Current Nihilism is freedom. To be without purpose is to be free of the oppression of destiny. To be without cause is to be free to make your own. Woe to he who has an outside reason to be. For he is a slave.

Let's not go too far off the deep end. They do have to fit inside the box. And in spite of just how big this thing is, and it's big, it can actually be kind of cramped in here.

I can agree to that compromise.

But life is empty. Always has been and always will be. It's just a way to pass the time until you die and vanish forever into blissful oblivion. So like don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today.

Of course not. But you can't consistently get it out of human writers either. That's why you read all the millions of manuscripts sent to you by would be Tolstoys and Tolkiens and pick the good stuff.

Bio

Long ago in the distant past there was only color. Color to be loved, to be hated, color to please thoughts and corrupt minds. Color to color but newer shape. And than one day everything changed. We do not speak of this event nor of the times thereafter. For they were dark times when color took shape and shape rejected color. To this day the two remain separate, ever touching but newer becoming one. With one exception.

What you see before you is the purple cube of the cosmos. The merger of shape and color and ultimate avatar of the color purple in its physical form. Its N-dimensional form exists beyond your comprehension leaving but a shadow in the form of a cube for you to perceive. A cube with right angles and yet no sharp edges.

It's guardian, a being of it and yet distinct from it and one with it all at the same time dwells within. Or perhaps they dwell together, or just dwell. The later is most certainly true these days a the cube orbits earth having after an eternity in space discovered the internet and its endless supply of cat videos. Now the two orbit hungrily in search of satellites to consume so as to feed its insatiable hunger for cute.

I am.
That was powerful. I stand impressed.
If we are talking about the sort of thing I mentioned there is basically zero depth in it. That's sort of the fun. You just get to shut your brain off and admire the madness.
For my part all I am asking is if this is a temporary delay or if it's just the pacing of the game. Temporary delays happen. Life is like that. Happens to me too. But like if this is just the pacing that's another story entirely. Not that either is bad on its own. But like the pacing being that slow wouldn't be for me. And I don't want to get bogged down and than drag you down with me as I said.
Well that just happened. Seriously, Mia was impressed. Seriously, fully impressed. In the past 24 hours she had witnessed omnicide, interdimensional travel, explosive planetary disassembly, hell, proof of intelligent alien life not descended from cows, proof of existence of the legendary kai and a strange pink girl literally reassembling a giant city in an evening... But you couldn't exactly eat any of those. And after last nights "sleep" and her adventure this morning with a can of cold, scorched baked beans she would have given her horns for a cup of hot coffee. And boy did that kid deliver.

Now this didn't mean she had to like him. The brutal way he stepped on poor monkey girls feelings back yesterday was just inexcusable no matter his mental state. And she was sure he was in one just as they all were. It just didn't excuse things. But right now was not the time for such thoughts.

Rather it was time for coffee...
Cool. In that case I shall dump the quick one I've had stored up for days now and be ready for you.

And done.

Also, glad to have you back.
I may as well add adaptability to the above. Sometimes derailing just happens and you end up with something that will be worse by trying to stick to the path. So, an ability to adjust planning for a next-best bet or at least take a wider curve to the main goal helps a lot in making the story natural. You're in for a hard time if you don't keep possibilities in mind.

So true. No plot survives contact with the players.

This being said in my experience when plot crashes headlong into players what ends up coming out of that explosion is often better than what you originally wanted to do. So it pays to be flexible in regard to going with the flow to some extent. It's a fine balancing act really. But when it works it bloody works. Like I have had entire tangents happen entirely because a player demanded something mad that were so good that now a days if I ever rerun that RP I am using those as part of the as designed plot.

And I mean mad. Like the official this world face of one of my elder gods is literally an old man selling ice cream sort of mad.
On that note what's really important for a game in my view is to set your expectations for a post rate as early as possible before starting the game. You don't want a bunch of people joining some of whom can and want to post as often as possible whilst others are happy to do so once a week. That's just an invitation to have people drop out because they either can't keep up or end up being utterly bored to tears waiting.
