stuff like that.


I prefer a star trek approach over a star wars one for this particular roleplay if that helps. Techno-babble all you wish but no Force users please.

Trying to get OOC up today. Here is a basic NS for you guys that are interested. Feel free to adapt as needed but keep the formatting mentioned with everything under hiders. You may use ONE image to represent yourself if you wish. (not including any maps or seal/symbol/crest etc.)

When you say realistic 20-21st century, does this mean the aliens need to be reflective of modern social issues in regards to what sort of cultures and forms they can take? Can aliens have a very distinct tech base from the Llvyr Empire or must all the tech be similar regardless of home world origin?

And also, do all species have to have a history with the Llvyr Empire as clients/former clients or can you have things that developed outside their whole continuity? The need to be part of the UA seems to imply the former and I am not 100% certain on what players can be in this RP.


Fair points all sir. When I say 20th-21st century issues I mean to say that conflict in the RP narrative will most likely draw inspiration from contemporary issues in that those are the things I am most familiar with. You need not craft a pseudo-nation based on a modern nation state-be creative as you wish. As for technology, I am considering this RP 'open source' in that anyone may add history/technology/context to the lore and canon as long as it fits the overall feeling of the roleplay. Must you acknowledge the existence of the Llyr Empire? Yep. Did a psychotic transhumanist movement lead to the downfall of said empire? You have to take that into account as well. I hope the setting I've imagined will give everyone the best possible background for whatever they choose to play. I am flexible in those regards as well.

While the technology of Llyr is a basis and guidepost for player nations, you need not restrict yourself to it either. Any interpretation of the mentioned techs (i.e. gene-manipulation, cybernetics, etc.) is welcome. I actually prefer that players come up with super-controversial technologies/social constructs etc. as that will provide some roleplaying opportunities. I would also prefer that players create nations in broad strokes in the initial nation sheets and fill in details as the game progresses. Right now, I am simply gauging interest for this sort of RP-I know that their are some seriously creative minds bouncing around these forums and I look forward to writing some really cool stuff with people. I kind of want to steer away from 'go-to' sci-fi races you see alot of in RPs and popular culture. What do you mean by 'slime-race'? I'm leaning more towards a realistic RP that sort of mirror's contemporary 20th-21st century social issues, and nations should reflect that. Would be interesting to see a nation with more than one race for instance. Nothing is set in stone yet however! @Ashevelendar

The Inner Worlds of the Empire have fallen. Four centuries ago the gene-culling of the transhumanist movement known as Golgotha scorched the core worlds of the Llyr Empire. Taking cues from an ancient religion, the near-perfect humans waged a 'holy' war against the civilized nations and utterly destroyed them. In return, the Golgotha were hunted down by the nations of the Outer Alliance, a confederation of nations that managed to shake off the shackles of Empire in the waning years of that great power. The remnant forces of the Golgatha managed to escape and have carved out a dominion of their own...





In Peacekeepers, you take the role of a nation in an era of reconstruction and uncertainty in the galaxy. Enter the Unity Accords; a council of nations and factions that have signed a treaty in hopes of bringing peace and prosperity to the Galaxy. Roleplay will consist of political interaction via the Galactic Council, an organization consisting of those players that choose to sign the Accords. The main stipulations of the Unity Accords are as follows:

  • Faster-Than-Light-Travel is restricted to use of Warp Gates
  • Planet-Killer Weapons are restricted to Members of the UA Security Council Nations
  • Former Empire Planets are to be re-colonized by UA members
  • The UA vows to defend other members of the UA




Obviously some things are yet to be added but if you are interested in this sort of RP send me a mention! There may also be opportunity to play a single character if that is more your style as most of the RP would be discourse between ambassadors, envoys etc.
