Aundair leaned back. "Well I saw a prostitute once who had four different sexually transmitted diseases. I had to perform a emergency surgery on someone who passed out in the street once. Turns out he had swallowed a bag of assorted drugs and it had burst open. I barely managed to save his life. Apparently a policeman was about to search him for it. Nothing that interesting though. Unless you're interested in my time at the academy." He covered his face with his hands and laughed "We did way too many ridiculous things. One time, under the influence of free time and considerably more alcohol, me and my friends stole a teacher's techie leg. It was a detachable prosthetic... we gave it back later of course, but in all fairness, it was hilarious." He placed his drink down and reached into his coat to pull out a pipe. "Do you smoke?" he asked
@Zelosse Wait, you're canadian too? I was born in Ontario!
I live in michigan so we just get obnoxious amounts of snow! I had to dig out my door so that we could open it once
Aundair looked up as he heard Reinham announce the destination. The name itself meant little to him, but all new information was welcome when entering an unknown area. He was in the middle of sitting up when the lurch hit the ship and he had to fight not to flop off of his chair onto the ground. Pushing himself from his seat, he was seized by wanting to see this new land. He adjusted his gear and made his way towards the ladder to the deck. As he passed Reynald he clapped him on his back
"Ready for this mission? Because I sure as hell need to get off this boat and stretch my legs." he waited a moment to hear Reynald's reply and then turned to bound up the ladder, his greatcoat swinging slightly back and forth as he climbed. The hatch rose quietly and Aundair raised his hand to shade his eyes from the suddenly bright light.
"Wow... odd, that's not quite what I expected." he laughed to himself at the childish notion of eagles and dragons flying over his head. Looking to his left he saw the deckhand that he had beaten earlier talking to several of his friends. He raised his hand in greeting and continued onto the fore deck to see out to the coming land. He could feel the wind blowing through his dark blonde hair and smiled at the smell of wood and earth. It had been a little too long from the land for his taste and he was ready to feel something solid underneath his feet. He watched the approaching land quietly as he waited for the ship to finally arrive.
@TheDarkTemplar beautiful haha
I feel like I'm sitting in on a conversation between gods about what they are going to do with us simple mortals
Several of the bar's patrons came over to Aundair and thanked him for the free booze "Ahhh shaddup. It's better to spread the wealth around a little bit and what is worth more than a drunk night with the friends." he turned back to Samuel "So tell me about yourself captain. You have any saucy tales of adventure and daring? or is it a bit more like a normal life?" he sat back on his seat and took a sip of his drink.
@PatrickDrummer sorry, i havent been on at all. i've been really sick
Aundair sat up when the announcement was made. An hour till they were there? He couldn't wait. It had been a while since he had seen any action. His hands itched with anticipation.
"Come on, you gonna bet or fold?"
"I'm out." he replied and tossed his cards down onto the crate. The deck hand smiled and raked in the coins on the table. Aundair stood and pushed his chair back before walking towards the Witch Hunter. He listened quietly to the man until he had finished before returning to the crate.
Talk to the others? He could do that. Better for someone to have your back than waiting for you to slip up. He picked up his cards and looked at them. A pair of tens. He placed them back down and tossed a coupled coins into the middle then looked back up at the four who happened to be insight at the moment. Kaite, Reynald, Syrris, and Vayen. Kaite was a little unsettling, Reynald was rigid in his beliefs and though that could help it was also dangerous in certain situations. To say that Vayen was cocky, would be a bit of an understatement. All he could do was hope that she knew her limitations. Syrris however seemed to be more level headed.
Another pair of tens looked up at him from the crate along. I guess step one would be to start making friends. Aundair thought and tossed another couple coins into the middle. This guy will not be one of them
"Well, show em." The deck hand flipped his cards over revealing two spades. With the river he had a straight.
"So close, but yet so far away" Aundair smiled and turned his cards over. "four of a kind" The deck hand's face turned into a frown of anger.
"You must have cheated! No way that you dealt yourself that! I'm taking the pot and letting you off with a warning." the young man reached for the coins and then stopped, staring cross eyed at the short steel hovering in front of his large nose.
"I suggest you stand up and leave the coins before I shorten that beak of yours." Big nose stood up and stormed off while Aundair slid the coins into his pouch. "That's a good lesson to learn" he said to himself "Never play cards with a sailor." He laughed to himself and placed his feet on top of the crate. "Oh well, money well earned." He leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes
Name: Aundair Ivellos

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Apperance: Standing at 6 feet tall and clocking in at 180 lbs, Aundair boasts fair skin, strong jaw and a built frame. This is may seem deceiving as he is quite young. Dark blonde hair cut thin on the sides and longer up top match well with his storm gray eyes. A large scar is etched across his face starting just below his left eye and crossing through the bridge of his nose. His voice is loud but not overly so. Wearing a dark leather jerkin and legs with steel strips across the upper chest, his armor is lighter and he relies upon his speed to avoid being struck. A regulation greatcoat and a black belt grace this ensemble. His helm is made of burnished steel with a round back and top, while the face plate is distinctive. The large eye holes exhibiting his grey eyes, are emblazoned with Celtic style knotwork. Below this is a solid piece of metal sliding down and ending just after his jaw at a point. The helm face has a crest that begins at the point so that the middle of the helm's front is a vertical ridge. A long steel sword and a matching short steel sword are belted onto his hips, both kept razor sharp and made of a light metal. The decreased weight allows him to deliver deadly slashing blows but is only effective against lightly armored or unarmored foes. Metal is likely to deflect the blade.

Personality: Aundair is the first to grab a beer and the last to surrender. Almost to a point of fault. Jolly and always ready to crack a joke, he is rarely seen without a smile even if it has to be forced. He is bold, brash, eager to prove himself, and dedicated to upholding his own honor. This is, however, a point of conflict for him. He is pulled between his sense of duty and his desire to prove his honor. At times, he has been disciplined for disobeying orders in which he must coerce information on a mark from a civilian who won't give up the target.

Strengths: Aundair has trained solely his footwork and skill with his blades to increase his speed and accuracy when dueling.

Weaknesses: He is very trusting, and usually takes information at face value. Focusing mostly on his two blades, he has all but eschewed other weapons and has trouble using anything but his preferred weapons

Equipment: His armor, greatcoat, both swords, the runed dagger and his helm.
