Priest & Hawthorne Investigations - A Modern Fantasy Adventure!

Going to get to work on this right away! Might not be up until later this week, as I really like the looks of this and want to put an appropriate amount of effort into my application. Currently thinking of a human inventor/tinkerer type: good-natured, booksmart, but with a tendency to put his foot in his mouth (i.e. a classic nerd).

Definitely interested, largely due to the Hellboy aesthetic. And I'm glad you mentioned Ghostbusters as well, as I really appreciate how both of those films juxtapose their protagonists' flippant, and sometimes even downright crass, senses of humor with their extremely hazardous occupations. RPs are often very hit-or-miss for me, so it's a good sign when I can already imagine my character's role simply from an interest check.

Will be keeping an eye out for when applications go live. Would love to learn a bit more about the RP's setting, such as the level of technology/magical devices our characters will have access to, and what the status is of the magical community in the context of the world-at-large.

Y'all seem like you have a nice community going on here, and recently I've found myself with more free time on my hands than I've had in years, so I thought I'd set up shop and take a stab at firing up the ol' creative writing muscles located in my noggin. I may be a newbie to the site, but I've been involved in roleplays on forums and tabletops for about a decade now. I'm hoping to hit the ground running and either find at least one I can join by the end of next week, or start gathering interest for one of my own ideas that I've been formulating for quite some time now. Either way, you'll most likely find me in the Casual or Advanced sub-forums.

As far as my tastes go, I'm usually a fan of anything inspired by popular anime such as Hunter x Hunter or Log Horizon, or fantasy settings with open worlds and decent lore. I'm not one to shy away from more original or even avant-garde concepts, however, and I'm certainly open to suggestions, so feel free to PM me if you're ever looking for a player; there's no guarantee I'll join, but at the very least it'll be a great opportunity for us to get introduced!
